I love the biotene mouth rinse, I have a dry mouth from fibromyalgia and several meds I take. When I use the mouth rinse with the toothpaste, it makes a big difference in the health of my mouth. It keeps me from getting sores in my mouth.

If you're one of the "tender flowers" who has burned the heck out of your mouth with alcohol-intensive mouthwashes, then try Biotene' for some moderate dry-mouth relief and a good, painless swish of your gums.
With this mouthwash, you can actually make all those facial contortions and move the clear non-alcoholic fluid around your mouth for 30 seconds. The addition of calcium and healthy enzymes couldn't hurt either.
My dental hygienist cringed at the condition of my gums on our last visit. Now the bleeding has stopped and the redness receded. While I'm not convinced by Biotene's companion tooth paste (check out my grumpy review on that one if you wish), I am convinced that Biotene's mouthwash works in my favor.
Ah, good... I no longer need to waste time in the mouthwash department.

I have to disagree with the former writer about the taste of this product. I have had dry mouth for years due to medication I take. I have tried all sorts of pastes, mouthwashes and gels but I have never been able to get past the taste. I recently had my first dental problem (I'm 48) and I am not wanting to go through that again so I looked for something that would keep my mouth from being dry at night and in the mornings and tried this product. I am reall impressed. It works well even with a bitegaurd and c-pap machine. I highly recommend this product....

To the Point

I reviewed Oasis, a mouthwash for dry mouth. Biotene was the very first product I used and it is the most well known. Oasis is a newer product. After I wrote this review it became clear that I will continue with Biotene.

A Closer View

As baby boomers age there are more products for dry mouth. Age is just one reason for dry mouth. Your dry mouth could be caused by medication you are on or an illness so please see a doctor if your dry mouth persists.

As I said I started with Biotene Mouthwash which the 16-ounce plastic bottle says it is the number one dentist recommended brand for dry mouth. This is true however as far as I know Laclede, Incorporated, makers of Biotene was the first company to market a whole host of products for dry mouth. Their mouth wash is just one of them.

Biotene claims (from the bottle) to have calcium; to have bio-active enzyme protection and to be alcohol free. These four enzymes are said to boost and restore the defense system that's found in saliva. These......
