Bella is a wonderful, deep, pensive and profound movie. You have to be patient with it in the beginning, but as the story unfolds, it becomes a marvel. It's a story of tragedy and dealing with it, of love, and learning the true meaning of it. It's pure innocence and depth beyond measure. If it doesn't make you cry and touch you deep within your soul, then you don't have a soul. It is NOT a "chick movie", as many of my male friends have watched this movie and absolutely loved it. Some people thought it was too pro life, but I didn't view it that way. It wasn't pushy, as the decision was always the woman's, but it showed a side of life and love and of how beauty can come into your life in ways you'd never expect. Sometimes terrible tragedies or mistakes we make in life lead us to a place in life where we can truly appreciate and be open to love and opening our hearts. This movie is touching, nomatter what your political and religious views may be. It is beautiful, pure, simple and complex.......

Netflix lets you download and instantly watch some films, so we looked one night and found Bella. I didn't know anything about it but it turned out to be a good movie with an interesting perspective and a kind romantic heart at its center.

Bella starts a little moodily, with a shot of a creepy-looking guy watching children on a beach. Hmmm... It quickly cuts to a guy who has just landed a big contract with a soccer team, as he heads out the door on the way to a press conference to announce the contract. Then it turns into something that could be called Nina's Bad Day. Nina (Tammy Blanchard) is a waitress who is having a hard time getting to the upscale restaurant where she works in New York City. She tells Manny the boss (Manny Perez) that she isn't feeling well but that excuse can get her through just so many days. Manny fires Nina, but the creepy bearded guy is there and he tries to comfort Nina. Turns out that the bearded guy, Jose (played by Eduardo Verasteagui), is the master chef...

If you want to make God laugh, then tell Him your plans. This line from the movie sums up the plot of the movie. The characters in this film find out how cruel the world can be when life doesn't work out as planned.

The main character has the talent, and is on his way to becoming a famous soccer star. But, all it takes is one moment to change his life forever. Years later, he faces the sorrows of his past by being available to someone else who finds her life also turned upside down.

Most of the film is spoken in English, but there are few easy to follow sub-titles as the film beautifully portrays the Latino family culture. The actors are Eduardo Verástegui, Tammy Blanchard, Manny Perez, and Ali Landry.

This movie is clean enough to be shared as a family film, but it is does deal with deep subjects and the harsh realities many people have to face in life. It is deep and wants the viewer to look at the value of life. Can a movie be both somber and a feel-good flick? Well, yeah. The Writers......

Bella is a wonderful story showing the importance of a strong family and unconditional love. It gave an honest look into the hopelessness of unwanted pregnancy while offering solutions other than abortion.

I "for real" cried for the first time in a long time while watching a movie. It was such an awesome message of hope.

I thought this was a great film for those looking for an alternative message to normal hollywood fare. The film celebrates the value of human life and forgiveness without resorting to simplistic answers or conventional endings. My wife was dissatisfied with the ending because it didn't wrap up all the loose ends neatly, but I found that to be more real....

Finally a movie that leaves me feeling better about life when I leave the theater! If you are tired of the meaningless garbage that comes out of Hollywood, you must see this film. (In addition, the leading actor is easy on the eyes.) A simple story that revolves around an all-to-common moral dilemma in our modern world, "Bella" shows us that life is a gift that is not to be taken for granted....

My husband and I went to this movie on the recommendation of a fellow church member. I can see why, because in my eyes it was pro-life, which I am, but my husband is not. Whoever put this movie together must be an amateur. It was very disjointed and hard to follow, and was unbelievable as far as the lead character in the film. Who picked this guy anyway? He was good looking, but no personality!!!! He was just what they put him in to be-- the LEAD CHARACTER!!!! So, we are to guess what he told his brother. That he was going to raise this woman's child. Then she came back about 7 years later and they all rode off into the sunset and lived happily ever after!! Weird!!! Sorry, but my money could have been spent better somewhere else.

The story behind the movie is almost as interesting as the film itself. It involves the star of the film and how he got into the picture. Apparently he was a soap opera and rock star in Mexico and came to the U.S. to get into American films.

This is not your typical movie fare. It has some real human interest in it and it is very honest about its characters. I don't want to give away the story line, but it is about a social problem that many people face and it is resolved without preaching and in a surprising way. It also had some great scenes with the family which is Hispanic and we get to see a bit of what looks like authentic Hispanic culture.

Although it was a little confusing at first, I loved the way the story line was intercut with past and future. There were a few places that could have been less melodramatic, but it was well-acted on the whole.

It was disappointing that some of our local reviewers called it a "foreign film" which will discourage some people from going to it. There...

This is such a good story and the acting is wonderful. I didn't think that it was possible to think so highly of an actor as I do the main actor in this movie. He really is a special guy. If more people took to heart the story of this movie the world would be a better place....

theproducers of this movie are absolutely heroic...they've rejected pop culture media trash and refuse to produce anything that does not inspire humanity. the movie Bella is completely different from anything I've ever seen and is beautiful in its example of love and sacrifice....

My husband and I went to see bella after I read the lead actor's story online. It was done with a minimal amount of time and money, but feels like quality. It was worth spending the money to see it. It probes the meaning of life, from all sides and sends you on a journey of your own past. We both came out of the theater touched by the love of a child and we appreciated our own decisions made 30 years ago....
