One of my must have products in the home Arm & Hammer Baking Soda is an inexpensive powder that gives me lots of choices when it comes to how I use it. The funny thing is no matter what I use it on or how I use it, I am rarely disappointed.

Where do I use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and what does it do for me?

use it on the carpets to deodorize
bathrooms: mix with water and lemon juice to use as a cleaning paste less toxic than Ajax or Comet and more effective (uses on sink, countertops, toilet bowls, showers and tubs)
place in fridge to keep it smelling fresh
sprinkle in trash cans to absorb liquids as well as fight odors
combine with other ingredients to make all natural cleaning products from silver tarnish remover to cleaning out your garbage disposal
whiten teeth
treat insect bites, stings and burns

While Arm & Hammer Baking Soda wouldn't be my first choice if stranded on a deserted island, it is definitely my first choice for many household cleaning and personal health...

Baking soda (of any brand) is a household no-brainer, aside from the obvious use in baking, the countless ways this natural product can be utilized is nearly limitless. Folks, Arm & Hammer's Baking Soda is one of the oldest and most versatile natural cleaners on the market today. You can find huge lists online of 101 uses for baking soda, etc. It can be used for baking, deodorizing, cleaning, scrubbing, bee sting therapy and toothpaste. The list goes on and on.....

I love adding Arm & Hammer's Baking Soda to my liquid dish washing detergent while washing dishes by hand. It adds a natural soap-enhancing quality, plus some scrubbing power as well.

I also use it sometimes with hydrogen-peroxide to be a natural teeth whitener, just don't swallow it--it does taste yukky--but works great!

The most important aspect to cleaning with Arm & Hammer's Baking Soda is that it is a natural, biodegradable, eco-friendly cleaner--and that is important to me!

I just wanted to comment on the many uses of baking soda. It is very useful in the kitchen and bathroom. It cleans pots and pans and the whole bathroom. I don't have to worry about toxic fumes or the strong odors while cleaning and if I make a paste of baking soda and water and put in on hard to clean pots and pans and in the bath tub it does wonders in cleaning. Best of all it's cheap and and safe to use. I love it! ...

I started using arm&hammer baking soda in my refrigerator because my mom did...and her mom did, etc. It keeps the fridge fresh and absorbs all the odors like magic. But...only recently did I learn all the other things its good for. You can brush your teeth with it, you can add it to your laundry, it even absorbs household odors. Its so versatile!

I'd never use any other brand. Thank you Arm and hammer for a fantastic product!

I have been using Arm & Hammer Baking Soda for many years and most of the other members covered the uses of it.

I try to use environmentally safe items over chemicals and drain cleaner is on the top of that list.

I simply take the used boxes of Arm & Hammer Baking soda from the freezers and fridge and sprinkle them into all the drains in the house. I follow up by adding white vinegar until it starts to foam up, I let it do its thing for a few minutes and then flush the drains out with water.

This not only freshens the drains but it helps to prevent the clogs without using chemicals. What a great way to extend the use of the used up baking soda too!

Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. Is there any other brand? It's a family tradition in our household. Although Arm & Hammer Baking Soda is the best for your baking needs, we use A&H for way more reasons than just baking. My grandfather used it as toothpaste mixed with salt his whole life and never had a cavity. Almost everybody knows that if you put an open box of A&H in your refridgerator and freezer it absorbs the odors to help keep foods tatsing fresh. And when it is time to change out the box you pour A&H down the kitchen and bathroom sink drains to make them smell better too. Try making a paste of A&H with just a few drops of water to clean stains and get rid of sticky build-up on the inside of Tupperware and plastic bowls and containers. We also buy Arm & Hammer Baking Soda in the gallon size bucket to help the PH balance in our swimming pool and to add to our laundy routine.

I would have to agree with the comment about cleaning your hair. I also agree with it cleaning your teeth. To double the whamy on your teeth mix it with poroxide... you will get whiter teeth with out all the cost. I use to run an animal rescue... arm and hammer is great and safe to clean up after every kind of pet. I have added it to kitty litter to keep it smelling fresh.

I am a truck driver and can afford to buy hiogher priced cleaning products, but I am a value shopper and I like it when I can get so many uses out of one product for such a low price.

thru the years this product has maintained its great quality. cleans odors from the fridge and freezer. cleans and make clothes smell fresh. general purpose cleaner for the house....

I have two beautiful dogs in my home. And while I love them dearly, they are dogs, and sometimes, they smell like dogs! The thing is, I refuse to let my house smell like dogs. I prefer that if someone were to come to my home, they wouldn't even know we had dogs in the house unless they saw them. I am, as my husband says, kind of obsessive about it. BUT, my oldest dog, a 9 year old Border Collie, has allergies. I have to be very careful about what I spray or burn around him. He starts sneezing and it's just too hard on him. So, candles are out. Most air freshener sprays are out as well! But, my husband read somewhere that if you sprinkle just plain Arm & Hammer baking soda on your carpet before you vacuum, it will eliminate pet odor and not be harmful to your pets OR their allergies. IT WORKS! We vacuum EVERYDAY with it, not only for the odor, but, both of our dogs shed....A LOT. And, the house smells as fresh as....well, not dogs!
It's a cheap, safe way to keep your house smelling dog free....even......

I personally love a a product that can be used for everything. Arm & Hammer Baking soda can be used for a ton of things from baking, to freezers, to a laundry booster, to swimming pools and mixing it with other things can unclog drains. What more can you ask for? I think everyone should have atleast one box in their house and if you hit the local dollar stores you can usually get a nice size box for a decent price....

Baking soda has got to be the best household item everyone needs in their house. Not only for cooking and killing odors. This product can be used in SO many ways it is really an unbelievable product. Doesn't taste great but it makes the perfect anti-acid reducer and toothpaste...if you ran out. But what I recently used it for that was awesome was that I splattered grease on a new shirt and rubbed baking soda on the spots right away. I washed and sweater and It took the grease right out and I still had a new sweater. A must have in your home!...

I've tried the store brands, etc. For the cooking it seems to do what it "should" do, never does it NOT Work. And, the cleaning power of it is super too....
