As a previous Bare Escentuals and Sheer Cover customer, listen to this. I was wasting about $40 a month for two little things of mineral makeup from these places (or more) and so I decided I'd try AVON since it's only $8 (lasts about a month). I found no difference, but in the texture of makeup. AVON has changed the mineral makeup so it's less messier, so ignore the previous comments that are 2 months old from this one.I have oily skin and acne and this covers up my acne SO WELL. For people that use liquid makeup when they have acne, DON'T DO IT. This doesn't irritate your skin more nor does it cause more breakouts, I will NEVER use another powder again (this is also great for a concealer if you use the right kind of brush)! For people with dry skin, before using this wear lotion, or it will dry out your skin. AVON also has a great money back guaranteed if you don't like it. So, try it anyways.

I bought the new Avon Smooth Mineral Make-up due to the price. I figured that I didn't have much to lose (and I could always get a refund). I already use mineral make-up but was in search of a less messy, less expensive alternative to the brand I currently used.

First, it was hard to match colors online. I ended up ordering ivory which made me look like a ghost and was too light for my skin. Luckily, Avon was great about the return and let me keep the product and still gave me a refund.

I then ordered nude (the second lightest color), but it's a little too dark. In the end, I just mixed the ivory and nude together to get my perfect combo.

Still, the product remains messy, like all mineral make-up and does not go on as smoothly as the more expensive product. I feel like mineral make-up meant well, but it wasn't created for girls on the go and makes touch-ups difficult. I think there is a better alternative out there.

I found avon mineral makeup tacky and hard to blend. It would get gummy in places on my skin. Just horrible and I've tried all kinds of mineral makeup brands and found this to be the worst.

Avon Smooth Minerals Makeup is a very good make up. I have a problem with skin redness and have had a very difficult time finding a makeup that would make my skin look smooth and even colored while not looking coated on. I like the natural look. This makeup covered well without putting tons of it on, or layering too much. It makes my cheeks look natural, yet even toned. It is also very lightweight and doesn't dry my skin.

I was really hoping that the Avon mineral makeup would work. I had heard lots of great things about it and my friend that sold it to me uses it all the time and loves it. I really did like that it left a matte finish. Some mineral makeups that i had tried before had glitter in them and looked ridiculous. The main reason this didn' work is because my skin is so dry. This product just made it worse. I tried a really good moisturiser underneath and i tried mixing it with the moisturiser. still terrible. the coveragewas kinda patchy. and my skin felt like it was covered by sand. if you have oily or normal or combo skin this will probably work for you but was terrible for me.

I loveAvon Mineral Makeup stuff, It goes on very nice, smooth and does not look fake. I have tried the more expensive mineral make-up and this looks just as nice for less money. That is a plus in this day and age. The colors are nice, so anyone can find what they need.

Avon's mineral makeup is a good choice especially if you have never tried mineral makeup before. The price is right and there are plenty of choices to match you skin tone. I have been using mineral makeup for many years now and would never go back to "regular" makeup. It's easy ro customize , blend and apply. The look is as natural or "made-up" as you want. The avon products don't seem to be as finely ground as some other produts I own but they go on easily and look natural. If you are looking for a foundation, pick two colors that you think are a good match for your skin tone. Blend the minerals is easy and usually gives you a better color than one on it's own. This is also helpful when the season's change and skin tone tans a bit. Try the avon, you won't be disappointed but if you find it's not for you, you're only out several dollars.

Avon mineral makeup is a wonderful product. I am the kind of girl that likes little or no makeup so it's perfect for me. It is lightweight and blends with your natural color easily. I've tried different products through the mail, but Avon cannot be beat on price. It's easy to order, priced to afford, and it makes me feel flawless. My boyfriend loves that I wear it because he can barely tell that I'm wearing any makeup and he like that. He always tells me that I have beautiful skin tone without makeup and sometimes he doesn't realize that I'm wearing the mineral makeup from Avon. Great product....
