I thought I would give this product a try since it is about the 1/4 of the price as Frontline. Well, the old saying "you get what you pay for" holds true on this one. I decided to give this a try and the moment I started using it, my dog got a BAD case of the fleas. She now has rashes all of her skin because she is sensitive to the bites, which is now going to cost me even more money taking her to the vet to help heal her skin. Not to mention when I put it on our cat she immediately started foaming at the mouth and they told me that is a normal reaction when I called their poison control. I would stick to the more expensive but trusted brands...there is a reason they cost more.
...

After reading positive reviews from Drs Fosters and Smith website, I thought I would give this product a try. I usually pay much more for flea treatment for my dog. I learned a valuable lesson here, you get what you pay for. Not only did this product drench my dog (so watery and didn't apply as easily as other products I have used) but it didn't work! The fleas were having a party on my poor guy! Don't waste your money!

I went back to Frontline Plus for Dogs, and will never try anything new again! It works great!
...

We put this on our three dogs. Our 1 year old boxer, within 2 hours after administration, had 20 episodes of severe vomiting, 3 episodes of diarrhea, started salivating and was lethargic. We immediately washed product off when we realized what was causing it and did internet research on Bio Spot side effects. Called the company and they gave us a claim number immediately.....why??? We just wanted to know if symptoms were side effects and what to do to help, and they were already giving us a claim number for damages! What damages...were they expecting our dog to die?!?!?! Our vet advised us that our boxer had been poisoned by the medication, and his kidneys and liver had suffered damage. Our cocker spaniel has horrible dry scabs and hair loss everywhere product was placed. As of now, our lab seems fine. This product shouldn't be on shelves......please do research before using this, I wish I had! Not worth saving a few bucks!
...

It seems like here in Florida we constantly have to fight fleas and ticks both in summer and winter, Over the years I have tried many many flee and tick products. I have tried flea shanpoos and flee dips, I have tried flea collers and Flea sprays. I used other brand of spot product that caust lots of money. I needed to find a product that was inexpensive and effective a product the would not harm my pets. Like i said I have tried just about all flea and tick produts and then I found Bio Spot products. Bio Spot had an entire line of pet shampoos, sprays and yard and bed products. WHen I first tried Bio Spot I thought since it didn't cost and are and a leg it would not be good. Once using this product I was amazed at the results. Ihe Bio Spot was great not only did it controle flea and ticks it also has a very plesent smell. I bath my dogs everlky other week and even after a bath the BIO Spot still kept wrking. I was so impressed withthe spot treatment I couldn't wait...
...

What to say first about this really bad product that should be taken off the store shelfs. I had such a bad time with this product. I bought it one day at the pet shop and after I went home I put it on all five of my dogs. I was just trying to save a few bucks since I have so many dogs but I learned my lesson real quickly. All my dogs started itching and scratching. They were so pitiful.

My two maltese dogs turned a yellowish green and started itching so bad they got sores all over there bodies. I called the toll free phone number and they told me to wash all my dogs several times to wash the Bio Spot off and that was some job I just wanted to give up. Well weeks later they where itching and scratching all over and still green. This was such a night mare and after that I never heard from the company. They didnt even send me a refund. I think they owed me a lot more than that let them try giving 10 bathes because of my product I am sure they would have wanted something from me.

Anyway...
...

I went to a well known pet store and asked for assistance with my flea infested dog and low budget, they suggested bio oil flea and tick remover. I thought that maybe they know what they are talking about, however i took it home treated my pug as described on the package and still I did not see any difference. The fleas were still all over . I am sort of a cheap person especially after I spent almost 60 dollars on flea treatments, trying this and that....I finally went for the good stuff....you know what I'm talking about....the stuff that they keep locked behind a cabinet because its 40 plus dollars....I bought front-line and oh my goodness did it work....fleas were basically gone after a week of application. However you do have to keep up with treatments because earlier I noticed a flea on my dog which means that tomorrow I am running to the pet store for her. Overall I am saying skip this product it is so not worth it, It may be good on an off season when fleas are scarce like winter,...
...

My mom fosters cats for a local animal shelter in addition to having a few of her own and, as one might expect, fleas have become a problem. With six foster kittens and flea treatments being so expensive, my mom purchased Bio Spot Flea & Tick Spray for Cats. It indicates it is safe for use on kittens, enough so that the directions say to wrap the kitten with this product on it in a towel for five to ten minutes. The label does say that "sensitivity" may occur. All of the kittens disliked the treatment. One has suffered horribly. This particular kitten was the biggest, healthiest, rowdiest guy out of the batch. He had a great chance for adoption in a shelter that unfortunately does not have a no-kill policy. Two weeks after the use of Bio Spot, a week spent at the shelter for treatment, this poor guy is displaying heart-breaking symptoms of neurological damage. His head shakes uncontrollably and just flops over from time to time, he can't focus, has balance problems, can barely walk, and...
...

We share our home with 3 cats and our girl Abbey. Last year there were no issues with fleas on any of them. So I waited to treat them. It has been a soggy summer and the fleas are having a great time eating our pets. I bought the cats frontline plus as I do every year, but with Abbey I thought I would try the bio spot. I have heard wonderul things from friends and didn't feel the need to seek any advise from our vet or others. What a huge mistake! After applying the medicine I was hopeful it would do the trick and waited a few days. The fleas became more aggressive and persistant about feeding on her. She is now raw in the hind and so sad. I feel horrible about this, how could I have been so stupid? There is nothing more depressing than for an animal lover to see their "child" suffer. I will now seek the adivse from our vet and ask about Comfortis, a recommendation from my mother in law. Price dosen't matter now, I will pay anything to stop Abbey's suffering.
...

Please please please do not use this product (BIO-SPOT). I purchased this product to use on my cat and dog this past Friday. After initial appliction to my 7 yr old Golden Retreiver Sasha she started to act very strange within 2 hours. She would get up scurry across the room and fall to the ground. She kept doing this for the next several hours. At 4:30a Saturday morning I threw her in the shower and scrubbed her with soap and water to get this off of her skin. I was hoping by the time I woke up she would be back to normal. To my disappointment, Sasha was still the same. She would get up and scurry across the room and fall to the ground. I immediatley started to read these reviews and others and was horrified with what i read. I called my vet to explain what I administered and her symptons and the vet wanted me there ASAP. To my horror, Sasha has neurological damage. The poison in this product went right into her blood stream. I am in the process of contacting...
...

I have used bio spot for a few months with great success. Then last week I treated my long haired chihuahua again. About a week after his treatment he just flopped over and started to seize. I picked him up and he was ridgid. His head was lolling around, and eyes were rolling back into his head. He is 81/2 years, and I thought he was having a stroke. I set him back down to call the vet. He lay there thrashing about and then he stood and dragged his back half of his body to the bedroom. I tried to grab him and he acted as if I as going to hurt him. I immediately called my daughter-in-law to take me to the vet. We have just moved here, and was unsure of how to get there. Plus I was freaking out. Well $175 later and he seems alright. Not a stroke but a seizure. Some of his blood work came back a little elevated but it was in the good level. 2 days later I saw a spot on the National News about these over the counter products causing seizures and other adverse reactions. They panned the camera...
...

I even went out and bought the BioSpot flea shampoo (for $16) thinking that the two working together would help. Not a chance. I can say that our dog had no adverse reactions to the medication - no itching or burning, but it simply did not kill any fleas. I will go back to FrontLine.
...
