Caprig says "Blot Me Out with Spring " about Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush

I have been an artist for years now, and one thing I have learned is that when it comes to brushes- it is best to get high quality (remember, I said QUALITY not PRICE) and get brushes that will do the job well.

I had been pretty well set with my brush collection when a dear friend sent me a surprise gift bag in the mail. The bag was loaded with a ton of Bare Escentuals products including all of the brushes. I did not have much regard for the quality of Bare Escentuals products until I began to mess around with the MAXIMUM COVERAGE CONCEALER BRUSH.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM COVERAGE CONCEALER BRUSH LIKE?

One thing I particularly look for in a brush is a good spring. When working with synthetic brushes, having a good springback is important especially when applying makeup in precise locations.

The BARE ESCENTUALS MAXIMUM COVERAGE CONCEALER BRUSH is 5 inches long from tip to tip. The actua bristles are 3/4 inches long and are in the filbert shape (which means rounded tip). The edge...
...

Jo says "Bare Escentuals Concealer Brush works like magic" about Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush

I never knew a brush could do what Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush does. $20.00 may seem like a lot of money for a makeup brush but this isn't just any makeup brush. It truly is a concealer. Used with my Bare Escentuals Foundation which I put on after Bare Escentuals Primer it works like a charm.

The brush is tapered and very narrow. Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush measures close to 5" but the bristles are only about 3/4" long.

The Brush can be used before or after putting on your foundation. I use it after. This is what I do. I apply my Foundation with my Full Flawless Face Brush. I then take the Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush and dip it into the foundation. I dot on the foundation on areas I want to cover and they magically disappear better than any concealer I have every used. I apply it (as I was told to do in Sephora) where my marionette lines would be if I had them as well. On some areas I spread the Foundation on; other areas...
...

eatingcookies says "When you really want to pack it on, go for Maximum Coverage." about Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush

I have read some positive and negative reviews of the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush, and I'd like to throw in my 2 cents.

This brush does pack in a ton of minerals into one place. I really like to use it with a base shadow, Butter Cream by Earth Angels Minerals, all over my lid, and under my eyes. Its thick application is great for areas that need concealing, or brightening.

One reviewer said that it can have a tendency to look harsh, and draw MORE attention to dark circles, etc. I would say that it definitely can do that, and one way to avoid that is to use the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush to APPLY the minerals you want in a concentrated dosage, and then to use a softer brush, like a blush brush, with the same mineral you are using, to blend and buff those minerals into your skin.

I suppose this technique would be a bit like using a spoon to dollop jelly onto your toast, and then spreading that jelly around with a table knife. The brush is a great deliverer of product,...
...

ericard says "not worth it!" about Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush

Let my start off first by saying that I love Bare Minerals.. This is the only brush I don't like. I found that when using the brush with the foundation, it didn't actually "conceal" my problem areas. Instead, I found it to make them more obvious. So I use a concealer before I put anything on and then I put my bare minerals on.

All in all, for me, it's defintely not worth it. Plus, it's too expensive for a brush that is just going to put more foundation on your face and "try" to cover your problem areas!
...

Amazing that I don't REALLY need to buy some 'concealer' product . . . just using Bare Escentuals foundation and this brush my little red splotches really do disappear! I love it... and it works well with a blemish or two as well. . . I love it! I can't say enough about how I love being able to get rid of the two or three little red marks on my face with this brush and the foundation....

Buggheart says "I didn't know I needed this but I'm sure glad I have it." about Bare Escentuals Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush

I have been Bare Escentuals foundation for years and absolutely love it. Lately I've been using some of their other eye and face products by picking up some of the Bare Escentuals kits that have been on QVC. These kits almost always include new brushes that I don't have that I somehow need. One of the recent kits came with the Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush. I had no idea that I even needed this brush but now that I have it and use it, I absolutely cannot live without it.

This brush is used with a product called Multi-Tasking Bisque which is a concealer.

From Sephora.com:
The smooth, synthetic bristles of this concealer brush allows full, concentrated coverage that blends into skin flawlessly. It holds more Multi-Tasking Bisque concealing bareMinerals, giving you extra coverage fast.

The synthetic bristles of this brush are very soft and densely packed. I just dip it into the pot of Bisque to pick up a very small amount of the soft silky powder and dab it on any red or dark spots...
...
