When my husband asked me what I wanted for Mother's day this year, I had an answer. I wanted a carpet cleaner. I REALLY wanted a carpet cleaner. With two large dogs and a toddler my home never feels clean enough...Ok, who am I kidding, it never IS clean enough. We looked at the selection in Walmart, knowing I'd find what I was looking for, When we comapred models the Bissel ProHeat had just what I needed without being too hard to figure out. It was $160 there but we found it at Big Lots for $99. Anyways...We got home and got it all ready to use. You have to wait a few minutes for the water to heat up, which bugged me...I was r-e-a-d-y to get my carpet spotless. I vaccumed while I waited, hopeing it would be worth it.

Was it? you ask...YES! The 12 inch wide cleaning path and easy to hadle design allowed to to clean my 13 x 19 living room and a large area rug in less than 20 minutes.

The carpet was clean in once round and it got up all of the spots!

If you are looking for a rug steamer please be sure and check out the Bissell power steamer .Not only is is the best value for the money its also well built and dependable .

when I first saw the Bissell my first reaction was This is going to be to heavy for me I'm 5 foot tall and am about 109 lbs so Big heavy units make me feel that I will not be able to maneuver them around . I actually was about to buy a smaller unit but my husband said no get the big one it looks better made so I thought I would give it a try . I'm so Glad I did the bissell looks big but its not at all hard for me to use . It cleans the carpets very well and the carpets dry quickly.

I really needed a carpet cleaner I have 1 long haired big dog and one long haired cat my wall to wall carpet is lite tan .We have had so many people coming to visit over the passed 6 months my carpets were looking shabby , After using this once my carpets are back to normal and really soft under bare feet , This actually surprised me ,clean...

The Bottom Line: This is one hard working Bissell. I have had 3 carpet cleaners that leaked or hardly touched the dirt. Bissell's brushes do get the grime out.

My husband saw an ad for this Bissell the day after he bought me a PowerSteamer Pro at Wal-Mart's grand opening at Steelyard Commons for $139. I thought it was a bargain.
Then we see an ad at Big Lots for $80. I was at the store outside the door 30 minutes before they unlocked it. Turns out they have 1 - only 1, so I was allowed in to get it. But it had to be 10:00AM to ring it up, so I sat on it until 10AM. Then a great gentleman put it in the back of my Tucson to take home.

But do not throw anything out. Put the handle on it, unwrapped the cord & the hose. Found the box with the cleaning tool for upholstery & car and snapped that to the end of the hose which it then clips onto the holder on the back of the unit with the hose wrapped along the sides. The cord wraps on the side & can easily slide off when you turn the top holder...
