We have boys running in and out of our house all the time. The family room is the only room downstairs with carpet and they run right in the back door onto the carpet. I can get any mud, grass stain or other awful stain off the carpet with this cleaner. I clean the entire house every three months or more and it makes our carpet upstairs look brand new....

My review today is to say about the bissell products are very outstanding. Most of my products such as vacuums, steam cleaners around my household are bissell products. I would not take any other brand by far. I get quality, and good performance from bissell. Especially those that have canisters are very convenient. You don't have to worry about buying bags. And picks up dirt deep down and embedded. I love bissell products! ...

We have owned tons of steam cleaners and this has been the best one so far. It cleans and vacuums the best. The ONLY probably with this is that the tank keeps leaking and breaking! It makes a huge mess and water leaks everywhere! Which is also probably a safety hazard with the electrical cord and everything. They don't cover the tank under warranty, so you have to buy a replacement tank, shipping etc. Then when you get it it works for a few months and then once again, the seal breaks too and it begins to leak making the vacuum worthless for anything besides sucking water up from carpet....

    The Bissell PowerSteamer Deep Cleaner Plum Upright Vacuum actually works; and works really well. The price (under $300.) for this PowerSteamer Vacuum is relatively small when compared with the costs of having a professional company do the same work.

    The Bissell PowerSteamer Deep Cleaner Vacuum is very easy to assemble. The instruction booklet it comes with contains easy to understand instructions and easy to follow diagrams and pictures.

    Probably what makes this PowerSteamer Deep Cleaner better than its competitors, is that is uses a very small amount of water. As a result, your carpet is not left over-saturated with water which takes a tremendous amount of time to properly dry. There is a canister attached to the unit that is filled with hot water prior to operation. A smaller canister, also attached to the unit, is filled with carpet cleaner. The operator of the unit controls the amount of detergent and hot water sprayed onto the carpet.

I expected more from the Bissell Power Shampooer. It was too heavey to move easily and sprayed irratically, not making an even path. I returned the machine immediately....

We purchased this item 3 years ago and have been so thankful to have it since we have a dog and a cat. It is so easy to clean up any messes they make. Or after my nephew's 3 year old twins visit, it comes in handy.
My only problem is the weight. It needs to be kept in a place where I don't have to pick it up or carry.

this product is a wonderful machine. it is easy to use, it cleans amazing well and as far as steaming carpets it is great. It removes deep down stains from pets, sodas, and it leavs a clean smell . I reccomend this product for all who do not want to spend alot of money renting machines from the grocery store or paying alot to have them cleaned....

This carpet cleaner really is worth the dollars spent when you see the results! It even worked great on high traffic areas. The only downside I can think of is it's really noisy, but really, it's alot better than having strangers come in to install ew carpets....

We went through two of these wimpy things in just one year, and we found out that pet hair VOIDS the warranty, so if you are getting one to clean up after pet messes, buy a "Royal" Carpet Extractor - costs a bit more but will save you in the long run.
