I bought the Shark Steam Mop and was a disappointed. The pads don't pick up a lot and they really don't come clean when you wash them. They also push the dirt around. I was really excited to use something without chemicals around for my boys, but ended up being disappointed.

I recently bought the Shark Steam Mop. I was excited that Walmart had them so cheap ($80) and decided to buy one. Naturally, I got home and had to try it out! It was super simple to put together and use! I filled it with water and within 30, I had billows of steam! Woo Hoo! I have a medium size kitchen/dining area with a stick on tile floor (came with the house...I didnt have it installed). I proceded to steam clean a small section of my floor...Just gonna test it out..not do a full on cleaning session.

Before I go any further, let me say that I mop my floors twice a week with Pinesol and put a coat of Future floor polish on every two weeks. I have a small family of 4 at home and 3 poodles. I have a very bad back from an auto accident and staying in a bent or prone position puts me in severe pain. With that being said....

The handle on the Shark was long. Loved that! I did not have to stay in a bent position to mop! No back aches using this mop!

Wow! I love my Shark Steam Mop! My house has laminate and tile floors throughout and this is exactly what is needed to keep them in the best shape! Even my grout lines look great!

Sticky messes are no match, as are crayon marks and even markers! This little mop cleans them all up.

I have two dogs and two cats. Last year, I lost a dog to bladder cancer. Due to the cancer, she often had 'accidents' in the house. This mop would make quick work of not only cleaning the floor, but sanitizing it as well. There is no odor of urine left behind, just a clean chemical-free odor-free room!

I have actually rubbed the steam mop over my area rugs, but without the little pad on it, to let the steam deodorize and clean the rugs. It works great, getting out any odors and refreshing the fabric like new! This is truly one of the best investments I've made and I would hightly recommend it.

Moms of little kids should especially consider buying one. It is quite the time saver!

The first time I used my Shark Steam Mop I had to use both sides of the mop. I was mortified at how dirty my supposedly "clean" floor was! After mopping with the Shark Steam Mop my floor absolutely sparkles. This is a fabulous floor cleaning machine. It's easy to use and I love that you can be on top of a sticky or messy spot and "pump" the mop for more steam to get the grime up. I do lots of cooking and baking so my floor can get messy. The Shark Steam Mop makes quick work of the floor. Love it, love it, love it!

My only caution is that I would recommend using distilled water instead of tap water. Also I only have vinyl flooring so I have no experience as to how it would be on any other surface.

I bought the Shark Steam Cleaner really hoping it would make cleaning our linoleum and ceramic floors easier, but was very disappointed!! The cord is too short, won't reach across my kitchen, needs a larger water compacity and thought that the handle was not of the best quality!! Kitchen floors probably get the dirtiest, you reallly have to go over stains several times before it starts to get it up.The pads don't have enough capacity that after a short usage they start streaking the floors. After using it for about 4 months first the screws that hold the handle together broke then the pole at the base broke! So I definitely will NOT buy another Shark Steam mop this model or the newer pocket model!

Shark Steam Mop. Handle broke off, not once, but twice in my hand. Very Very flimsy. I contacted the warranty dept. for replacement part...they sent me the totally wrong part. I called again. And agin I gave them the model # and described the mop exactly. He assured me I was going to get the correct replacement part...and again they sent me the EXACT wrong part as last time. Idiots. My husband fixed the mop himself...he's very handy...but the mop handle broke again (in a different spot than my husband fixed) so I put the mop where it belongs...in the trash. What a peice of junk the Shark Steam mop is. Also, for the mop to "sanitize" your floor, you need to mop very, very slowly.

The Shark Steak Mop Vacuum cleans and sanitizes. Because it uses steam to clean, it kills germs quickly. I purchased mine at Target for about $89.00. It uses regular water which makes it convenient. It is lightweight and easy to use and the floors dry quickly. No water puddles like using a regular mop. It would be nice if it had a scrubber attached for those hard to remove food stains, especially in the kitchen. I have not tried it on my rug yet, but plan to do so soon. I'll keep everyone posted. I do like the fact that it is easy to use but the mop pad never seems to get clean when washed. I would like the pads to be tossed and use a new one everytime to be sure the floors are clean which is the advantage of the Swiffer Mop. One of the major advantages of the Sharp Steam Vacuum Mop is that it heats up quickly . There is usually enough steam to clean the kitchen and dining room. It doesn't really clean the vinyl as deeply as I would like as it has a pattern...

