DonnieDarko says "Big Brother redemption" about Big Brother 8

Like others have said, this wasn't the BEST season of Big Brother (that title still belongs with Big Brother 3). But it certainly made up for that horrible trainwreck excuse for BB that was all-stars. The measure of a good season is if you at least had an opinion on most or all of the HGs. Mike was as dull as a rock, but most of the others you loved or hated. We got to hate Kail for her homophobia and religious babbling, laugh at the stupid things that came out of Jen's mouth, Dicks one-liners. All in all, good season....

awshucks says "Not the best Big Brother season but still good entertainment" about Big Brother 8

I've watched every single Big Brother episode starting from season 1. This wasn't the best season of the 8 (so far) but it was still very good entertainment for the summer. I subscribe to the live feeds and I love being able to see stuff that never makes it to air on TV.

This season had plenty of great characters and personalities - I most definitely had favorites as well as those I loved to hate. I wasn't fond of the America's Player concept where America voted on what the player had to do that week because I felt it was too gimmicky. This is why I much prefer the earlier seasons because there weren't any unnecessary twists - the game was more pure for lack of a better word.

This was still a good season though and as addictive as ever!...

tickles says "Love, Love, Love Dick Donato!" about Big Brother 8

This Season of Big Brother was the best one yet. Due for the most part to Dick Donato.

Dick appeared to have split America straight down the middle...You either loved him or hated him. For my part I loved Dick Donato. Yes, Dick was rude, crude and tattooed. He had the whole aging bad boy rocker thing down pat. And if that had been all there was to Dick then he would have bored me to tears before the first week was over. But Dick Donato had a heart and his goal to improve his relationship with his daughter Daniele was very emotional and heart-warming. Time and time again Dick would deliberately anger the other houseguests in order to take the focus off his daughter. Everyone hated Dick so much in the game that Daniele was given the opportunity to advance.

Don't misunderstand me, Daniele was the best player in the game at the physical challenges, and everytime either Dick or Daniele was on the block they came through in the clutch by wnning either the veto or head of household. ...
...

CyndiA says "Adults stuck in middle school mode - Big Brother 8." about Big Brother 8

I am not a Big Brother fan, but I see parts of it from time to time when I'm really bored and don't want to get locked in with a long show. I can watch BB for five minutes or so and get the main points.

I'm surprised that Big Brother has weathered eight seasons. I don't really see the point. With a show like Survivor, they have to live out in the wild. There's a challenge. In Big Brother, they have the silliest games to determine rewards. The last time I watched, they had to hang unside down on a clock pendulum with whipped cream (I guess) spilling out on them. I think the whipped cream was supposed to be bird droppings.

The theme of the show appears to be tricking others to get to the end and win the money. Well, I guess that's it. Players gang up like in middle school and make little pacts and then turn around and crap on each other. It's kind of sad if you really think about it. That's my problem I guess. I think too much.

Bad behavior makes this show rock I suppose. This year they have...
...
