brenviewer says "Makes a home remedy even simpler." about Aveeno Baby Wash and Shampoo

Aveeno's Baby Wash and Shampoo is a little pricey, but you pay for what you get. In this case, you get a quality baby wash that soothes the skin and helps moisturize. The oatmeal formula Aveeno is known for no doubt stems from the home remedy of soothing poison ivy irritations with an oatmeal bath. Aveeno's Baby Wash and Shampoo modernizes that remedy so you don't literally have to dip your child into a bath filled with oatmeal.

We've found that Target's Up & Up line has a similar product, the Up & Up Baby Wash and Shampoo with oat extract.

I'm sure the home remedy--oatmeal bath--works, but i can't imagine the mess i'd be facing if i put my kids in a tub of oatmeal. It's hard enough getting up all the water they bring outside the tub with them.

Seriously though, my son and I both have eczema--excessively dry skin. And bathing dries us out even further. Aveeno's Baby Wash and Shampoo helps retain the moisture during baths/showers.
...

I love this product. My youngest son and middle son had very sensitive skin when they were babies. With my youngest son I started using the aveeno baby wash/shampoo on him and it worked wonders. It helped to clear up his dry bumpy skin and gave him relief. I still use it for my middle son who still suffers with his sensitive skin issues. I normally like a lot of fragrance in our products but I am willing to use this just for the benefits it has. The wash is kind of think but it works great!
...

I am a mom with two kids, aged three and one. They both seem to go through phases of either loving or hating to have a bath (getting your hair washed?? pure torture! haha). I had some $2 off any Aveeno product coupons and happened to pass through the baby section of Target, where I found some of the Aveeno Baby Hair and Body Wash marked down. It was a great price, especially with the coupon, so I purchased a few. I was skeptical of it being for hair and body, thinking it would either not clean well enough on the body or it would not clean hair well enough or dry it out. I'm happy to say I was proven wrong. It works wonderfully, it is not at all harsh on skin or hair and still provides an effective clean. It saves space in my bathtub because I only need one bottle sitting there instead of two, no worries about one toddler grabbing the bottle I'm not currently using on them, discovering they can open it, and pouring it out (like that's never happened to you! haha). I love...
...

chicabonita says "The only soap we use for the kids!" about Aveeno Baby Wash and Shampoo

I always hated the smell of Johnson and Johnson stuff so when we were registering for the baby, we signed up for Aveeno for the light smell. I love how the boys smell after their baths! It's a light, easy to rinse off soap that is tear-free. Since both of my boys have mild eczema cases, Aveeno has worked perfectly for us since it is such a gentle product. We love just the standard baby hair and body wash that Aveeno puts out. I've even had to use the Aveeno bath bars before when I couldn't find any other soap and we saw no reactions to it on the kids' skin.

I like that this product also doesn't soap up too much. I wish that they sold the soap with a pump though. I found it once and it was SO convenient. And bigger bottles would be nice. It's slightly more expensive than other baby bath projects but honestly, you are able to use less soap to get the job done so a bottle lasts forever.

Besides the smell, I love the combination of hair and body wash. SO much easier and...
...

Aveeno Baby Wash and Shampoo was actually recommend by our pediatrician. Our son has very sensitive skin. We tried every other "baby wash" out there and this is the only one that doesn't break him out. It's got a great scent that doesn't smell baby and it lathers really well. The great part is it works for both a body wash and shampoo so I don't have to juggle multiple bottles while trying to wash a hyper 4 year old.
...

Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo is a great wash for little ones. It is very gentle, but cleans nicely. It also has a pleasing scent that is not too strong. I love that it has the added benefit of the soothing properties of oatmeal. My favorite wash & shampoo for little ones!
...

My pediatrician recommended Cetaphil wash for my toddler with eczema........after I had been using the Aveeno wash for quite some time. The Cetaphil could not compare to the Aveeno at all. So I am a firm believer in the Aveeno baby washes over the doc recommended brands. It also works well with the Aveeno oatmeal bath to soothe flair-ups......I will always be an Aveeno buyer!!! ...

Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo 8 fl. oz.

Aveeno Baby Wash & Shampoo is one of the many Aveeno baby products I use due to the gentle nature of their products.

This product can be used for washing hair and as a soap product for a baby's entire body. It is a tear-free formula, however, I still try to keep the product out of the baby's eyes because I have tested the product on my own eyes and it does irritate them slightly.

The oat kernal extract within the wash and shampoo is beneficial if your baby has dry skin. My son had eczema and we used this as his baby wash as recommended by his pediatrician.

The 8 fl. oz. bottle I purchased lasted almost six months and I used it liberally each time I bathed my son. Granted, I did not bath him everyday due to his dry skin but the lather really does go a long way.

The bottle is easy to use and has a push-down opening cap so you don't have to struggle with opening the product while you are trying to bathe your baby.

I am not a fan of highly fragrant soaps...
...

My daughter started suffering from eczema as a result of her allergies. We went through the house switching everything to all natural products to keep it under control. The only thing that made an impact was the Aveno body wash and lotion. It's scent isn't anything to write home about, but it it works really well and is definately good for the skin. I wouldn't use this if she didn't have skin issues (because of the cost) but it's definately worth it to keep her comfy and itch free....

Aveeno products are great for babies with dry skin. Two of my children use this product and it makes their skin much softer. It has a very light fragrance, light lathering, and easy on the eyes. My son has light excema and it even helps with that....

I love this product. I have tried lots of different baby washes, I do love the smell of some other ones, but this smelled good and was more natural. I wanted something that wouldn't leave my baby's skin dry and yucky. I had tried a few others, not to mention names, and my baby ended up with huge dry patches all over his legs and tummy. I tried this and his skin is getting SOOOO much better. I would definately reccommend this to all my friends. In fact this is what they would be getting from me at a babyshower. Try it, you will love it and feel better about what you are putting on your baby at the same time....
