Well Well....This product was cool a while back and it certainly works and works good BUT both the battery and the unit dont hold up. In a relatively short period of time I bought 5 of these and they were dropping like flies. They just dont last. I have a tough time finding a great canopener and my basement shelves can prove it but I just found one and so far it is great and it is by West End. This hands free unit started as a five but ended as a 3...It does work well....Another point about this is that when you open a can of tuna fish or something like that, it takes the rigidness out of can and make the can hard to deal with and transport
...

I bought the One Touch can opener, because I thought it would be easy to use with one hand. My neighbor had warned me against buying it, but I got a good deal on it and tried it anyway. It was easy to use with one hand, but it never opens a can on the first try. I have to restart it several times, before it opens the lid enough for me to twist off the lid. It usally leaves a little of the lid still stuck to the can, so I have to twist it off. It is supposed to break the seal between the lid and the can, but all it usually does is make a mess. I open very few cans, so I still use it occasionally. It uses AA batteries, and mine doesn't seem to go through alot a batteries. I don't use it on cans that I need to drain, like tuna. Remember, this cuts on the side of the can. I use this on cans that I don't want to wait for, so I just come back by the can and keep restarting. After about three restarts, I can get the lid off! During a power outage, I'm glad I have this. ...
...

Never did I think that I would believe any ad on tv. I saw the

ad for the one touch battery operated can opener and thought to

myself, "that's too good to be true." Probably won't work the

way that they show it on tv. Have seen them on sale in stores,

but the price was always $19.99, a bit pricey for me. But my

husband has arthritis in his fingers and sometimes has trouble

trying to operated the electric can opener and the hand held

ones were totally out of the question. So bought one for his

Birthday gift. Strange gift to give, but necessary in my opinion.

And it worked, it worked beautifully. You just put it on any

size can and press the button and around it goes, all by

itself. We have not found any kind of can that it will not

open and it leaves a very neat edge. Doesn't cut the top

of the container but on the side, so really no dangerous

metal to cut your fingers. The battery has lasted over a year

and we have had no problem with the opener ever since

we got it. Would recommend...
...

The One Touch Can Opener is the last can opener you'll ever buy. It opens any can small, medium or large quickly and easily. Unlike conventional can openers, the One Touch cuts beneath the lid, not through the top, so the sides of the lid will be smooth with no sharp, dangerous edges. At About 6" long, it fits easily in a drawer for storage....

On the whole, I do like this can opener -- but there are a couple of negatives to note. It says 'one touch' to get the thing going; it's never been less than three pushes on the start button. It works, mostly, going around the can rim until it turns itself off, and most of the time the can top really is removed. Not always; about 1 out of 4 times, the lid is still fastened to the can and more action is needed. When it does work, however, it's great; you can get it started, go do something else while it scoots around, and just lift the lid off with the magnet when you're ready to dump what's in the can. Easy to store, easy to use, and worth the money. I just wish it was a bit more dependable. ...

When we saw the one touch can opener, we were so excited! Who doesn't love this premise? We had to have one and went out to Wal-Mart and purchased one. When we got home, however, the one touch can opener we bought didn't work. It would only cut the label on the can, and no matter how we positioned it, or repositioned it, it simply would not cut the can open. So, we took it back and exchanged it for another one touch can opener. When we got this one home, it didn't work either. It just wouldn't turn on to cut anything! We tried different batteries, no luck! We read the directions and tried every conceivable solution, and it still wouldn't work! Our experience with the one touch was terrible, and I would encourage you to save your money and buy a regular can opener or the old-fashioned hand-held can opener. The one touch is a piece of garbage, and that's where ours rests, in the garbage!
...

If you have had it with those great big on top of the counter can openers, then this is for you. I love my One Touch Can Opener. I received it as a gift from my step mother. She has had one for several years and if she likes it then anyone would. I just set this opener on my can and press the big black button and walk away. It always starts and stops by it self and the top is totally removed. Just be careful of the can edge so that you don't cut your fingers. I never have and that says a lot, becaue I tend to be a little accident prone. I can't say enough about this product, except, try it! It's great. Oh, by the way it is 1 year old and still on it's first set of batteries.
...

Having little counter space in my kitchen, I found the one touch can opener to be ideal. It is not much larger than a manual can opener, yet so much easier on your hands. If you usually use an electric can opener, the advantage of the one touch is you don't have to worry if there is a power outage. Also the One Touch leaves no sharp edges. I fully recommend it....

Works really well on regular size cans. The smaller the can the harder to open. Small cans like tomato paste is impossible to open. The reverse works well if it gets stuck. Make sure you have fresh batteries in gadget because it's a bear to get it open without spilling the insides of the can if you run out of juice. Is still pretty good for people with arthritis....

The One Touch can opener works great until the battery goes dead in the middle of opening a can. It is so hard to turn the screw, as the directions say to do when it jams, the screw striped out as I turned it. I managed to free the can from One Touch after a struggle. However, now the screw is striped and I don't know what I would do if I needed to free a stuck can again. The one touch is more like one use. When it jams throw it away. There is another brand at CVS that may be worth trying out....
