This carrier was really comfortable for me until my daughter weighed too much to carry on the front. I like that she can face forward where as she can not in my Ergo carrier. I also loved the lower back support. That made a huge difference from using the snugli!
...

As said, I didn't use my BabyBjorn that much...I don't know why. It was always so complicated to baby in it. I wonder if I would have gotten more out of a sling. The upright position of the BabyBjorn can make it difficult for the baby to sleep in it. I seemed to get more use out of it with my second. I would put him inside it while I did chores. Even so, I was limited. If I bent down I would always keep one arm around him in fear that he would go sliding out. I think it's handy when you are in places with tight spaces so you don't have to try to maneauver a stroller around, but we weren't out that often. When we were we had a diaper bag with us so a stroller always seemed preferable.
...

I used mine for all 3 of my children and it still looks brand new. Once you get the hang of it, it is easy to use, and easy to adjust the size if you are switching between users. Baby feels very secure in it. I did not use it past the first few months as I found it too heavy, but that is just me, I have friends who used theirs with much heavier babies with no problems. Definitely worth buying one of these if you are expecting!
...

amieratliffbarnes says "Tried others, but this is the best" about BabyBjorn Original Baby Carrier

I was so hesitant to make this purchase. Someone gave me a backpack carrier at my shower, but I'm only 5 foot tall & that just didn't work for me.

I purchased a cheaper brand & thought it would do the trick. Boy, was I wrong. I am large chested & the cheaper brand name carried caused me even more back pain, I never felt like my baby was comfortable, & he fussed the whole time.

To me, it wasn't worth it. There are times when a stroller isn't easy to get around in & I needed an alternate plan. So, I purchased the Bjorn baby carrier original.

I loved it from the first day I used it! Even my husband started 'baby wearing'!! It was so comfortable & my little guy just loved being in it. I loved that it had leg straps for a small infant to be in it facing you. That was a plus for us.

Now, I have a three 233 week old baby girl & she got her first ride on Black Friday. It is so nice to have your hands free while you shop, cook, or take care of other kiddos in your...
...

bethfecher says "Loved the idea..." about BabyBjorn Original Baby Carrier

When my husband and I were expecting our first child, I made sure that a Baby Bjorn carrier was on our registry. When someone bought one for us, I was ecstatic, until I put it on. I have a larger bust and did not feel that it fit on me well. My husband did okay with it, but the idea was much better than the reality, for me.

It is wonderful to be able to securely fasten your baby to your body. If you are out and about, you have the sense of protection when your baby is that close to you. You can move around freely without worrying about your baby in a carrier that is at your side. You can also move through crowded areas without having to say "excuse me" 100 times so as not to run over people with your bulky stroller.

However, as I said before, it did not work for me. My husband used it a few times, but I never really did. It "cut" me in a funny way and was not flattering at all. For smaller women, this would be a great product to have, but for those who have more up top,...
...

The bjorn carrier is an amazing carrier & saved me in so many ways. First of all this carrier is very easy to put on & get the baby hooked up. I tried the snuggly & it wasn't as easy to hook up and it wasn't as easy on my back. I had back trouble with my first two babies so this carrier was the best and did not trouble me at all. I also tried a sling which really hurt my back as it leaned to one side. All three of my children LOVED this carrier. I even used it when they were older. My second cried a lot and always wanted to be held for at least the first year, so this carrier made it possible for me to get things done around the house without killing my back. Everytime I put her in it she would stop crying. My youngest is the same way. I use it right now for him all the time. He could be upset, I put him in the bjorn and he immediately calms down and just loves it. I use it for shopping, cooking, cleaning, when I'm out with my two toddlers, and basically everywhere...
...

A friend let me borrow her babybjorn with my third child and I love it. I do not use it all day, mostly when I take my other two children out by myself. It am able to keep track of my other kids while still having my baby close. It is nice to be able to use both set of hands to keep alll the kids close to me. I wish I would have used this with my other two children, it would have made my life easier. One problem I do have is getting too hot while wearing it. I do live in a hot area, so having something extra just does not help at all. But for that being the only problem, I would recommend this product to others. I have read that others have back problems with it, but I have never had this problem. I also do not wear it all day, just when I am shopping or at the library. The price on the product is a bit much, but there are always others who are trying to sell theirs. So there are good deals on the babyborns out there, you just have to look for them.
...

katesview says "great carrier" about BabyBjorn Original Baby Carrier

This is a great first baby carrier overall, but it was a little tricky getting our little guy into it at the beginning. It was difficult to get it on us in a way that we could get him in it. We tried a few different positions - sitting, laying, etc, but nothing seemed to work. Once our son got a little older (5 months), he was a lot more comfortable facing forward. The only downside that we found is that the "flap" would sit up in his face. It was way to tight to clamp it down, so it just kind of flopped around. All in all though, it's a great carrier - our little guy likes it, and he is safe and secure. We also like that my husband and I can both use it and easily adjust it when switching between us. As all carriers do, after a while it hurts your back a little, but this is likely from our heavy baby rather than the carrier. I would recommend this to new moms, especially for infants after 5 months.
...

