Im kinda sad that Battelestar Galactica is finished it left some unanswered questions like who or what Kara really is and who is the last cylon.

I just finished watching the final season of current Battlestar Galactica and I have to say this entire series has been one of the best sci-fi shows I have ever seen. The storyline was intriguing and the characters have an incredible chemistry together. I couldn't wait to see the next episode even though I knew each one brought it all closer to the end of the series. I was thrilled to see there will be some additional movies/episodes. There was a promotional piece a special/movie that will show things from the cylons point of view. I can't wait! :)

One of the things I've always loved about sci-fi shows (Twilight Zone, The Outter Limits, etc.) is their use of powerful political themes built into an amazing storyline. The parallels to the war in Iraq, torture, religion, acceptance of those who are not like you, etc were absolutely stunning storytelling. It seems fitting the show ended about the same time the Bush/Chaney years ended.

Old series, new series- who cares. This show is amazing. It is not just a sci-fi show but a commentary on the human condition, how we relate to each other, how we react under pressure, the good, bad and ugly. Every friend we've ever turned on to BSG has become an instant fan. Good stuff.

When the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica launched a few years back I was immediately hooked. Although the special effects are great, this show is really about the relationships between the characters and how people react when faced with overwhelming tragedy. With complex story lines and phenomenal acting, Battlestar is not only one of the best sci fi shows of all time but simply one of the best shows of any genre period.

The old one was cool because it depicted a whole different culture and had cool adventures and fight scenes. In the new series people are wearing business suits and dresses that look like what you would see on a soap opera. I enjoyed this series but it would of been better if there were more cylon fight scenes. Whats up with the furniture. Did they rent it from rent to own and pretended an alien culture had the same idea of taste. Everyone is a drunk too.

I enjoyed Battlestar Galactica when it first came on and then it got kind of boring especially due to the long wait between the seasons and I just found myself being bored with the plotlessness and the the fact that they never seem to answer any of the questions the fans have asked over the years....

I borrowed the DVDs and just started watching. I can't believe I haven't been watching this all along. I saw the original growing up and it was silly and fun for its time so I enjoyed it for what it was. The new show borrows names and basic concepts from the original and everything else is a world apart. The characters, story-lines and visual effects are stunning, intelligent and some of the best TV I have ever seen.

I just caught up to this season and although I'm sad to see it ending it is also fun to see the things that a show can do when they know it is their last season. I won't write any spoilers just in case but knowing it is the last season in advance helps you understand why some of the things they do are possible. I look forward to watching the rest of the show and seeing where it takes us.

I watched the original show when I was a child and I feel like this new version of the show grew up with all of us.

The show is darker than the original in a very good way. The story-lines are modern and parallel much of what is going on in the news today. I've always loved Sci-Fi that tackles social and policital issues in comparison to what is happening in "their" world.

It is too bad season 4 will be the last season, however, it gives the writers some great liberties of not having to worry about how this will fit with next season and gives them the ability to give viewers the answers to their questions and a conclusion to the story.

I love this show, I am devistated that it will be ending. This remake is so much better than the original. The character's are so likeable, you can't help but feel like you know them. I can't wait to find out who the last cylon is, will they find earth, will starbuck finally be with apollo. Words can't describe how great this show is....

This series is definitely not for children, as several reviewers have stated (or complained), but I'm not sure anyone would mistake it for that, so why are people complaining? The writing is incredible. It's one of the top shows on tv as far as writing and production values go. The characters and their interactions never fail to interest me. I haven't seen Season 3 yet, but Seasons 1 & 2 were incredible. I can't imagine even comparing it to the original because they are totally different. Fans of the old series can like this one if they just separate the two totally. It's kind of like a beef burger vs. a veggie burger. They taste nothing alike, and if you think the veggie should taste like a hamburger, you'll always be disappointed. However, each can be enjoyed for their own merits.

One of the best shows on TV in the sci-fi genre or any other. The characters are developed properly and you end up feeling a connection with each of them. The plot twists are extraordinary especially at the end of season 3 regarding the new Cylon models. If you enjoy action, drama and especially sci-fo you will love this show. Enjoy !

Comparisons to the original series are unfair, but I still don't understand why they decided to change almost everything that made the original series cool. No Egyptian-flavored zeitgeist, the Han Solo character was replaced with another stereotype altogether, the main characters hate each other, and the evil robots come in two varieties : CGI or -and here's a special effect for you - completely human. All this is supposed to be better than before? One of the main plot points is that there are only a certain number of human-looking Cylon models. Excuse me, what? They can make them look human, but they can't make them all look different? That's like building a super-advanced android that can't use contractions. Each episode just tries to be more depressing than the last, and the big picture - humanity's extinction - is overlooked in place of angst. Motives and information are withheld to keep the audience guessing, but missing information makes an incomplete story, and an incomplete story...
