Sometimes in life things don't go right in spite of the best of plans. Most of the time you find out what you bought after you get it and not before.

I purchased a bed after a great deal of research and "pressure" from local sales people. I wanted a good night's sleep. After all the reading, listening, and ignoring! I finally decided to purchase the bed in a box. The order process is smooth and easy.

Somehow my single order became two. When tracking my order the next day I noticed that I had been sent not one but two beds. I was only charged for one. I called the phone number on the website. It was later in the evening and I expected a message telling me they would be open the next day. To my surprise the phone was answered and I explained the reason for the call. I was told that they had already figured that out and they had asked the shipper to turn one of the packages around and make sure mine was on schedule.

I checked again...

When we bought the bed in a box we were skeptical as any people would be, but I had read enough reviews to feel we had a good handle on things and were spending our money properly, not wastefully. I was very happy to find out that upon arrival, it was rathy small and bulky, but weighed a ton. Then as we opened it up it became apparent it was a quality mattress. My wife and I both enjoy the milky smell of latex, but once it was covered over by sheets the scent vanished. It is a very comfortable dunlop. I actually took picutes or the whole thing and posted on <a href="http://www.latexmattressreviews.com/foam-by-mail/2-king-sized-mattress">Latex mattress review</a> and hope this is helpful for others who are considering getting this particular item. lmr

I have wanted a memory foam mattress for so long but those "famous" and expensive brands were not in the budget! I decided to use the internet for alternatives. When i found this company, I saw they had an excellent reputation, a good return policy, were made in the USA, and use material from a brand I know and trust(Dupont I believe). I read many of the reviews and it helped me to take the risk to purchase.

I am COMPLETELY satisfied. In fact more than satisfied. I have had my bed(the PacDown) for about three months and I sleep through the night darn near every night. It is so soft, yet supportive. It's like nothing else! What a difference it makes to sleep well everynight!

I remember some reviews about the "odor" of the material. There was a bit of a new, plastic like odor at first, but I am sensitive to smells and it didn't bother me at all. I opened my bedroom windows just in case (because of the reviews) but it was completely fine.

Also I didn't buy the box spring because mine sits...

I bought the 11" bed-in-a-box mattress (without the fancy cover) in July 2009. It has only been 6 weeks, but I have to say it has been a very good exerience for me. After suffering for three years with a $3,000+ Stearns and Foster "The Plaza" king that sagged so much and hurt my back, I am finally sleeping through the night. Last night I slept for 11 straight hours and didn't even wake up once! I slept until 1:00 this afternoon (we had some friends over late)! I like this new foam mattress a lot. I bought a really nice full cover on my own to protect it and hope it is as comofortable in 5 years as it is today. Even if it isn't, it cost one third as much as my old Stearns and Foster. And right now it is so comfortable. I also bought two of the Bed-in-a-box foam pillows. My wife and son like them. I don't --too firm for me. However, at $69 for two, they are both getting excellent use by others in the house. The company has very good customer service and fast Fedex...

While skeptical, I still had high hopes that this would be a relatively decent bed. It is incredibly UNCOMFORTABLE, and basically a cheap product--a hard foam foundation with a piece of "memory foam" (just like the low grade topper you can find at Target). There is NO pressure point relief. To compare this to a Temperapedic is ludicrous. Throughout the night I wake up in agonizing hip, shoulder and lower back pain regardless of sleeping position. I question the integrity of this product and feel I got scammed.

Finally a mattress we can sleep on in our RV. We replaced the inner spring mattress with a bed in a box memory foam mattress and can now sleep comfortably all night long. The mattress we replaced had inner springs which kept my wife and I awake all night even with a mattress topper. Placed the order through bed in a box. The mattress arrived last week and we went camping Thurs. Slept on it for three nights and we were both amazed how comfortable the mattress is. Thanks for solving our RV nigthmares. We highly recommend the bed in a box memory foam RV mattress.

After reading numerous reviews and considering the 120-day in-home trial, I purchased a king-size PacBed Original mattress from Bedinabox. The numerous good reviews are accurate. The basic mattress is a great deal, and it is at least as comfortable as the Tempurpedic mattresses I tried. I can't see myself ever buying a mattress from another company after having slept on this mattress.

