MommyPharmD says "Car Seat - Does the job but wouldn't buy it again." about Baby Trend Travel System (all fabrics)

Number One...don't buy a carseat unless you have actually SEEN and tried to USE it in person!!! I bought mine online b/c it had good safety ratings, I liked the look of it (very neutral for girl or boy so it could be re-used), and the shopping options were pretty limited in my area. I suggest taking a baby doll (if you don't have one yet and are expecting...I bet-ya have a friend with a little girl who would let you borrow one the her 30!) and actually buckling it up, adjust the straps, and carry it around...holding the handle, carrying it on your arm, etc. Put the handle up and down...do it all b/c you are going to be like this (I am crossing my fingers) for the next year +, depending on how many kiddos you are going to have! And remember, strapping your angel in is NOT the only process you will go through...babies poop and spit up a lot, and it doesn't always stay inside the diaper or on the bib. Look to see how easy it is to take the covers and straps off and reassemble them all (this...
...

I walk regularly at a park and use this stroller almost everyday. Folding it, and unfolding it is a hassle ALL the time. I have had strangers ask me if I need a hand! I would NOT buy this again for that reason!
...

I find the baby trend stride z travel system to be a great stroller. I'd recommend it to any parent who wants their child to be comfortable. It makes for an easy ride. It also was very simple to put together the things that were needed to be assembled....

For my second child I decided to do a jungle baby theme. Most of the items we picked out for the nursery were from fisher prices' jungle babies except for the stroller, car seat combo which is from baby trend. We love it!!! Every where we go we are complimented on how cute our car seat or stroller are! Most comments are "I've never seen a green like that" or "that is a great color/animal print". The car seat clicks right into the stroller so we never have to take baby out. There is lots of room under the stroller which is great for storing the diaper bag and a neat little compartment on the handle bar for keys/change or whatever. It has a slide and push button for collapsing made easy. It has really great brakes on each wheel and sturdy wheels as well. I strongly recommend this stroller car seat combo to any new parent for boys or girls....

This stroller I got from Babies R Us, I love giraffes so I picked this out first, It looked nice with the carseat that matches and the pocket and cup holder, one hand fold and the removable childs tray. It is a nice stroller other than that you are unable to take the material off and wash. This is horrible, what child do you know that doesn't make a mess out of a stroller and now this one you can't remove it and wash. The only thing that comes off is the pocket under the stroller. Also to have the infant seat clicked into the stroller you have to remove the top part of the tray, so that is one more piece that you have to keep track of. Oh, one more thing the seat doesn't recline back all the way so baby can't lay flat when he/she is sleeping and it doesn't sit up straight either....

Trying to find a stroller that is not dark colors or gender orientated was very difficult. Even the storllers that we thought were more gender neutral ended up having floral fabric on the umbrella portion of the stroller of which my husband was not thrilled about. When we found this stroller (Orange Oak by Baby Trewns) at Baby's R Us we were thrilled. And took sometime checking it over.

As a parent of 5 children now quality is of high importance. I plan to pass this stroller on to my little sister who is now ready to start her own family sometime. Our previous stroller from Graco really took a beating and lasted through 4 children so we really were looking to replace it with another Graco. However we looked everywhere and couldn't find one we really liked for the price we could afford. They were either gender specific or weighed a ton. Perhaps it was even the dark colors that steared us away. We were looking for something unique. That is what we found finally upon arrving...
...

My children are 8 years apart and things have changed a lot in the world of baby stuff. When the new baby came along I went in search of the perfect stroller/travel system. Perfect, meaning tall enough that I don't have to hunch, LARGE storage basket, easy to maneauver, etc. I have to admit that I was initially attracted to the Orange Oak system because of the color and design. But I tried it out and compared it to others in the store. It was on the lower end of the price range, which was good. It was one of few that had large baskets. I can fit a large diaper bag, my purse, and shopping bags/coats in it. The handle is adjustable to different heights, which is great, and even folds away. The parent tray has two cup holders and a closing storage compartment for keys, etc. When folded up it stands on its own. The back of the sear reclines almost to lying down. And the child tray flips up for easy ins and outs. And it is quite maneauverable, although it could be better. ......
