I have enjoy using my black &decker 12-cup programmable coffeemaker. Its my best friend in the morning. I had mind for over a year now. Still work great. Easy to use and clean.

The B&D DLX 1050W seems to be fine at making coffee. Set the clock, decide when you want the coffee maker to start, and as long as you don't vary too much in your schedule, the machine will boil the water and send it through the grounds. The digital clock isn't real accurate, but as long as we have to reset clocks every 6 months anyway, it will do the job.

The problem started when the bottom of the pot broke and I had to chose between fix or replace. Couldn't easily find a replacement at the (WalMart) store. Also, the ones they sold were half the cost of the whole unit. Is the unit that inexpensive? I bought the unit about 7 months ago. Are they upgrading them that fast? I have to bet that B&D is losing money by not realizing that the pots arewhat break quickest and even for a coffee maker of this level there is a need for replacements.

WE BOUGHT THIS BLACK AND DECKER 12 CUP PROGRAMMABLE COFFEEMAKER MODEL DLX1050W IN THE LAST OF NOVEMBER '08
TODAY JAN 17 'O9 MY MOTHER IN LAW WENT TO PICK THE POT UP TO POUR HER A CUP AND THE BOTTOM OF THE POT BROKE INTO AND FELL ONTO THE COUNTER SPILLING ALMOST A HALF POT OF HOT COFFEE ALL OVER THE COUNTER, ON HER AND EVERYWHERE NEAR.
THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECE FOR SAFETY AND THE MANUFACTURERS DESIGNED THE GLASS SO THIN THAT IT BREAKS IN YOUR HANDS! OURS ALSO WOULD DRIP DOWN THE POT WHEN YOU POURED A CUP.
THANK GOD NO ONE WAS HURT, EXCEPT HER FEELINGS THAT IT HAPPENED TO HER.
I HAD TO RIG THE SNEAK A CUP FIXTURE AND USE MY OLD 12CUP POT FROM MR COFFEE....

If you have known me for some time, you know two things about me. 1. I'm not a morning person. 2. I drink several cups of coffee throughout the day and if I don't get my coffee--I'm not a happy person!

Now that we have moved to Mississippi and have at least an hour drive into work each day, I not only have to get up at 5 am, but I need coffee to sip on during our drive into Louisiana for work. We have had some unusually cold weather here for this time of the year and I am finding myself having to adjust to a lot of things at once. This past weekend, I decided that I was giving up the beloved drip coffeepot and bought a new Black & Decker 12 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker. Now all I have to do is get out of bed and head to the kitchen and pour my first cup of coffee. Now that's convenience!

WOW!! I've never had a coffee maker that actually makes the coffee for me! This is a brand new luxury for me and I am loving it!

My old coffee maker finally died. It was just a very basic coffee maker that did nothing special. So, to replace it, I went shopping looking for one that wouldn't cost me over $ 20.00. Well.......the price of these things have come waaaaaayyyy down since I shopped last! I got myself a Black & Decker 12-cup programable coffee maker! I could not believe the price was only $ 18.00! That is an awesome deal.

When I got the coffee maker home, I thought it may be a little hard to figure out. There were several buttons on the front and I was expecting something complicated. Nope! It was very simple to set up. Just set the time of day (yes, there is a digital clock too), hit one button to program the time that I want the coffee to brew, and that was it. I was through in less than a minute.

Black & Decker's coffee maker looks great on my counter. ...
