We use the Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus. It is amazing. Keeps us from being bit and has no bad smell. Goes on smooth and keeps bugs away for hours.I think is a good price.

I live in the country between a horse farm and black angus cattle farm. Add to that our own horses, house cat, numerous adopted barn cats and you've got every type of flying, buzzing, creepy, crawling, insect you can imagine! With all that being said I'm outdoors a lot. During the summer months more so. I don't have time to look for or put on 101 different products to protect me from all of the above. And I want to smell pretty, after all I'm still a girl, lol.

I remembered Avon made skin softener that also repelled insects. I checked out their website and low and behold I founded that their original Skin-So-Soft had a new and improved version called, Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus - Gentle Breeze!

An all in one skin protection product that not only protects you from bugs but contains moisturizing sunblock lotion, SPF30! Smooth skin with NO BUGS. . . a dream come true! One draw-back. . . it's not water proof, so it needs to re-apply, but a little bit Avon Skin...

We live on a Bog in Maine and I could get carried away by the bugs. I use any of the AVON Bug Gaurds and I hardly notice the bugs. Out of my whole family, I'm the one that the bugs love and would eat me alive. I hate going outdoors, but using Bug Guard allows me to play outdoors with my girls and enjoy the outdoors without fighting the bugs. I think that the smell of the Bug Guard is very pleasant, it is not overwhelming at all. I've never tested the Sun Screen aspect of Bug Guard, because the only time I usually need sunscreen is at the beach, but I have used Bug Guard on my girls and didn't find that they were affected by the sun. I did not like the blue rub on Bug Guard, it seemed to bead up, make my child a weird color. The Gentle Breeze is very smooth, easy to apply to kids and I felt that it worked well compared to other brands I have tried as far as bug dope. The thing I really like about this AVON product is that my oldest doesn't fight me about getting it put on. ...

The product that I tried was a spray and it was so handy. The best bug spray and it is a sunscreen to boot!

Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus has provided average protection for my family. I think the idea of combining a sunscreen with bug protection is great. My kids and I are very fair skinned and tend to attract lots of mosquitoes. It is a welcome relief to apply one rather than two products. However, one website did not recommend using a combined product such as this for children.

I purchased the white lotion variety of this product at a 50% off deal. At 50% off, it was about the same price as another manufacturer's bug spray without sunscreen that we purchased as well.

According to one website that tested numerous types of bug repellents, Avon Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus provided 23 minutes of complete bug protection, with Skin So Soft bug guard (10 minutes) and Skin So Soft moisturizing sun care (3 minutes) not fairing nearly as well. The longest lasting repellent provided 302 minutes of complete protection according to that website, but this product ranked fifth best, and much better than...

Avon Skin so Soft Bug Guard Plus SPF 30 is a lightly scented (Gentle Breeze), insect repellent, SPF 30 sunscreen lotion. This product is very water resistant.

This product is not the one with the blue dye in it. This is a dye free formula. The lotion is not very thick and is easily applied. The scent is not overwhelming, but rather a plus compared to similar products that have very strong foul scents.

I was hesitant about buying a product that is scented because I thought it would attract more bugs. I could not have been more wrong. This product does repel mosquito's, flies (we have those nasty Greenhead flies), and no-seeums. The recommended application for insect repellent is every two hours. I put it on once and did not reapply all day. I did not get sunburned or chewed up.

The only disadvantage of this product is a 4 ounce bottle costs approximately $6.00; not including delivery.

Compared to other products with similar claims on the market, this one fairs very well...

I found that the sunscreen part works well, but the bug guard didn't work at all. My family was all bit up. I ended up going out and buying a diff. bug spray.. I did want to give it another chance but it failed again and we didn,t even go into the water. Why pay the extra money for something that doesn't work?...

Well I don't know about you,but I do not have tons of money or time to waste.What I do have is a 17 year old handicapped daughter who is very fair skinned,very active,and very impatient.So finding 1 product that addresses so many of her needs is a life saver to me.(1)Insect Repellent-apparently she is very sweet smelling,because the bugs love her.(2)SPF30 Sunscreen-she is very fair skinned.(3)Gentle Breeze Scent-hello...it speaks for itself,not in your face take your breath away scented.(4)Contains Aloe&Vitamin E-actually helps heel other scratches and scrapes.(5)Very Affordable-again I am not made of money. I like the convenience of having the bug guard with the sunscreen. It does not irritate my sensitive skin and my kids do not complain about using it. We always take it camping with us. I highly recommend this sunscreen to family and friends.

I have four children who are all fair skinned. Five minutes in the sun, and my eight year old is already getting red. I have tried several sunscreens, and I loved the idea of having a bug repellant in the sunscreen as well, especially since my kids are also allergic to mosquitoes and welp up when bit. However, I found that the sunscreen just didn't last long enough in the water, and you know kids, playing in the water is their thing....

I enjoy spending time in my backyard patio during the warmer months. Unfortunately, so do the local wasps and mosquitoes. I really hate to spray harsh bug repellants on my skin so I was on the lookout for a product that would work effectively but wasn't overloaded with harsh chemicals. Avon Skin-So-Soft Bug Guard Plus IR3535 - Gentle Breeze has been the answer for me. In addition to the insect repellant, the lotion also contains an SPF 30 UVA/UVB sunscreen.

When I first opened the cap, I was surprised by how innocuous the Gentle Breeze scent smelled. I'm used to bug killers smelling like strong chemicals so it surprised me that the Bug Guard Plus smelled like a lightly fragranced body lotion. The product contains aloe and vitamin E moisturizers, and is both pediatrician and dermatologist tested. Another plus for this item - besides the sunscreen - is that it is both DEET-free and PABA-free.

After applying the Bug Guard Plus, I find that I can sit outside in the twilight when...
