I originally bought this after I got a tattoo. My tattoo artist recommended Aquaphor while my skin was going through the "healing process." It worked extremely well. I had minimal peeling and healed up - no problems!

After using it on myself, I had nearly an entire jar left unused, so I decided to use it on my baby's bottom. Again, I was more than pleased. Since it's clear, I didn't have to worry about any residue on my hands or anywhere else. A little bit of this stuff goes a long way. It cleared up his diaper rash in a jiffy.

My baby also has very dry skin on his face and his cheeks get chapped really easily. I put a dab of this stuff on his face and rub it all over and I can instantly see a difference. Obviously, I use it continually in the winter time but I use so little that it doesn't make a huge dent in my budget. Another plus, there's no greasy or oily residue on his little face. It just feels soft and looks healthy, not overly shiny or glossy.

At first, it seemed a little pricey...

Aquafor lotion was originally recommended by our Pediatrician for our son's eczema. I loved the lotion so much, that I use it too!

My son has a very mild case of eczema. He mostly gets dry patches on his skin during the changes of the seasons. (From winter to spring and from summer to fall) Our pediatrician told us to try Aquafor lotion a couple times a day on any dry patches. His skin cleared up within days!

Now we use Aquafor after his baths to seal in moisture and keep his skin soft and hydrated. The lotion goes on smoothly. It is nice and thick, you can feel it moisturizing his skin.

I also love this lotion and will use it all the time. My hands get dry in the winter and putting a little Aquafor on them before bedtime really softens them up.

We use this lotion on our infant straight from the bath, too. I have even used it on her diaper rash!

Aquafor lotion is pricey compared to other lotions. However, this is the only lotion that actually works, so for us the price...

Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment Jar 14 oz

This is great! It is more than worth the money! Our baby had a bad rash, bleeding in spots. A few friends suggested Butt Paste, tried it but didn't take the rash away. Aquaphor is what the doctor recommended and it worked great. I lathered it very thick and even put clothes on her so it stays. It is a little expensive but since it works so well i wouldn't even mind paying more, because with out this and her medications I think she would only be more miserable!! Also, once her face was extremely chapped and red, I applied Aquaphor, and in less than 24 hours there was a huge difference! Within another day her baby soft skin was completely restored! This works perfectly fine in extreme cold winters where I stay in Michigan. I wish I found this sooner, but I'm so glad I have it now. This product is awesome and I would recommend this to all the mums out there to try this once before buying any other rash cream product.

My son has frequent eczema outbreaks and I have to constantly moisturize his skin to keep it from getting worse. A friend of mine told me to try Aquaphor by Eucerin.

I picked up a tub of it for about $15 and opened it, expecting it to be similar to the Eucerin cream that also comes in a tub. I found a tub full of what looked like Vaseline. It was greasy and didn't help my son's skin any more than if I had put Vaseline on him, which we frequently do. Vaseline is only a fraction of the price.

The only difference I could see from regular Vasaline was a few added inactive ingredients, such as, mineral oil and lanolin alcohol. I should have read the back of the tub before buying it to realize the only active ingredient in it was petroleum.

The main reason I am not a fan of Aquaphor is because of the price. If it had produced better results I may be more apt to refer this to a friend, but it seems to be the EXACT same as Vaseline.

I often use this product on my daughter's cheeks in the winter, as they chap easily from the cold, blustery weather. I also use this when she gets a rash from teething, and for all uses, this product quickly heals chapped and irritated skin. An added bonus is that our doctor highly recommends it, as it is all natural and safe if it were to get on baby's hands and thus into her mouth. It is not harmful if swallowed and the consistency makes it really stick to the surface on which it is applied. Although this product can be rather pricey, it is worth the money and will get the job done on the first use. ...

I'm a mother of two.And a childcare provider.So I have seen more than my fair share of very bad rashes.Have seen four kids go through teething and you know how quickly the diaper rash can come about when babies are teething. I have been using this product on my son since he was 5 months and he is now 14 months. He had very dry skin and was prone to breaking out in rashes. The doctor suggested this ointment and we have been using it twice a day and his skin is perfect. It keeps him well moisturized and very smooth. We will continue to use this product even though it is pretty expensive to keep our son's skin nice and keep him comfortable...

I was given this as a sample after the birth of our son. I honestly, do not see the benifit to this product. It looks, feels and smells like vasoline. I say use vasoline and save yourself a ton of money....

I love this product! I got a sample of it when I left the hospital. After 3 months, my daughter started developing signs of diaper rash. I immediatley got the aquaphor out and applied it to the chapped areas. I made sure to use a generous amount. Anyway, the next morning, the area wasn't chapped anymore. Aquaphor did the trick, like magic. I won't buy anything else!

Well i would ike to say that this oinment is good due to the fact my sister baby had a rash that just wouldnot go away . Decide "hey" maybe we should try this its a bit more but may work better than what we were using . Gues what? it actually made the rash subside . Seemed to have helped get the rash taken away in just a few uses By day three were shock to see that had completely made the rash almost diappear . I would recommend that some Mom's try it .

A friend recommend the regular Aquahpor to us years ago as the best "ointment" for protecting new tattoos and it really is - After 36hours of tattoo work, I wished I discovered this product from the beginning. HOWEVER, this is a review of the baby Aquaphor. When we found out I was pregnant there were a lot of decisions, including what kind of protection for our baby's bottom. I was so excited when I found out there was a baby Aquaphor product. We've been using it with our newborn and it is every bit as good as the adult version. It's effective, not smelly or greasy, and it's gentle on her bottom.

This is the only ointment that worked on my daughters ecsema, I spent tons of money on trying different products to help get rid of it and this was the only thing that worked. It may be pricey but it's WELL worth the money.

The only downside is that it leaves a greasy spot on her sheets

Works great on chapped lips for adults too!
