bamakam says "For big or small messes, the Little Green Machine is Powerful!" about Bissell Little Green Machine Vacuum

I received my Little Green Machine several years ago and have used it for a huge variety of messes. I don't really have the space to store a large wet/dry vacuum, so this was a great alternative for me to use in my home. And, it was super affordable, too!

This is an awesome tool for spot cleaning! I tend to have a lot of random spots show up on my carpet from my dog (muddy paws, stains from rawhide chews and treats, etc). I keep my Little Green Machine always on hand & it does such a great job with cleanups. The larger messes take a bit more time & scrubbing to clean up, but the smaller ones are taken care of it mere minutes. After just one use, you'll get a pretty good idea of just how dirty your carpet is, too! The repository for the water can get dirty pretty quickly.

The only thing that I wish my Little Green Machine had was an additional attachment that had a wider brush head to use on those larger messes. Other than that, it's fantastic!

This is by far the best little carpet cleaning machine around! I use it to clean my stairs, the covering on my couches, and most importantly of all, the "little" messes my dog occasionally leaves me. It saves me the hassle of dragging out my oversized carpet cleaner. The model I bought does not include a water heater but I just put in hot water prior to using it. The water & cleaning fluid is mixed together and if by chance you don't use it all at one time, it's ok to leave it sitting inside that unit. The only problem with this is that the next time you go to use it, the water will not be hot...minor issue in my opinion. The water that is sucked up is deposited into a small container on the side of the unit...be careful...while I was trying to figure out how to empty the dirty water, I preceeded to dump it all over me....you pour it out through the top of the container. It is money well spent....trust me!
...

MrsMessiness says "Great for Cleaning, but you can't clean IT." about Bissell Little Green Machine Vacuum

As far as cleaning floors, the Bissell Little Green Machine Vacuum is a great tool to have around the house. It is light weight, easy to handle and very useful. I like to keep it loaded with cleaner and water so I can grab it any time I need to do a quick clean-up. With a large dog and five kids (one under six months old), this happens often. I love the long hose and the two attachments; these features make the vacuum very user-friendly. I also like the sprayer on the hose, as I have noticed that many of the spray mechanisms on hand-held carpen shampooers do not spray with enough force for my liking; this one does.

The downfall of the Bissell Little Green Machine Vacuum is that there is no way to get inside of the container that holds the dirty water for cleaning. There is not an opening wide enough to even get a skinny brush inside of it to clean it out, and because there are so many different part inside of it and it is the receptacle that all the 'used' water is held, it is in desparate...
...

notnegative says "It cleaned out the dog smell and coffee stains in my car!" about Bissell Little Green Machine Vacuum

I bought this because it was cheaper than going to a carwash and I could re-use it. I bought a used truck that was used as a "work truck" so it was rarely cleaned. Also, the previous owner had a dog so it smelled like one. Rather than pay 200 bucks for a one time clean, I figured I'd do it myself and end up owning something. The Little Green is easy to use; fill up container with solution and add water. It came with a Turbo Brush that scubbed out coffee stains on carpet and floors. The Tough Stain brush works good for tighter spots. Last I went over the soiled floor mats and they look almost brand new! Good bang for your buck if you don't mind some hard work for a few hours....

jannagrayjet says "Bissell Little Green did not meet my expectations." about Bissell Little Green Machine Vacuum

I bought the Bissell Little Green Pro Heat TurboBrush for Pets last night after I dumped a whole plate of spaghetti on my beloved sofa and not so beloved carpet. (I have a cat, a puppy, and a geriatric dog and figured this model would serve me well for future pet accidents).
My sofa is red and my crummy carpet is dark green, so I can't truthfully say whether it pulled the stains out or not. I do know that I can no longer see where the spill spot was on either the sofa or the floor. My main concern was sucking all of that wet mess out of the carpet, which it failed to do. There was maybe a couple of tablespoons of moisture (very dirty, mind you) in the dirty collection tank, and the spot was still very damp when I was finally tired of going over the spot with the vacuum hose over and over (as the instruction booklet suggests under "troubleshooting: poor suction") I even removed the brush attachment and pressed the open end of the hose against my hand and there was barely a pull. ......

We have 5 dogs and the LIttle Green Machine works like a charm. It cleans up urine, vomit, and dirty muddy paw prints. It is useful for spot cleaning. You need to be careful though because the cleaning fluid is very good and you can tell afterward where you haven't cleaned.

This is EXTREMELY durable. Did I mention that we have 5 dogs. This machine has gotten us through the puppy stage of 2 of our dogs... you know the stage where you are trying to house-train them and they leave several gifts throughout the day?!

The downside to this is that it is a bit awkward carrying it, and you need to have a place to put it after you use it so that the parts will dry unassembled. THere also isn't a way to brush clean the inside of the dirty canister, so after many many uses, it gets a little grimy. Also, if you don't use a regular vacuum first, you end up with lots of hair balls that either need to be cleaned off the brush while you are using it or they get inside the system to be...
...

zilla1255 says "Works well on small areas & upholstery." about Bissell Little Green Machine Vacuum

I compared the Little Green Machine with the SpotBot and went for the Little Green Machine. I have found that the biggest difference between the two is that the SpotBot works without a human's help. Having said that, so far, I'm pleased with my Little Green Machine. I have cats and one is very old and has "accidents". Even if I don't catch the mess right away, and most times I don't, what with working and all, the Little Green Machine still gets out the stains and the smells. I will warn you, though, the cost of the cleaning solution is a bit expensive, but it does do a very good job. There is a small bottle of cleaning solution that comes with The Green Machine, but once that is gone, and it depends on how often you have to use it on how long it lasts, replacement solution running in the $15 to $20 range. Still, even with that expense, it does the job for which I purchased it. Next is trying it in the kitchen on the grease build up around the stove......