I bought the PacDown 11" queen size mattress with the bamboo cover and down mattress pad and 2 foam pillows in Sept 2008. I did not notice any smell, but the darn thing was just too firm. I tried 2 different toppers on it and still never was able to get a restful night's sleep. Tossing and turning all night long, sore back in the morning. Unfortunately I waited too long to take advantage of their return policy, because I kept thinking that I'd get used to it and it would work out. Not! I sold it for $100 and took the loss. Live and learn. You get what you pay for. AND - I did send bedinabox an email inquiry about donating it to a charity, but they never responded to me.

We bought a Bed In A Box King PacDown 11"Mattress with Foundation about 3 months ago after looking at Jameson, Tempurpedic and previously owning high end Stearns & Foster coil spring mattress. It is the best sleeping mattress we've ever had. No sinking in as you get warmer, which was the draw back to the Tempurpedic. Also, way cheaper, about half, from the Jameson bed, which is a very good bed, but over $2K vs. $1K for a king. Finally, no motion from the big 70 lb. dogs or me getting up, to wake up "The Princess", aka my wife. She sleeps better than ever and has had major issues with mattress comfort in the past. I can sleep on just about anything, but this bed is truly the best sleep I get and I travel for a living so I've tried just about every mattress there is in the hotel rooms of America. Save your time and money and to direct with Bed In A Box.

PS- One really cool thing is that if you have tight doorways you can order a large bed and get it upstairs and it will fit...

We just got our PacDown Plus a few weeks ago, and I can't tell you how thankful I am for the rest. As a mother of a ten-month-old boy, and expecting his sister in a little less than two months, I hadn't had a good night's sleep in nearly two years.

We'd bought a new mattress only about a year ago... it was on sale, and featured a memory foam top layer over the traditional innersprings. Well, call me the "Princess and the Pea," but I could feel sore spots on my hip and shoulder waking me up in the night and making me hurt in the morning after just a few months.

All that's changed since we got this incredible bed. I was skeptical at first about buying something this big online, but my husband and I were sold on their strong record of customer service and their genuinely fair return policy. I really liked the fact that they donate their returns [though I can tell you I wouldn't return it if you paid me!], and they seemed, from the testimonials I read, that they truly treat people...

My wife and I did hours of research on all types of beds before ordering our Bamboo Plus from Bedinabox.com. We had tested mattresses that were 9 times more expensive, so we were more than a little skeptical about the quality that went in to this mattress. Rest Assured (pun intended), that this mattress is second to none. Don't let the low price scare you away. We were also afraid of chemical odors (outgassing) that is inherent in petroleum based products. That's why we upgraded to the PureCel technology that bedinabox offers. We have not sensed even a hint of chemical smell. They tell me the PureCel is now available in all 11 inch and above mattresses, although this news is not yet reflected on the website. Right now, it's only $100 to upgrade to the PureCel.

Abigail, in Customer Service, was a big help in selecting our mattress, and I give her credit for telling me about the PureCell option. Thanks Abigail!

We are so pleased with this mattress, we plan to buy another...

I got the King Size thick foam mattress from Bed-in-a-box with the down cover and bed frame when they were all on sale around Christmas 2008. Very comfy and I'm happy!

I would suggest you let it air out for 1 or 2 weeks in the garage if you can though to get that "new foam" odor out. We left it uncovered in our bedroom for a few days with the doors and windows open and fan running to speed up the process.

We brought our newborn home about 3 weeeks after we got the mattress, and there have been no problems with the fumes, which are now completely gone. The price is way better than Tempurpedic, and the quality is probably the same or better.

i never would've purchased a mattress online, except i was convinced by bed in a box's seemingly generous return policy to take the risk. after receiving the mattress, i just wasn't happy with it. i didn't find it comfortable to sleep on. i decided to return it, but was given a lot of resistance when i called for my return number. i was asked to explain why i was returning the mattress, and that if the mattress was not defective i shouldn't expect to be able to return it for a refund. the return policy states "simply return the mattress and receive a 100% no-questions-asked refund." so, why was i being asked to explain why i was returning it??! now i am wondering if, after going through the trouble of packing this thing up and shipping it back, i'll ever actually get my money refunded.

these people are dishonest, don't trust them!
