Love this carrier - I recommend it to all my new parent friends as it will last much longer than the frontpack type carriers. Very supportive and comfortable, beautiful. These are great for back carries, which babies love and which make it easy for the parent to move around freely.
...

bloodtaker512 says "Hate it" about Babyhawk Mei Tai

We researched and read a bunch of reviews on baby carriers. We also never write negative comments unless the product is truly unsatisfactory. Most people had great things to say about this carrier. We thought it seemed like a cool product, especially because you can design it yourself. We couldn't wait to get it.

It finally arrived and boy were we wrong. I tried putting this carrier on by myself. I am a very capable person, but putting it on my back is impossible by myself. My husband has to help me everytime I put it on and when he's gone is when I need this on the most.

Also, we didn't feel this was safe nor was it comfortable. It always felt like the straps would become to loose or he would fall out. The carrier also put so much pressure on my back and shoulders.

When it comes to style, it is really neat how you can pick out your own pattern and add a pocket. It looks really cool from the back but you look hideous from the front. You have these two big knots and fabric hanging down....
...

Treighsie says "A must-have carrier!" about Babyhawk Mei Tai

I have always been interested in baby-wearing, but my knowledge of baby-wearing items was very limited when my 3 older children were born. I did have baby carriers with them, but they were purchased at big box stores and were very limited in their use.

Fast-forward to 2008 when my youngest son was born. I thought I wanted a ring sling (a kind of carrier), because that is what I had seen some fellow moms use. And I thought I would love it! ...but I didn't. I just couldn't get the hang of it, and it wasn't too comfy. So I looked into a mei tai. Babyhawk is a brand that makes mei tais. You can get them at many places, mostly on the internet. I was able to buy mine at a site called www.abbyslane.com and they had free shipping.

My Babyhawk is beautiful orange color with a sunburst pattern. Not at all girly, and not too boyish either. Just perfect for me, really. And there are so many colors and patterns to choose from. Babyhawk.com even lets you customize a carrier...
...

The Babyhawk carrier is a mei tai, Asian inspired, baby carrier. I have found it to be one of the best baby products we ever purchased! As a new mom with an infant I was not fully aware of the benefits of babywearing but when my second child arrived and I was living with a baby and a toddler I found a huge need for a baby carrier. I have tried other carriers and this is the best for us! We use it nearly everyday! From cooking to cleaning to going grocery shopping this carrier has been extremely helpful. I can do things hands on with my toddler while keeping my infant close and comforted. I can nurse easily and discreetly in this carrier as well. My child has the benefit of being carried close to me and feeling secure and I am able to have my hands free while on the go.

The Babyhawk carrier website offers many choices of fabrics. You can find anything to compliment your style! You can pay a little extra and have a reversible carrier so you can just turn the carrier over to whichever side...
...

yummymummy614 says "Beautiful and Practical" about Babyhawk Mei Tai

I love my babyhawk mei tai! If you already know that a mei tai is for you then you will be satisfied with the exceptional quality of a babyhawk. The sewing is flawless, it is extremely durable, the headrest is perfect! It is easy to use but there is a small learning curve for unexperienced mei tai users (as would be the case with any carrier). I can use this carrier with either my infant or 27 pound toddler and both are happy as can be. I am a petite person (5'3" 110 lbs) and find that the straps are a bit too long but I simply tie a large bow so as not to have the straps dangling on my legs. I don't use my Babyhawk daily beacause my equally beautiful Becco is a bit more practical and has more padding. I would recommend that you opt for a pocket on your babyhawk as this feature is sooo useful although the toy loop is not really necessary.
...

If you want to be comfortable, keep your child happy, stop the crying, and look good while you do it, this is the carrier for you! Why be boring with a stroller or Baby Bjorn when you can have a customized carrier, down to the strap color and fabric choice (any you want!)? These are worth the money, especially considering how expensive some of the specialty carriers are!...

Every time we use this product ( which is almost all the time!), I say it's worth every penny! I can carry my daughter and not kill my arms or back! You know those days where all they want to be is held? I see so many parents holding their child through a mall or park and I've been there.

This product makes this so much easier! My 21 lb daughter feels so light in this and I can carry her for hours! My husband even loves to carry her in this. Hands free and you can carry them too!

Well worth every penny... although I would love to own more for their gorgrous fabrics!
...

floopy04 says "My Babyhawk keeps my hands free and my head sane!" about Babyhawk Mei Tai

I purchased my babyhawk through www.alongfortheride.com and received excellent customer service with getting a customized babyhawk (also available from www.babyhawk.com) Babyhawk is an awesome carrier called a mei tai, which is a traditional chinese baby carrier that uses a waist strap and shoulder straps along with a panel of fabric to hold your baby. They are much more comfortable and longer-useage than a carrier like a snugli or bjorn because of where the straps distribute your child's weight and how they are made. I wear my 7 month old son, who is over 20 pounds daily around my home while doing chores and while out shopping and he feels almost weightless (not so true when I'm trying to juggle him in my arms!). This works great for the times of day when he's fussy and wants held but I'm trying to finish up a task around the house or do something with my older children (ages 4 and 2). He often falls asleep in it! I have also carried my 2 year old in my mei tai while out when she......
