I have three three children with eczema and I've tried many products on the market but none compare to Aveeno soothing relief creamy wash. It does not irritate their skin. Washing with Aveeno soothing relief helps to hydrate the skin and keep the moisture in after a bath. Its frangrance free and hypoallergenic with no harmful additives to irritate or dry out the skin. Its even gentle enough to use when my 5 month old started showing signs of eczmea.

I place a tiny amount on my hand and wash into the skin. It goes on thicker than most soaps and its rich and very creamy. It has a nice thick feeling when you clense baby's skin and being that it tear free it won't irrate the eyes, either . You want to wash quick and rinse well with luck warm water. I've used Aveeno over the years and this is the best product that I've found for washing and not drying the skin out.
...

lorderica says "I would be lost without it!" about Aveeno Soothing Relief Creamy Wash 8 oz For Baby

My son has what we refer to as "angel skin" because at 7 months, his skin is still too sensitive to 90% of all products for babies. Cudos to Johnson & Johnson for coming up with a product that works for more than just one skin type.

The average J&J baby products are too heavy with frangrance and chemicals to achieve that "new baby smell" and it is actually all wrong for the newborns. I accidentally used the J&J gentle soap on my DS and his skin reacted in such a way that I almost panicked. His father turned and washed his skin with the Aveeno Soothing Creamy Wash and afterwards applied the Aveeno Soothing Creamy Lotion on him with a little hydrocortizone and VOILA; he was all better within the hour.

My home and car are all stocked well with the Aveeno wash for everything from diaper emergencies to nighttime bathing. His skin looks amazing and my nerves are intact. We would be lost without Aveeno.
...

Aveeno Soothing Relief Creamy Wash For Baby a great product for children with very dry skin or eczema. The Aveeno brand is known for using colloidal oatmeal in its products to retain moisture. Oatmeal is sometimes recommended as a home remedy for chicken pox or other "itchy" conditions, like dry skin. Aveeno's Soothing Relief Creamy Wash works well on my baby and my 5-year-old. As much as the two of them move around during bath time, the tear-free formula works wonders.

The bottle advertises the skin would be moisturized for 24 hours, but I recommend using lotion or baby oil after the bath. Something most body washes and soaps don't advertise is that hard water (water with heavy traces of minerals) reduce the moisturizing effectiveness of the product. Furthermore, hard water causes the soap to form a film on your skin. For really dry skin, you may consider first investing in a water softener. ...
