We have three cats and two dogs and I could not possibly keep my house smelling fresh and clean without my Bissell ProHeat 2X carpet cleaner. I keep most of the mess in the laundry room (except the occasional hariball) and I shampoo the carpet in that room every other week. It is easy to fill & use. You just fill the shampoo tank and the water tank and you are set to go. We do have to unclog the nozzle once in a while but if we vaccuum often that doesn't happen often. Use only the cleaners that are recommended though. I tried a different one once and I had to unclog the whole machine.

After much research I bit the bullet and bought the Bissell Proheat Clean Shot 9500. Having 2 German Shepherds in the house was going to put the Bissell to the test. I give it 2 thumbs up. I was afraid it would leave dirty water behind and wet carpets. Not so. I don't think the blowers on each side are all that great, but the suction sure is. Within 2 hours time, I could walk on the plush carpet. Easy to change the water and I like the seperate tanks for the formula and water. I like the fact that it heats the water up and keeps it hot. I have loaned it out and all think it's great. I have even considered renting it to friends and family. Better yet, I would do the cleaning myself as I enjoy it that much. I had our carpets professionally cleaned 2 years ago at the rate of $360.00. For that money I bought the Bissell ProHeat and can do it myself, plus I can do it more often.

I got sick of paying all that money to have a professional come clean my carpets, so I broke down and got this Bissell 9500 Proheat 2X at Sears. I used the heavy wash to do the whole house because they haven't been done in a few months. I thought there was a chemical reaction--the water came out so black. It got up so many spots. My cat coincidentally got sick all over the carpet and this cleaned it up with no problem! I highly recommend, and plan to do this once every two months or even more! I have never used Bissel before and am very happy with the brand so far.

I love this Steam Cleaner. It got my carpets super clean. It even got out spots that the professional guys didn't! Love that it has a water rinse function as well. It has a bunch of great tools, including the handtool that has the rotating brushes on it as well--great for stairs and upholstery.
There are only a few cons:
-On the high traffic setting, it uses a lot of cleaning solution. So I used that setting sparingly.
-It says it works on hard floors, and it does. But I was hoping that w/ the water heating function it would really get my grout very clean, but I think my Hoover Floormate does just as good of a job. Plus, the hard floor cleaner is impossible to find.
-A lot of people complain that the water tank is a bit small, and I would agree w/ that. But it doesn't really bother me.

Definitely worth the money!
