I love this item better then a crock pot..it cooks rice and everything else.

This rice cooker is one of my favorite rice cookers that I use when I'm cooking for myself only. It's a small cooker, but it gets the job done right. I have never had a problem with any of these; the rice cooks right just about every time. Of course, that also depends on the correct proportion of water to rice you put in. Otherwise, assuming I measure correctly, the rice is always tasty! This is also a great way to steam vegetables, meats, and other things. The only set backs to this rice cooker is the fact that it has an automatic shut-off/warmer, so if you want to cook the rice longer, you can't because the button will pop back to warming as opposed to staying on the cooking button. I tried to make congee (rice porridge) one time, but the cooker kept popping back to the warming side, and I just got frustrated and gave up. So, this is a cooker that should only be used for simple rice cooking and steaming. Cleaning up is pretty simple as well since the metal pot slides...

The Aroma Rice Cooker - 7-Cup - ARC717-1G is a good buy, it is afforadable and practical. It's very good for cooking rice as well and steaming veggies. My husband likes to make corn in the top try and the come out perfectly...it's super easy to use, if my husband can do it anyone can....

We got one for christmas. Actually we got a biiger one, but besides the size its all the same. One button cooking, it doesn't get better than that. Put in the rice, put in the veggies add water and boom its dinner time. I think this is one of those counter top items we will use for a very long time. Go get one and cook something good!...

I purchase this for my daughter as a gift. Turns out the whole family uses it. It is a great cooker, good for single servings to 7 servings. Cooks the rice in about 20 minutes and is always at perfection. I have done Jasmine and brown rice. Both came out perfect. Only complaint is that the rice does have a tendency to stick to the bottom. It doesn't burn but you will have the bottom rice stuck. Sometimes cleaning takes a bit of elbow grease to get it unstuck. Other than that this is a great little cooker. Easy to use and produces great rice....

I just recently bought the AROMA rice cooker and I cant believe I have lived without it. Its easy to use and cleans beautifully & easily. I highly recommend it...

I have always used the Aroma Brand Rice Cooker. When my daughter got married, she
didn't get one. I had two, so I gave her my old one. She still has it and uses it as much
as I do!! We love the ease and speed of making rice in this rice cooker. I also use it to
steam vegetables, it is GREAT for that as well!!...

A rice cooker is one of the best things that could happen in cooking. I used to be able to cook decent rice, but somewhere along the way, I lost my touch. A rice cooker is set it and forget it convenience. When the rice is done cooking, it automatically sets to keep warm, so if you forget about it cause you got caught up tending to the kids or playing video games or just plum forgot you even cooked rice, no problem....

I am very happy with the rice-maker, one thing to mention, is when you close the top, before cooking, it does not click shut, it broke pretty soon after, maybe 6 months after I bought it. However, I still cook with it, and it still turns our perfect.

I recommend it, because rice is an affordable staple, which every household can use to compliment an entree, and vegetable. I like to make fried rice the next day, with the leftovers, so it really feeds you well, and streches your food budget.

My son gave me one of these Aroma rice steamers for Xmas one year in red to match my kitchen. At first it sat there matching the decor then I finally tried using it and now use it at least twice a week! It's a must have for working moms like me....

I didn't even know things like this existed until my wife, who just recently immigrated here from China, insisted that we go out and buy one. We shopped various stores and found only a few models available and settled on this one based on it's rather low price and desireable features.

I must say I was rather impressed with how easy it is to use and how good the rice tastes in comparison to all that boil-in bag/instant rice I had been eating for years. It does take longer for the rice to cook than the above type but definetely worth waiting that little extra time.

She also uses it for cooking other types of Chinese dishes, with other ingredients such as couscous, or other grains. Not to my liking but she loves it and it keeps her from complaining too much about how she misses the food from China.

Saves alot of time. Follow measurements, push to start and forget about it while you finish the

this is a wonderful cooker i use mine as much as i can. cooks just right...
