This has been my best experience with a phone. Living in Texas and having a wonderful Hurricane, I was able to get all needed information without electricity. I was able to get my news updates and charge my phone in the car. I stayed in my parents apartment to make sure that my friends and family's places where OK. This is was my first data phone with messaging and text. It has been wonderful to delete my junk e-mail before I go home and to keep informed in an emergency. The GPS and Yellowbook offering's are great as well as it it is easy to transfer files back and forth. The other great benefit is the ability to be resourceful when you need the web without the computer. I highly recommend this phone or any Blackberry. The weakness is only storage space when you can get an Iphone with 8gb or more. I will more than likely upgrade to another Blackberry. Its and excellent product and you can keep your daily life organized with a very good address book and calendar. I also utilize the alarm...
...

I purchased the Blackberry Curve for the nice look. I got mine in a deep red color which I am in love with. However I was annoyed it could only take about one or two pics and after that I needed to buy an extra memory card. I wished they would have told us that when we purchased this phone but anything to make a sale right....The extra memory doesn't cost much and I purchased mine for 20 something dollars from Best Buy. It is a little chip that goes in the back of the phone where the battery is. This does get you on the internet however and I love checking my E-bay and facebook pages on it. This phone is on the Edge network so it is slower then the 3G phone when you are trying to get on the internet. For the 3G network you would be better off getting the blackberry bold as this is faster for an internet connection. However if you are not a fan of the internet this would be a great and perfect match. Also you have to remember to fix your e-mail account so you do not get constant...
...

iluvryno says "Not the fastest, but a fantastic gadget!" about Blackberry - Curve 8310 Cell Phone

The Blackberry 8300 Curve is a great little gadget. Before we get started...it is NOT an iPhone. I doesn't support thousands of apps....and it's not the best internet browser around. BUT, it works wonderfully with business style email systems (ie. Lotus Notes and Microsoft Outlook) and has a simple sync function.

Best feature has to be the Qwerty keyboard. This means a 'full' keyboard...not these silly type ahead, multiple letter per button keyboards. The size of the keys fits perfectly with the size of my hands (small and female) such that I can easily type a multiple paragraph email quickly, without error and without thumb strain.

The internet capability isn't bad, but the Blackberry isn't quick to load nor does it produce sharp graphics. It's pretty basic at best. One major plus is that it supports Google Maps making navigation simple.

This product comes with a camera too that will take decent pics. It has two zoom settings that allow for a pretty good pic from up...
...

For texting, email, and organization, the blackberry curve has more

syncronization, was challenging at first but after using a couple

gfowler says "Great phone/email/texting device" about Blackberry - Curve 8310 Cell Phone

If your primary usage of a smartphone is email, texting, and talking on the phone, then the BlackBerry platform is still probably the best solution out there. And in the BlackBerry family, the Curve is still possibly the best device delivered by RIM. The Storm and other newer devices are more glitzy, but for no-nonse texting and email, the Curve is still the easiest to use.

Curve users quickly learn the excellent keyboard and can text and email in lightning quick fashion. Typing a 500 character email on a Curve doesn't take experienced users much longer than it would if they had a full keyboard. If you try doing the same thing on an iPhone or most Windows Mobile devices, it would take you much, much longer.

If Internet browsing, 3rd party applications, music and video is as important to you as texting and email, then the iPhone or G1/Android is a better choice in my opinion. But if you really are just a texter and emailer - this is still the top dog.
...

My Blackberry curve 8310 is hands down the best phone i have owned yet. This phone has everything and is easy to use. It is also very dependable i have abused this phone so many times. It has been dropped, dropped in water, left in a snow bank, dropped again, and dropped some more. no matter what happens to this phone it still works. The best thing about the phone is its camera i think. the camera takes great pictures very clear. the texting is fast and easy with the full keyboard. no T9 thank god. it also has a great MP3 player and the speaker is a lot louder than you would think for a phone. It has a real headphone jack right on the side of it not a mini jack so any set of headphones will do.it holds a mini SD card for extra storage of data, pictures, and or music if your like me.right now i have over 100 contacts,400 songs, and close to 1,000 pictures and it is still just as fast as the day i got it. I love this phone. the Blackberry curve 8310 is a great phone and i would tell everyone......

The BB Curve 8310 is the best phone I have ever owned. I have been a cell phone user for more than 12 years. I have used many brands and styles of cell phones, Flip, Windows based,& Palm Based. My BB is my connection to the world through e-mail, sms and mms messaging, blackberry messaging, and aim. I am amazed at how easy it is to use and understand the BB. I like the customization i can do to my BB, ie... Themes, Ringtones, Picture ID and more. I would recommend it to even an enemy or stranger. I have gotten 5 other people to purchase BB's within the last few months. I LOVE MY BB....

I am technically challenged, but find this phone very easy to use. I purchased this for myself and the LG shine for my mom. This was so much easier to set up and get going then the shine. It has features that I don't use, but I guess that's what makes it great - it can be used by the technically savy as well as those of us who aren't. The reception is great and it seems to hold a charge forever ( sometimes I forget to charge for days at a time). I would highly recommend it....

The messaging capabilities is impressive on this sleek smartphone. There is also a 2-megapixel camera and ofcourse with Bluetooth. The bad ( or the worst part is) camera lacks video recording. In all, the Curve offers an curvier design and good messaging capabilities, the addition of GPS makes the RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310 echo to the by-passers "My CURVE sexier that your curve"....
