I was really concerned about buying a touch screen cell phone becuase I am hard on phones. I have had it or almost 10 months and have not had a problem with the screen. The only problem I have encountered has been the camera - it takes great pictures (when it works). The camera often comes up with an error messages saying it cannot open due to another application. Overall though, I love the phone.
...

well my husband got these new phones from verizon and it was a buy one get one free kinda deal. And I notice that his works great and has no problems he downloaded the new update for his blackberry with no problem, but my phone, well I seem to think that I got the FREE one, cause it sucks and doesnt work at all like his, we have tryed to update mine but it doesnt take or something. The idea of it seems cool if mine worked like his, but it doesnt. Daily it frustrates me. I downloaded the Vlingo and it helps alot but still I wish it worked as good as his.
...

The Storm is an great phone with many functions. There are many free applications that can be used without fees. Additional applications can be purchased. There are times when the phone freezes and has to be rebooted, but that is not very often. It isn't as lightweight as it could be, but it's size makes it easy to fit into a pocket or purse. the sound quality of the phone is very good and I have never had a problem hearing the other person. The camera takes very good pictures for a 3.2 mexapixel camera. Hopefully the next version has a higher mexapixel count. Also the ability to zoom in and out with the camera would be a great addition. Sometimes you can't get as close as you would like. The memory is ok, but if you have too many pictures, the memory fills up quickly and then there is no room for multiple applications to be stored on the phone. Also, to move pictures it has to be done one picture at a time and that is very time consuming.

Fr3shc0M says "Not the best model for Blackberry, but tolerable...barely" about Blackberry - Storm Cell Phone

My dismay began upon receiving my first newly-released Blackberry Storm via shipment from Verizon. It sure was all sparkly, and induced that "WOW" factor when I opened up the box to see my brand-new phone. But within days, it was already blanking out and not operating as it should. So I spent 1 hour and 45 minutes on the phone with tech support and after what they call "washing the memory" on the phone and re-booting, and downloading the Blackberry Desktop Software on my computer...I was back up and running--or so I thought.

Then came the battery troubles. It wouldn't charge at all, even with the charger plugged into a hard outlet vs. a car charger, and I had to head to the nearest Verizon store for some assistance. The representative deemed it having a bad plug-in charger and gave me a new one. He said it didn't think it was the battery, but I insisted he swap me out a battery in case it *was* the battery, because I didn't want to make another trip into the store. (At the time, I traveled...
...

rketcham says "The Blackberry Storm is a gread device, i recommend it " about Blackberry - Storm Cell Phone

As a consumer who is very apt to the latest technology i can honestly say the blackberry storm is a great pda/smartphone or cellular device whatever label you want to put on it. The phone offers an arry of features which after a little getting used to, i use on a daily basis. The phone has a 90% user friendly rating mainly becasue most of the options are found in a menu and you need to really search to discover the uses. The camera is great and the ability to send to other blackberry users is awesome. It came standard with an 8gb memory card and that is more then enough space for my music and media content. Texting is a breeze and the fact that the keyboard layout changes with the angle of the phone is great because my fingers are to big for conventional keyboard phones. My only legit beef with the phone is the lock button, sometimes is seems like it unlocks itself and pocket dials, another problem is if the screen is locked and i recieve a call it seems as if the call is delayed...
...

In all, we'd say the new SurePress interface is better than the previous version, but it still doesn't feel as precise as some of the other touch-screen smartphones. There were numerous times when we'd try to select something from a list menu, and it ended up picking the item below it. SurePress certainly sets the BlackBerry Storm apart from the crowd, and we understand the concept behind it, as it makes the transition for traditional QWERTY BlackBerry users to an all-touch-screen phone easier. However, it takes some acclimation and similar to the SureType keyboards, we think it's something you'll either learn to like or hate.

The display itself measures 3.2 inches diagonally and has a half-VGA resolution (480x360). The glass capacitive touch screen also features a built-in accelerometer and a proximity sensor (RIM calls it face detection) so the screen will turn off when you're on a phone call to prevent accidental mispresses. Along the top edge of the Storm 2 is a power/lock button and...
...

