I just recently migrated here in the united states of america and I am what people would say as a movie addict, in the positve sense of the word, that is I watch movies a lot and a tv addict as well. I am able to watch a lot of movies and tv shows in a single day. So when I arrived here in the US I was very shocked how expensive it is to watch a movie so I asked a friend to refer me to a video store and that when I discovered blockbuster. Well here in florida there are not a lot of video stores so blockbuster is really there, i think at least one in each city. so opting to enroll in the total access thing it is really easy for me to rent online and exchange it immediately after viewing a movie in a nearby store...as compared to netflix..so for me blockbuster would be the best thing to do in terms of saving in watching movies...

This is one service you want to shy away from, not only do they lie to their customers but they are no bargain. I know over 100 people who blog daily about the lousy service they offer. They have a 3 dvd plan and when you sign up for it you will be lucky to get your 2 dvds in a week. They tell customers they don't process on Mondays, Fridays and weekends. And when they recive your titles back and they claim it takes two business days for their system to process them so if you send the dvds back on a non processing day you can expect up to a week before the next titles releases. When you call customer service they offer no help they have a written script to tell customers and thats it. Go to Netflix and Redbox for your rentals you will glad you did. Also their online watching is poor....nothing but major troubles just like their financial status customer neware!

I signed up for blockbuster online when it first came out and stayed faithful for quite some time until the price kept getting higher and higher for the same plan. I enjoyed the store drop off option and also at the time I was able to exchange in the store which first was unlimited and then turned only to 5 exchanges. For a loyal customer who had a high plan and had the service since the beginning I thought it was unfair. I finally switched to Netflix after blockbuster online kept putting my account on hold for payment problems when there was nothing wrong with my credit card. I would constantly e-mail and the problem was never fixed so I finally closed my account. I've had netflix for over 6 months now and love it so much better and have NEVER had any problems like I did with blockbuster..

Blockbuster doesn't want customers who return movies quickly. And if so they should honestly say that or come up with better variety of rental plans.

Recently they increased turnaround times so now I could get only 3 movies per week on 3 at a time plan vs. 5 or 6 movies per week before. They have non-enforceable agreement saying things like we will ship next movie as soon as we receive; shipping usually takes 1 or 2 business days, etc. It all lies, they just do not reveal movies they received and they delay shipments for more than 2 days.

I wonder how they'd feel if customer said "I'll try to pay for 3 at a time 16.99 per month".

I see nothing wrong with the plan 1 at a time 3.99$ per month; limit 2 movies per month.

But it is wrong to say "Unlimited 3 at a time plan for 16.99 per month". There are online reports that they take up to 11 business days for movie turnaround. This way "unlimited" is just a catch phrase - it is very lilmited to about 9 movies per month.

I have been a customer of Blockbuster.com for about a year. Very easy to select the movies from their many list. It takes about a day to get the movies. They also have the feature of in-store exchange instead of mailing the movie back. The best part is that it's free to ship the movie. The movies come right to your mailbox/or home address. If you ever have a problem viewing one of the movies just go to blockbuster.com and write them a little note...a movie is send out immediately. I have been very pleased with their service.

I have been a customer of Blockbuster since April 2005 (although my account is currently on hold). The price for plans is more than I wanted to pay, but you get the convenience of returning movies for an exchange for an in store rental. They do have a good selection of recent movies, but classics are harder to get (longer waits, carried in fewer shipping centers). I've had mostly a positive experience with them. I placed my account on hold because most of my queue was long to very long wait (one DVD still showing as very long wait for over a year), and because I wanted to cut expenses. I alternate between Netflix and Blockbuster to save money (used to have both at one time-3 at a time plan).

we love our blockbuster online movie service. we can get new movies all the time without even leaving our house. for $20/ month we get 3 movies at a time plus we can exchange up to five times a month in the store. thats the price of about 4 movies regularly. it is a money saving and time saving service. it is especially great for people like us who live in rural areas and have longer travel times to video stores. there is also a wide range of movies that aren't available in the store. we started using this service when i was pregnant and working full time and didn't feel like doing much when i got home but crawling into bed for a movie and it has been great after having my baby and staying home and not wanting to go out for a movie. we love this service and will probably continue to use it for a while.

I signed up for Blockbuster through the mail and love it. I have been a member for almost 2 years now. They are extremely easy to work with. I've had DVD's get lost in the mail and once you report it they send you the next DVD in your queue no questions asked. You also get two free rentals every month. I love that because I have a store across the street from my house. I love that they bill me through my credit so I have no late payments and I have no late fees for movies that I keep for a while.

I am hooked on the great service from Blockbuster online. I have the 3 movies and 5 instore exchanges for like $19.95/month. You can't beat it and you not only get to see a lot of movies but the price can't be beat, especially if you love movies like me and my family do.

I left Netflix (read my review of them and you'll know why) and decided to try Blockbuster. Since initially joining their service, their rates have increased a good bit. I actually thought about stopping it in protest of their fees, but ended up coming to the realization that it was VERY worth it for me to keep it.

I'll begin by saying that I am a movie buff; therefore I probably watch more movies than most folks. I can spend an entire weekend camped out watching movies...back to back.
With that said, I like to have a steady supply. I don't like to have to wait too long to get the next movie. I can always run to the video store and get what I want, but the whole point of the online service is to make that unnecessary.

Like Netflix, they mail you out movies that are in your queue. My blockbuster account is the maximum of 3 movies at once for $37.99 and an unlimited quantity that I can have per month. The fact that they both mail out movies is the ONLY thing that they......

So I recently visited my local Blockbuster store where I spend at least two hours a week 15 minutes at a time deciding which season of which show I just have to rent so I can catch up on some pop culture seeing as how I've living under a rock for the last 5 years - or at least it feels that way sometimes . So anyhoo I'm there and I happen to notice a HUGEsign in the window claiming that this store is " NOW HIRING ". Now this sign has actually been there for at least the last 3 months and seeing as how every time I go to this store, day or night, weekend or not, I only see one of the same 3 employees, and two of them are the manager and asst manager-respectively, so I am inclined to believe that this place could use a few more employees. So any way the only reason I even took any notice this particular visit is because my psycho boss fired me from my last job recently, which you could read all about in my last posting. So I go in and rent my flicks and ask the manager for an application....

My husband, 3 kids and I love to watch movies. We have a very hectic life and anything I can find to make my life easier...we do it! Blockbuster online offers so many choices. Something I have found to be so wonderful is old, old movies I watched with my mom, you can find them on Blockbuster online...how great it is to pop a couple bags of popcorn, get some softdrinks and all of us curl up on the couch to watch a movie that I loved as a kid.

Another thing I love is they give you one free store rental every month. Blockbuster online ships out 3 movies and you can keep them as long or little as you like. Easy for me...just drop the prepaid envelope in the mail...so easy and it even has a peel off label for easy closure! And sometimes if I know I will be passing my local Blockbuster store I drop in and trade my home rentals for free in-store rentals! You can't beat the savings...especially since rentals are almost $5 a month everywhere! Blockbuster online will always have my...

I have been using blockbuster online for about a year now. The reason I like it is not only are movies delivered right to my door, but if I can't wait, I can go to the store and exchange a movie. In addition, I can manage everything online. It's great for anyone who is tired of all the good movies being gone at the store and have a hard time getting them back to the store on time; since there are no late fees, ever!...