I have the Babybjorn Original Baby Carrier, and it is quite useful for wearing around the house to get chores done and keeping baby content while you do it. I am a mother of three who homeschools my children, and I am moving around a lot, so I just strap the baby into the carrier and have my hands free to do laundry, dishes, and teach my other children. The carrier is comfortable and it feels secure. My baby has fallen asleep in the carrier and has been content to sleep against me while I do my work around the house. I like the fact that the Babybjorn can be used forward facing once baby gets older and can support their head by themselves. This is great for taking to the zoo or fair, so that baby can be snuggled right up with mom or dad and not in a stroller the whole time you are walking around. While it is a very secure system, it is hard to get baby out of it when they fall asleep and you want to lay them down.
...

There is not enough good things that I can say about the Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier. I had the original black Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier, and I have to say that they were spot on with it! I tried two other types of carriers, and never quite felt secure enough to leave my daughter in either of them for more than a few minutes. However, with the Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier, I wore my baby for hours at a time! I did housework, went shopping, we went for walks on the beach, and all the while she got a front and center view of everything! I got to explain everything I saw to her and had both hands free to help her feel out new textures, etc. and give her a great birds eye view of everything! It was also super easy to breastfeed my daughter while she was in the Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier. It was the most discreet way I found to breastfeed in public, as most people could not see when she was facing in and the neck support was in an upright position. I highly recommend!
...

I bought the Babybjorn Original baby Carrier before i had my baby girl. I heard a lot about the product before purchasing it. I diffidently got my moneys worth. I used it until she was about 6 months and then she just got to heavy for me to carrier around, but those 6 months i could do anything. She loved being close to me so it was perfect for her to be strapped to me while i was cleaning. It was so easy to put on and take off. I never needed any help while putting my her inside it. Now i am pregnant with my second child and i know i will use it like there is no tomorrow. Especially since i'll have a toddler to run after. I have not noticed any defects with the product and it still looks brand new. It's also great because it adjusts to baby's height so you can use it longer. i know it will last me through all my kids that i have because the fabric is very strong and the babybjorn is designed just right. I also like that the color is black, that way my husband can use too.
...

I was employed at Babies'R'Us during my first pregnancy and very familiar with the different baby carriers on the market. Baby Bjorn was relatively new compared to other brands that appealed to a more "budgeted" audience. Not knowing how much I would actually use the thing and not wanting to overspend on a silly thing like a carrier, I opted first for the $25 carrier. Big mistake. I used it every day, and most nights, since my son had colic; and I liked the idea of wearing him rather than putting him in a swing or on the floor. But I soon realized that the purchase choice I made was a mistake...so I bought the next expensive one...still not the Bjorn, but the $45 one. I really don't know why I didn't just spend the almost $100 for the Baby Bjorn Carrier in the first place. I have used it with both my sons, and lent it to my girlfriends in between. We all agree that for how comfortable it is, and how easy it is to adjust and use, it is totally worth the extra money over the...
...

Babybjorn Original Baby Carrier was one of the many products we added to our baby registry at Babies R Us. Of course there are some absolute must-haves and we weren't sure if we really needed this type of carrier. Let's just say I'm thrilled someone decided to purchase this for us! My husband is quite skeptical of baby products and at first was uneasy. After strapping him in and adding our baby daughter, he was hooked. Not only could he be close to her and have more of a bonding experience, but he could get "work" done around the house. Some of my favorite photos of my husband and daughter include the Babybjorn Carrier. He managed to cook and clean with baby in tow. This carrier was easy on the back and chest. It was sturdy and comfy to wear. We definitely reccommend this baby carrier for first time moms (and dads). You won't be embarrassed to carry your child around and you'll look stylish, too! I am looking forward to unpacking the baby accessories we have stored...
...

I love the Baby Bjorn Baby Carrier Active. It is really great for when I need to make a trip to the store but I do not want to take the time to fold up and bring the big bulky stroller. My husband also enjoys using this baby carrier. My son seems very comfortable in the carrier. We think he enjoys it.

The carrier comes with instruction about how to put it on. Once you practice a few times it is fairly easy to use.

When the baby is small you can use the carrier with the baby facing inward. Once the baby is bigger, the baby can face out. It is nice that the carrier can be used as the baby grows.

It is also nice to have the baby carrier if you do not want people touching your baby when your are shopping. People seem to be a lot less willing to go up and touch your baby when it is strapped on to you. It is also nice to always have your baby close by and no exactly where the baby is.
