It leaks, does not heat, digital lights do not work and no steam after just 13 months of use. I only iron for myself which is moderate usage and have been ironing for 35 years. The one year warranty is just what is means....one year of use! Black and Decker Digital Advantage is a loser!

I have been through countless irons. I finally concluded that I needed a heavy iron that did not have a teflon coating.

The Black and Decker Digital advantage has served me well for over 4 years now - that's a record for me. It does not have teflon on the plate. I'm wondering now what purpose the teflon serves other than to flake off on my clothes.

The B&D has automatic turn off which is great for me because I frequently get distracted - it beeps to let you know it is turning off - a nice reminder to go finish up what I was doing. It also beeps to let you know when your temperature setting has been reached.

It weighs about 4 pounds which is heavy enough to cut down on having to press so hard to get the wrinkles out of clothes.

I don't use the steam feature - I spray the clothes then iron them.

The price at amazon right now is under $35. The Rowenta I was looking at runs about $75. The features on the B&D are comparable to the...

After some research I purchased this iron after going through several other "disposable" kinds. This one has great steam and heat control, easy to fill although distilled water is recommended. The auto off feature has proven to be helpful if you are multitasking and forget to unplug your iron.

The Black and Decker Digital Advantage iron works wonders on my clothes that need to be pressed. I don't typically spend much on something like this and I think the iron before this one was a no-name and cost around $10 but it never quite got the wrinkles pressed out. A friend had this one and after using it we rushed to the store to buy it. It is a little pricey but I feel that it is worth every penny. The multiple temp settings are great as you can adjust them for anything from Acrylic to Linen. There is a clean setting, and multiple steam settings,