I recently purchased the Shark steam mop hoping it would make my cleaning time quicker and easier, not to mention I wouldnt have to buy chemicals. Well since buying it I have only used it three times simply because it doesn't take care of grime at all. My daughter had spilled juice on the floor and it dried so I tried to use the Shark on it and it didnt work. I ended up having to scrub it with a mop. One thing I will say is that its good for going over already mopped clean floors because it does take away the streaks and it could be good for freshening up quickly and it did dry up quickly. The long cord is nice and having multiple pads with different textures with it is nice too though it didnt seem to make a difference which one I used, plus it was ready to use in just about a minute. Another fault that I found is that sometimes it would steam a lot while others it barely steamed at all.

I am glued to the television when new products come out, but don't want to pay what they are asking for them on television, plus shipping and handling. I wanted the "Shark Steam Mop" since I saw it advertised.

One day while scanning the sunday paper, I saw this steam mop in the Target ad. The price still wasn't low enough to suit me. For about a month and a half I looked at this product everytime I went to Target. After looking it over for about the 10th time I saw there were also pad replacements being sold and I took the plunge.

Could not wait to use this machine. Very simple to put together. Comes with measuring cup, funnel and an attachment so you can use it on carpet. Used it first on the tile in the hallway between living room and kitchen. Did not see much of a difference, but the floor did feel different. Felt clean! Like squeaky clean! The pad on the bottom definitely got up dirt. You figure the hot steam has to be sanitizing the floor, but with going back over it with dirt on...

I was at my wits end. I had just starting moving into my house and with all tile floors. They were disgusting. Deep ground in dirt. I tried mopping but that only spread the dirt around the floor and never got it clean. I was shopping one day and I found the Shark Steam Floor Cleaner. What a dream!! Easy to use, cleans up the deep dirt, and the price for it is a good one. It definitely does the job that it says it does. I have a cat and was told that the Swiffer's weren't good for pets that were around because of the chemicals. There are no chemicals with the Shark. When a pad gets dirty put it in the laundry. It comes with two pads. You can buy extras for around $20 for two pads. This product gets an A+ from me!

I purchased the Shark Steam Pocket Mop recently and absolutely love it. I actually purchased the original Shark steam mop first and the very same day I came home and saw the ad for the new Shark Steam Pocket Mop. I went ahead and tried the original steam mop to see if I'd like it...and I did. I agree with the other reviews in regards to the small water tank, flimsy handle and short extension cord on the original steam mop but I thought it cleaned wonderfully. I use hairspray in my bathroom every morning and after a while it builds up on the floor. I have vinyl floors and have used the Swiffer Wetjet for several years. I could never get the hairspray buildup off with the wetjet. The steam mop took it off in just a few passes. I also have a tight spot next to my stove that had some grease buildup from when I fry foods. The wetjet never removed the grease no matter how much cleaner I used. The steam mop removed all of the grease in no time. Even my husband was impressed...

i saw the infomercial for this product and thought it couldnt possibly work as good as it does on tv.....but im shocked to say it does! cleaning floors has always been a chore for me...so i gave in to temptation and ordered it..it far surpasses all my expectations...i have hardwood and tile floors downstairs and it cleans them extremely well....and i can just toss the dirty pad in the washer.....it also makes clouds of steam so i feel like the floor really is being sanitized as they claim....very well designed and easy to maneurver...long cord is very convenient...one fill up of water tank cleans my whole downstairs.

The Shark steam mop is the best present that I ever received! This product does what it claims to do, and it makes a tough and ucky job easy and much more enjoyable. I used to dread mopping my floors - it was one of my least favorite chores. But it is not something I dread anymore. The Shark steam mop makes mopping easier, and it also cleans better, killing germs with its powerful steam. Now that I have children in the house, I feel better about a mop that uses hot steam to kill germs; I do not have to worry when little babies crawl on the floor, or better yet, eat something off the floor! I would recommend this to the busy housewife, the working woman, the weary mother...this product is for all women! My floors almost always are clean now all because of a wonderful new product that has made my house cleaning days much easier and more enjoyable. The Shark steam mop is a product that you have to try!

Let me start by saying, the idea of the steam mop was very attractive to a busy mom like myself. With that said, my husband got this for me and initially I loved it, however, when I cleaned the mop heads after the first use (as per the directions) they never worked the same again. They were initially easy to move across the enamel floor and after cleaning they were hard to push and then they whole head of the mop would flip when I would pull back on the mop. This is very aggravating so you end up with maybe 2-3 out of the 5 mop heads that actually work more than one time. Then you have to pay over $30 (half the price of the mop itself) to order new mop heads and who's to say they will work more than one time. In the ads they shouldn't say "reusable" mop heads because of this and they really shouldn't charge so much to replace them when now they have come out with the new mop with the mop heads that wrap around the mop. How does that help someone who has the older model. ...
