My husband had no idea what to buy me for Christmas this last year. He asked some co-workers for advice and they asked him what I liked to do and he said that I liked to cook. Someone recommended a rice cooker and thought that was a great idea. So he got me the Aroma 8 cup rice cooker.

Now I have never had trouble cooking rice the normal way, but I thought it might be fun to use. I had no idea how easy it would be to use, and how much more I would begin cooking rice.

The Aroma 8 cup rice cooker comes with a one cup measuring cup and a rice spoon. It also has a booklet that tells you how to use the unit and how to measure things out. You can make from 2 to 8 cups of rice, which of course increases in size when cooked.

The directions are in Spanish, English, and French. Unfortunately there are not any ric recipes included, that would have been nice. There are tips however on how to do certain things for different rices, like some you might want to rinse or soak so that the...
...

I'm very happy with my Aroma rice cooker. I badly needed a replacement and found this one reasonably priced at Costco. My old cooker had a terrible problem of rice sticking to the bottom which make half the rice crunchy. This cooker is non-stick and cooks so evenly. It has separate functions for cooking white rice, brown rice, or quick rice. There is also a warming option.

A couple of pluses that I really love about it is that you can steam vegetables at the same time as cooking rice (or even by itself, just put water in the bottom) and you can use it as a slow cooker! It comes with a recipe book with recipes such as: corn bread, tortilla soup, stew, quesadillas , etc. It's amazing. I would have never thought that I would be able to cook those sorts of things in it. It's very versatile!!!

Clean up is easy also. It says to hand wash the pot, but it's removable and I've put it in my dishwasher; it seems fine.

The instruction manual is very easy to understand.
...

I am very pleased with my investment in this rice cooker. Although it is inexpensive, it cooks rice very well and doesn't leave a mess at all. It's very easy to clean afterwards and very easy to prepare. I also love the built-in timer that allows you to set it up to 15 hours in advance. You can go to work and come home to a delicious meal; especially if you get a slow cooker to complement it. It also has a stay warm function that keeps it warm after cooking until you're able to get to it. Highly recommend!
...

The day I purchase my rice cooker was the best decision I ever made I am usually always on the go and need to make things real fast, I am able to put my rice in the cooker set my timer and be on my way, by the time I make it home from work it's ready to go on the table, I dont have to wait to have my meals I use to eat dinner very late but with my rice cooker I no longer have to do that. I also like the rice cooker because even a child can use it, my children no longer have to wait on me to make dinner they can put it in the cooker and make it for themselves. I believe everyone should own one of the rice cooker they would not regret purchasing this gaget, it will also save them alot of time in preparing meals, seeing it can make other things as well. great piece of machine I love it
...
