I would not wear make-up if I had great skin but....reality requires it. I have had problems with acne since I was a teenager. I always wore concealer and liquid make-up as a teen but the color never quite matched my skin tone. I am very fair but freckly. I always had the make-up line on my jaw. I fell in love with this Bare Essentials as soon as I started using it. The fairly light is a perfect match for my skin. When I brush it on, I can blot out all sorts of imperfections and I have plenty. I also use the mineral veil. It is able to give my skin a matte finish that lasts. I can tell if I don't use it. It really controls the oil around my nose. This make-up starter kit includes an instruction video that really helps you learn to use the powder make-up and teaches you how to look your best. For those of us not into cosmetology, the video is helpful. I like the idea that I can buff away my blemishes and scars with this make-up and its system of brushes. I do not leave home without this...

Bare Escentuals starter kit is the best. When I first wanted to try this product I didn't know if I wanted to invest the money in all the necessary items. The starter kit was the right price and it has everything needed. Soon after using I fell in love with the line. I don't use anything else. It doesn't even feel like you have anything on your face and you've got flawless coverage. Great product and great price!

Bare Escentuals is, by far, the best makeup i've ever purchased. it took a lot to get me to buy something that expensive that is "disposable" but i'll never go back to drugstore makeup again.

The little rounds seem so small, but they last forever. You really are paying for quality on this one. It only takes a tiny bit to cover a large facial area. It didn't even break my skin out, which most makeup does with shocking regularity.

I'm sold. I only wish their containers traveled better. If bounced around, they leak powder through the seam of the cap. i recommend a zippy bag for each container.

This product is great for teens who want to cover up blemishes without wearing a mask of make-up. Its so light that you wont even notice you have any on.I recently gave this product to my friend as a gift and her acne is actually clearing up!

Let me start by saying that I have tried all of the drugstore mineral makeups and they are nothing more than wannabes of Bare Escentual's original and far superior product.

When I first started seeing commercials for Bare Escentuals' mineral makeup on cable television, I thought it totally smacked of witchcraft and infomercialism. There was just no way that Bare Minerals could do what the commercials said it could.

But then I started seeing user reviews popping up all over the place, talking about how much people loved this product. And so I finally decided that I had to try it for myself.

I popped into Sephora and picked up the Bare Escentuals Starter Kit. It came with two foundations, a bronzer, a powder, three brushes, and an instructional DVD.

I watched the DVD and followed the instructions. I looked into a mirror and was blown away.

It really does work! My skin looked nearly flawless!

Goodbye, liquid foundations and tinted moisturizer. I've found the only foundation I'll ever need....

I've struggled for years with breakouts and I am well into my adult years. Bare Escentuals is so light that you can sleep in it and my breakouts have cleared up since using this makeup. I've been using it for 6 months now and am very happy with it. If you join their club, you get automatic refills (you choose the timing of shipments) and you always receive a free gift with purchase. I love not having to go to a specialty store to purchase my makeup!

Not a lot to say here! I was a skeptic. I tried it 2 years ago and have never looked back! Absolutely the best foundation ever.

I had stopped using foundation as I dislike the "mask" effect and untrue to life colors. Bare Escentuals has provided me with a natural looking finish that is undectable and flawless.

You can vary your coverage with ease, from full coverage to a light dusting depending on your personal needs. Some days we all need that little bit of extra, lack of sleep, that glass of wine last night or a surprise pop up blemish is easily dealt with using this product.

The product is easy to use, just takes a bit of practice at first. Once you've "got it", the stuff literally flies on and you are done in a flash. No tedious blending.

Great colors, and if you are inbetween you can easily combine 2 shades to customize. This feature comes in handy if your skin tone varies through the seasons slightly.

I like the built in SPF feature, a must to protect the skin from aging UV rays....

I've always been really lucky and had skin that was mostly never a problem. Because of this, I developed really lax habits when it comes to taking off my makeup at the end of the day. I've been using the Bare Minerals system for four years now and I love it. It gives my face a nice, natural and polished look without looking caked on.

The kit is really great because it comes with all the brushes and makeup that you need. I would recommend getting it from a place like Sephora or Ulta so that you can try on the shades for yourself before buying the kit.

I bought the starter kit mostly for the brushes. I mean it's a "starter kit." The look wasn't great, but it was passable. I mostly use the colors I recieved for eyeliner or mixing with the other bare escentual colors.

I was thrilled when I saw the commercials for Bare Escentuals Starter Kit and all the hype around it. I thought it would 'save my skin' and I couldn't wait to try it. We had moved to Oklahoma and my skin had taken a terrible turn from 'great skin' to dry, flakey, red blotchy skin due to hard water and I am sure in part, the age factor (I am not old however I don't have my 20 year old skin anymore).

The commercials and most reviews I read indicated it was basically a problem solver for almost any skin issue. Unfortunately, it was not a problem solver for my skin. It actually seemed to dry it out more. I have to admit that it did cover the red splotches but the additional dryness made my completion look worse. It gave me more of a caked on look which was not attractive at all. I did try this for a few months as I really wanted the results that many other people were raving about but it did not happen for me.

On the plus side, I liked the ease of application and it did lead me to try other...

I'm a medical student who doesn't have a ton of time for things like makeup, and in the past I've broken out after wearing make up for just a few hours. However, I saw all of the infomercials about bare essentials and was intrigued. So when I saw this kit at an outlet store for a good price I thought that I would give it a try, and I am really glad that I did. I wouldn't say that its the miracle product that the commercials will have you believe that it is, but it comes close. I like the fact that the powders make it feel like I am not wearing any make up but still even out my complexion. I still haven't broken out once, and I use this product often. What can I say, I'm hooked. Overall, I would recommend this product to the girl who has little time or patience for things like makeup. Its easy, and simple to use and the results are pretty great. Great product.... I think you'll like it.

i was so skepitcal about this makeup and the first time i used it i didnt like it but i gave it a chance and now i love it, its so easy to use, apply and it lasts and the best part is that it never irrated my skin nor did it ever cause break outs and it really makes a difference in my skins appareance

I have very fair skin that breaks out easliy . and i love this make up . even when i fall asleep wearing it i dont break out it blends well , but for first timers i do rec. whatching the video so you know what your doing .

I really like the Bare Escentauls starter kit. I was very skeptical at first because i am a Huge MAC fan. I had a really hard time getting used to the feeling of no make-up but now that I am used to it I love it. It doesn't stay on as well as they claim but my skin has made an improvement.
