When my husband gave me an iPod for Christmas several years ago, my stomach dropped. My thoughts were...this is way too expensive...do I listen to music enough to own one of these?...it's going to be too complicated to enjoy...I really wanted a GC to Sephora. But I was a good sport and went through with the set up which with the help of my very savvy teen, was very easy. And I proceeded to load my many CDs onto it and then I spent the itunes giftcards on a few audiobooks and then I discovered podcasts. Sigh...I love podcasts. I can listen to talk radio, any kind I want, whenever I want, without commericals. Pure genius. I truly loved my iPod within a month but when a very serious health crisis hit me, my iPod became indispensible to my life. All of the car rides to doctor appointments, all of the waiting in the doctor's offices, my iPod was always there as a comfort, as a constant. It was such a part of my peace of mind that when I needed a 6 hour surgery, my surgical team allowed me...

While I love, love, love my iPod, it has just a few quirks. For some reason, not all selections will show up where they should. On a few occasions, a song that I know is on the iPod won't appear under song title. If I scroll down under "Purchased" music, I'll find it, but can't figure why my Ipod won't categorize it correctly under "Songs". That is about the only negative thing I can say. I have over 300 of my personal CDs completely loaded onto the machine and have purchased over 500 songs from iTunes. I have over 90 percent of my memory space still available, which blows my mind. You could buy the 80G iPod, but do you really need to? ...

It's totally worth it. I've watched two movies on it already and I listen to my music while working out and traveling. It is small and fits in my purse. Apple also sells a lot of skins for it so that it won't get damaged wherever you carry it around. The battery life is great also. It lasts for about 8 hours which is good enough for me.

I am a music lover. I was always a firm believer in CDs but have grown to realize that the iPod is SO much easier. It's small and managable. It's portable and easy to use. It's cute. And, I can carry all of my favorite music with me. It's easier than driving around with 100 different cds in the car!!

I highly suggest the iPod to any music lover.

these little beauties opend my eyes to the super fun world of high tech gadetry fun!!! i love this thing--compact enough to take any where--holds enough music to keep me occupied for hours on end--i always have pictures of my family on hand--podcasts--videos--wow!!! though i will say that they do scratch easily so get a sleeve or cover or something to protect the screen--also lacking in the instructions department but if you don't mind just playing with it to figure things out no problem--the only thing that is even slightly on the neg side for me is that once in a blue moon it has a glitch & does not want to turn off ...

In my opinion the iPod is the most convenient way to store, organize, purchase, and listen to music. When you first get your iPod all you have to do is download iTunes,which is free, then plug the iPod into the computer. From there you can purchase songs from iTunes our download songs from CDs you already have. To put the songs on the iPod you just plug it into the computer and iTunes will automatically update the iPod with all the songs that have been added since te last time it was plugged in.

I love my iPod!! I won't buy any other brand of MP3 player!

Loved this ipod until the hard drive went bad. Only lasted a couple of years. Now taking it to Best Buy to get refurbished for $120, still cheaper than a new one. Holds everything I need, videos, music, photo's, etc. Con's - durability, battery life while playing video's, screen easily scratched.

Ok, so I do love my iPod but there are a few things I don't love about it. When I first purchased it, I had a number of problems with loading the software, the screen freezing up on me, and not being able to get the battery to take a charge. Apple was less than friendly with me, but fortunately the store I bought it from agreed to exchange it. So for round two with my iPod, I had few problems until about a year in when the battery life shortened dramatically. I could only have it off of the charger for about 3 hours before it died. The Apple people told me, "This was normal," but gave me no help in fixing the problem. I have gotten used to constantly having to have a charger around in case my iPod decides it no longer wants to work, but it's so inconvenient. I use it all the time too (walking to class, at the gym, in my dorm, etc) and I absolutely love portable music, but the battery is a bit ridiculous. My roommate is having the same problem with her's....

I bought my ipod not because I listen to that much music. I am an avid book reader. I get tired of the same old songs on the radio. So I purchased an FM Transmitter for my ipod. I now download and listen to audio books in my car whenever I go anywhere. To work shopping or whatever. I no longer have to listen to the same 10 songs being played on the radio.

If you like books, it's a great way to listen to audiobooks.

I've owned an iPod for sometime now. I first had an iPod mini, which was not very good at all. I bought this iPod about two years ago, and it was still very expensive. My first broke, but I was still under my one-year warranty, so I was shipped a new one. It's never froze up or stopped working. I only have to charge it once or twice a week, and I listen to it 2+ hours a day. It's a fantastic product. I even have a few movies and pictures on it, and I have over half of my space left....

I actually have the black one...it holds all of my songs...I have over 2000 on it and alot of pictures. I love music and pictures and I can take both anywhere I want. The batter is said to last like 14 hours...but mine usually only lasts about 10 hours....

This 60GB iPod video was a gift from a boyfriend. While he didn't last very long - the iPod has remained a great thing to have on long trips. It holds so much music and video - it's really incredible. My laptop ran out of space for the music before the iPod did.

The major drawbacks are - sometimes the buttons are difficult to push. You can't really make a playlist from within the iPod. The iTunes software was crashing my PC laptop so often that I broke down and bought an iMac just so I could remain an iPod user.

Overall - I love the product but I would have bought it in white if I had a choice.

iPod user now for about two years or a little more, pairs perfectly with home computer and iTunes too. Only down side is carrying the xtras around with it, like the car to FM converter, the power cords, upgraded ear phones, airplane travel double splittler for head phones. Great extra for both watching a video or movie on the iPod on teh plane....
