okay when i thought about looking for makup i wanted somthing that didn't feel heavy on the skin nor did i want somthing that was gonna look like i was wearing alot of makeup so i took a shot and bought this product and i am glad that i did i love it !.. it goes on so lite and does not feel like you have on makeup at all i love it so much i went back this month and bought the holiday collection i think i will never go back to using heavy makeup again.. now i want to wear makup again and i don't mind puting it on it takes me all of maybe 7 mins to do ..

I LOVEEE this foundation! It is sooooo easy to use and makes my skin look wonderful. I use it everyday and it covers every single blemish that I have. Definitely worth the money!

this is the absolute best foundation ever. evre. as someone with less than perfect skin (prone to blemishes) and also blessed with an oh-so-hard-to-match complexion (paler than anything!) this is the only foundation that truly lets me shine through. use a big brush to blend a beautiful, glowy complexion. use the same foundation with a tiny brush and a heavy hand- imperfections disappear. also good for using as a base for eyeshadow, or lipstick to make the color truer. honestly, if it made me coffee in the morning, it wouldn't surprise me that much.

The first time I tried Bare Minerals foundation, I did not like it at all. It was about six months ago and I thought it was a waste of money. Then, about one week ago, I was talking to my aunt and she was raving about how she loved her Bare Minerals. So, I thought there must be something great about it I missed the first time, so I used it again. I still didn't see what was so great about it. So, I asked my aunt, why she thought it was the bees knees.

Well, let me tell you, from talking to her, I found out that I was not doing enough swirling and was doing too much tapping. Those Bare Mineral girls out there know what I'm talking about (swirling and tapping) Those who are not, what that means is that I was not putting enough foundation on, so I really did feel bare (too bare) Since finding out that I needed to be putting on a little more to not feel so BARE, I like it a little better. I like the natural feel and look but if you have to put so much on is that really...

There have been a few times when I did not have enough money to buy Bare Escentuals and had to "settle" for another mineral makeup. I have tried about 3 other kinds thus far and was VERY disappointed. NO other mineral makeup can compare. I would recommend this mineral makeup to ANYONE who wants to have a face that feel like you are not wearing any makeup.

This is the best make-up....EVER! I'm always trying to cover my freckles. Every make-up I've ever used, I put alot of foundation on & it always looks blotchy. Not with Bare Minerals. It blends in with my skin & I don't have to use alot. A little does go a long ways. It looks so natural. I'm definitely not going back to liquid foundations anymore.

I first saw bare minerals advertised on a late night infomercial and i thought it looked interesting but never again gave it a second thought. then one day i went to sephora and found bare mineral kits there, it was only $60.00 and you got everything you needed to start off with. They gave you a manual and a dvd with step by step instructions on how to apply bare minerals. you got a kabuki brush, an allover applicator brush and a blush brush. the kit also comes with 3 different shades and warmth mineral product. Once you have mastered the bare minerals kit bare escentuals have many more products. They offer eye products, like eye shadows,eyeliner, mascaras and even eye makeup kits to give your eyes the smokey look. they offer different shades of blush and much more. The best thing about bare minerals is that it does not clog my pores, it last all day, even in the hottest weather.Also a little goes a long way. the one problem i had was that if i needed a touch up everytime i twisted it...

This makeup feels like you arent wearing anything. I hate the feel and look of cakey makeup. This looks very natural and if you forget to take off before bed,it wont break your skin out.

Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals Foundation

It's been quite a while that I've been using Bare Minerals Foundation, shame on me for not reviewing it sooner, I guess I had a DUH moment but I'm back now.

Like many reviewers, I watched and waited before trying this foundation as I never had good results with any kind before. I found many to be to thick and look unnatural, some would change color after application and many so called oil-free formulas left me feeling and looking slick and greasy. Forget trying to get a decent application, that's another story altogether and I'm not at all unfamiliar with applying and using makeup in the least.

Once again I watched Leslie Blodgett on QVC for the umpteenth time explain how to 'swirl, tap, and buff' and finally decided to go for the TSV that was was being offered. The kit included two mineral foundations of which I chose the medium shade but you get a lighter and darker of each so you can achieve the perfect color for you.

I've been using BareMinerals' mineral foundation for 5 years now, and I loveit. before I found this product, I could really wear makeup often, because my sensetive combination skin would freak out when I put just about anything on it. I could only wear make-up once a week or so, spending the rest of the week trying to make it up to my skin. With BareMinerals, I -can- wear makeup every day, if I want. I can even go to bed without having to wwash off every bit of it first, from time to time (wow!). It's not that difficult, I don't think, applying the loose powder. My only issue with it has been that I'd spilled once, which was pretty crummy. Now that you can find it cheaper though, it's not quite as bad. Back then I had to pay $25+ for a pot. :( That's a pretty hefty price for a college student who's paying her own way and living on a budget. It's so worth it though, because it makes make-up so much easier, and it's way better for your skin than most of the other junk out there.

I began using Bare Minerals Foundation several years ago. I was looking for a foundation that looked natural, yet covered my uneven skin tones (some red areas, tends to look a little sallow in other areas). Bare Minerals is easy to apply and gives great coverage. You might have to sample a few different shades to find just the right tone for your skin. Also, be careful because applying too much can cause it to "settle" in the lines, if you have laugh lines or other signs of aging. Sometimes it can look a little shiny, but using one of the other Bare Essentials products like Mineral Veil over top of it will help reduce that quality. Again, you have to be careful not to apply too much around the eyes. It's best to start with a little and build up your coverage- applying alot all at once can give you a "cakey" look, just like with a liquid foundation. Overall, I really like this foundation.

I've been using this for a long time. I think that it is a great foundation overall and with this, less is more. Do not apply too much, especially on the nose or it will make your nose look cakey and inflamed. It feels light and has natural ingredients. Absorbs oil well for most of the day. The original jar was annoying. Product flies everywhere, but the new matte version has a "click n go" container which is said to eliminate this issue. I give it 4 stars. I'm going to try the new matte version to see what this will look like without the "sheen" the original gives.

I recently started using Bare Minerals makeup and finally found out what the commercials were all about. This is a wonderful product that I would recommend to ALMOST anyone.

There is not a lot of guessing when it comes to finding your color, which makes is definitely one of the pros! Even if the colors are not exact, you can mix two shades to get your exact match. There are quite a few different brushes that allow for the coverage that you are looking for (whether it be light to heavy). You can see the coverage immediately with the placement of the foundation and then it increases with the mineral veil that goes over the foundation. It will cover most imperfections (I have dark circles under my eyes that almost disappear just with a few swipes of the concealer brush), even small scars without that caked on look.

The makeup is actually so pure and light you can sleep with it and not break out from clogged pores.

I have used Bare Minerals foundation for over 3 years now. I was mostly concerned with the coverage on my not so perfect skin. I often have a lot of redness and uneven coloring. I admit that it took me a while to 'get the hang' of using this make up. I wasn't quit sure if I was doing it right. Using too much or too little. But after a few tries I mastered it. I feel like I have barely anything on my face, yet it covers nicely and evens out my complexion. It looks natural at the same time. In the summer I tend to sweat and most make-ups would just melt off my face. This doesn't. Especially when I used their companion item, Mineral Veil. It is the equivalent of the compressed or loose face powder you would use to put over the top of liquid foundation. But it works SO much better. I highly recommend the Bare Minerals Foundation!
