I used this for about 2 years until I wore it out and parts started breaking. Unfortunately I'd gotten it cheap when it was discontinued and to replace with the newer model it will be about $60. I therefore tried to save money and bought the Melitta One:One that was also a $50 machine on clearance at Big Lots for $12. I wish I'd gone for the full priced Home Cafe.

Home Cafe you just fill and press the button. It heats up and makes the coffee while you go about your morning routines. It pressed the coffee through like a French coffee press and came out full-flavored. It makes small cups so you sometimes need to press twice, but I found you could do that with the same pod and still have a good cup.

I'm now hoping for my Melitta to wear out quickly so I can justify buying another Home Cafe.
...

I actually have TWO of these. I had one, but lost the mug. That's when I found out that the only travel mug that will fit is the one that came with the pot. (there was actually one that would work, but it was 42$) So, off I went, and bought a second pot - 18$ for a new pot (and mug!) seemed like a better option, and on the off chance that the maker ever dies, I have a spare.

Makes great coffee - not at all what you'd expect from a single cup coffee maker.
...