I am not to excited about my Storm I actually have it for about ten months and most of the time I hate it. It freezes all the time, Verizon told me I need to take the battery out daily to reset it to keep this from happening. Which is a big pain in the butt. The maps are not updated for my area which is a big down fall in my eyes. The camera is way to slow for my liking I have two children I am always using my cell phone camera. The screen usually takes a few seconds to catch up. This is my first blackberry so I can't compare it to other models but I am not happy with this one at all. My Fiance actually had one also and had the same problems he ended up getting a plain jane phone a fe weeks ago. I do like the fact I can get and check my email easily on the go but thats about it. There are some days I like it but most wish I would have gotten something else. I am actually going to be getting an eNvy 3 to replace my Storm tomarow.
...

I got this phone a couple of weeks ago, there are a few things that I haven't figured out but overall its alright. I am used to having a rzr so it was quiet a switch. I like being able to do things on this one that I couldn't do on my old phone. It has froze up on me a couple of times and the only way I could fix it was to turn it off and start all over again. The battery is the worst feature. It just don't stay charged like it should. Even when on standby it goes down too fast. If you like touch screen phones though, I guess its overall alright. This is my first smart phone so I don't have a lot to compare it to.
...

Phone is very easy to use. Has great screen that you can get good definition on. The photos are marvelous, it doesn't matter if you are taking a pic at night or not with the flash. Very good pixels for photos and screen. Battery life is long lasting, and easily recharged. Using the browser is easy and convient, little wait for it to pull up on the screen. Texting and sending messages is easy and convient. like how the key board lights up with the heat of your finger before you push so you can tell whick key you are about to push before you make a mistake. Speakers are good and you get a nice quaility sound when you are playing music or a video. Haven't learned all the features yet, but with each application, it is easy and fun to play with. Would recommend this phone to any of my friends.
...

Just wanted to start out by saying that I am not the most tech saavy woman. I have had the Blackberry storm for about about nine months and to be honest I am still getting used to it.

I love certain aspects of it such as the big screen which is 3.25", the hi resolution screen (meaning the images on the screen are great), the camera takes pretty good pictures and the flash can help you find a needle in the dark. Also, I love the internet browsing and GPS.

The following are things that I dislike about the phone:

It took me a while to to the texting and to be honest I still haven't gotten used to it comepletely. The phone also tends to freeze up alot and you have to reboot it by taking the battery out and then putting it back in. Sometimes it can be slow and you have to reboot again. I also dislike that there's no Wi-Fi. Another thing that I dislike is that the screen on the speaker came off...I have no idea how this happened. Also, as for me I had to buy a car charger because otherwise...
...

I have had my new Blackberry Storm for two weeks now and can honestly say that I love it. At first I was a little overwhelmed, but everyday I learned a little more about it. The keypad and the size of the phone threw me for a couple of days, but now all is good. I just had to get used to it. I love how fast the internet is on it and the apps are so nice. I do wish the manual had more in it and I don't like the fact that some of the apps are not free and could cause somone to run up a big bill. There needs to be more information with the phone on which ones are free and which are not. I found out a lot of informaton by going to you tube and e-how.

I have been a Blackberry user for a while now and I must say that they never let me down. With all they hype about the I Phone I decided to check out Blackberry's Storm. It's their touch screen version. It is great. I had not read very good reviews about it but since my Verizon store had a try it policy I thought I would take advantage. I love the phone. It took me only a day to get used to the touch screen. At first I didn't think I was going to like it but after a few hours of playing around on it and getting used to the feel of the "buttons" it was easy. The cons of the phone are that sometimes you have to give it a hard reset. It can seem to get tied up in "internet land" and stop loading. The battery only lasts one day but I use my phone so much that it's just part of it. It's very reliable and i'm able to do so much with it. Everyone I know was jumping ship to get the I PHone but I wasn't going to leave Verizon. They have the best coverage hands down. Blackberry's are more stable...
...

Here is the review for one and easy to use the Storm. It is easy and user friendly for internet searches and Maps and texting. First the design is sleek. Fits in the palm of my hand. It had many features , Apps and Ringtones, touch screen is better then LG. It work with only Verizon Network. I wish this phone ( storm) should be available for all network. its competitors is Apple Iphone and LG GR500 ( good feature to have QWERTY Keyboard). Consumer could get confuse with Blackberry Storm. Display on the Phone is easy and convinient to see and read the text. Lots of protected guards available for the phone. Colours is the only draw back of the phone but black is beautiful. If you texting king then insurance on the phone is essential helps on long run. Memmory help and ringtones are ample for the phone that is called STORM. Getting the Plastic tip pen that use for old premitive Palm Pilots and many other touch screen phone. Very Helpful. Great cellphone to own....
...
