I have no mosquitoes in my diningroom. But I'm going to sample the stuff my hubby swears by -- Avon Skin-So-Soft Bug Guard Plus. Summer in the local mountains means a gazillion bugs, and TunefulPal knows his stuff about prevention.

First, I'll try Cool 'n Fabulous with disappearing color. The four-ounce tube is kind of turquoise and... wait a minute... soooo... is the lotion. I'm putting it on my arm... blue... blue... less blue... The color's all gone! The lotion is very light and spreadable, and... my arm looks... well... polished!

This stuff's neat, and it's got a 30 SPF sunscreen as well. That's great for my pale Pal who's already had two serious bouts with skin cancer. Vitamin E and Aloe are also among the ingredients.

Now, when Pal, who's on a mountain rescue team, has to wade in a creek or help with people who've fallen off a waterfall (easy to get up, sometimes fatal to get down), he's covered in still another way. Avon labels its Skin-So-Soft Bug Guard Plus...

I have to say that I LOVE this stuff!! AVON Skin So Soft Bug Guard is deet free, so it's great for kids. It also has sunscreen in it!! I have been using this product for years in the aerosol and now that I have young children I have switched over to the lotion. It isn't greasy like other brands tend to be, and it is fun for my kids because the blue disappears. It also helps to see where the lotion has been applied so you don't miss a spot.

It has a light scent, not overpowering at all. It is also very water resistant. It is effective against many bugs including: ticks that carry lyme disease, mosquitos, biting midges, chiggers, no see ums and pretty much any other bug to come your way.

Great on sensitive skin

I would highly suggest this product for anyone!!!

Not recommended for babies under 6 months.

Avon Skin-So-Soft Bug Guard Plus Disappearing Color SPF 30 is not easy to rub in. It works well as a sun block. It is very thin and runny also....

This is the best sunscreen-insect repellant combination I have found! It works so well that I buy 6 tubes at the beginning of every summer. My kids think it's great to watch the color fade away so threy don't fight me when it's time to put it on. I highly recomend Avon SSS Bug Guard Plus SPF30!!!...

The smell of this product was different. Not different in a bad way just different. It was very messy and you had to rub it in very well. I worked well protecting you from the sun and bugs. Which is a big deal for me. ...

This year my toddler started having terrible reactions to bug bites. We are actually waiting for allergy testing. I looked high and low for a mosquito repellant that I wouldn't be afraid to use on her that would also be effective. I read about the Avon SSS Bug Guard online and gave it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised by the light scent and how well this product truly does work. Now, one thing that I did not like is that it doesn't play nice with my nail polish. It makes my nail polish tacky feeling after I apply it to my child and it is a little hard to wash it all off if you don't plan on using it yourself. I also would love a kid formula that ISN'T a sunscreen. We don't need sunscreen at 8 p.m....

This sunscreen is great and the bug guard in it works well also. You do not have to reapply as often as some of the other brands I have used in the past! I ordered a ton from my Avon lady so I would have to all around my house! With it being a color, you can easily tell if you missed any spots! ...

This is great for keeping the bugs off but when you get hot and sweat it burns your face. It did this to my children, husband and my self. I wouldn't use it on the face or if you have sentaive
skin. After sweating it also iritated legs when freshly shaved....

I have used this product on my kids and myself. I think that it is one of the best sunscreen with bug guard. We can play outside in our yard and not worry about any bugs!!:) It is also great for days that we walk in the woods. The bugs are so bad around the area and I am always looking for sunscreen with the bug protection and this is the one that has worked the best for me. I suggest anyone try this product....

This sunscreen is perfect! It keeps you from burning and it moisurizes. The bug guard works most of the evening but it is necessary to re-apply at least once after an afternoon of swiming. My children love it obviously because of the 'magic' color change disappearing color. Which is extremely helpfull when making sure it is rubbed in properly otherwise there is too much margin for error and burns....
