Jetsetter says "The only vacuum/steam cleaner that I would use!" about Bissell Big Green Clean Machine

My brother suffered severe allergies as a child so my mother got the Bissell Big Green Clean Machine.

I've grown up on it & seen first hand what a great product it is. We washed our matresses to get rid of dust mites with it, vacuumed the carpets, washed the curtains & even washed the carpets. I remember the clean smell in the house after we used it.

What's really great about this product, is that it captures the durt & dust in the water, whereas conventional vacuum cleaners blow the dust & durt back into the air.

My mom has since gotten the hand-held steam cleaner which is great for cleaning bathrooms & kitchens. Now that I'm a young homeowner & starting my own household, I will not use any other product other than the Bissell range.
...

LMWestwind says "Couldn't live without it!" about Bissell Big Green Clean Machine

I couldn't live without this steam cleaner. I have used this for about a year now on just about everything. We have cleaned our Berber & plush carpets. We have cleaned the furniture and the hardwood & tile floors and have even used it to steam clean our vehicles upholstery and carpeting. It does as good a job or better than the expensive rental units that I tried in the past. We also have 2 dogs & 2 cats and a couple of kids running around making messes and I haven't found anything this Bissel couldn't handle.

There are attachments for anything you could think of from doing your windows to hard floor surfaces. There isn't a better cleaner on the market. I have tried the Bissell upright (which was also very good & lasted about 3 years) and the Hoover upright(junk), but this canister is just too versatile to ever go back to an upright! If you get one of these, you will not be dissapointed.
...

pretty-things-111 says "I love it!" about Bissell Big Green Clean Machine

I purchased a Big Green Clean Machine in 1994, at which time we had 3 older cats. We were renting a condo at the time, and two years later we moved to our new home. I have used the machine for total house vacuuming, as well as for periodic carpet cleaning using the steam cleaner with Bissell carpet shampoo. I have never had any kind of problem with it and would highly recommend it to anyone. Another reviewer stated that the plastic becomes brittle due to the hot water, but I have used a combination of hot tap water and boiling water (about half each) in my machine and have no complaints over a 13-year period. Two years ago we changed out the carpeting in our house for hardwood flooring, but the Big Green Clean Machine is still the best vacuum I've ever used....

kid-kansas says "The Big Green Leaking Machine!!" about Bissell Big Green Clean Machine

I bought this a few years back because I didn't want to have to rent a shampoo machine every time the dog had an accident or one of the kids tracked in mud on the carpet.

Quick and Easy

This little machine is perfect for the spot cleaning we all encounter from time to time, either from pets or children. It is light weight and easy to store in a closet, sets up quick and cleans the spots up very nice. Either carpet, area rugs or furniture it works great on all of them. Using it a few times easily saved me money from renting a shampoo machine and I thought I had finally gotten ahead of the game. I could even shampoo the entire house in less than four hours and felt it was just as good as those rental machines.

It is powerful enough to get most of the water back out of the carpet so drying times are very reasonable. The Big Green Clean Machine comes with a 1 year warranty and I felt that was reasonable. After all if something is going to mess up 1 year is a good term to weed out any problems,......
