I've had this unit for quite a while now and have made good use of it. I have more than a few cats that periodically throw up and this works great for those small spots. If you have a larger area that you'd like to cleanup, the spot remover tank is rather small and will need to be refilled. Overall I'm very satisifed with the product and would recommend if your needs fit the size.

I found this unit to be good at cleaning the mess. I think that the cleaning solution is used up pretty quickly. I buy it in the half gallon size now so I always have it on hand....

I bought the spotlifter to clean up after my puppy's accidents and thought it would be a lot easier to use than the large bissel carpet cleaner I have already. Well, it is very handy, lightweight and easy to use. However, it is not powerful enough to suck up spills, pee, etc. and the spray nozzle pumps a very fine mist that is not effective until you have pumped for ages. Stains remain on the carpet even after using the spot lifter several times. Usually I have to use the large carpet cleaner anyhow after awhile to get the carpet looking clean again. It isn't worth having in my opinion.

I need a carpet cleaner and didn't want to spend a bunch of money on one. I was shocked by how well this little one worked. Excellent power and cleaning ability, Wasn't sure it would work very well, definitely surprised. Easy to clean up. Handy for small stains. Didn't want something really bulky, this was perfect. Wouldn't change anything about it and I only spent $40 on it. In fact, I recommended it to my mom and she bought one too. She's thrilled with hers....

I have a light colored carpet and with four of us in the house and multiple pets, stains appear often on the rug. I used to pull out the big rug cleaner but it was such a hassle for one spot that I would end up trying to clean it up on my hands and knees. I finally got sick of it and purchased the Bissell 1715-G Spot lifter Bagless Handheld Vacuum for $39.99. It is not the the greatest product out there but is effective for the occasional spot here and there.

My Experience

This spot lifter is very easy to use comes with a starter bottle of formula. There is a standard brush attached that helps loosen the stain. For the first few minutes, it does a decent job of cleaning up a fresh small stain. Bissell doesn't try to claim that it is for more than just that. They state that the Spot Lifter was designed to pick up spots and spills as they occur. They tell you upfront that when it is fully charged your Spot...
