The 160 classic ipod is constantly with me. I continue to dump everything into it and I have not been able to fill it up yet. The first one I had was great until it froze up and everything erased, it would happen over and over. It was after I ordered the game Peggle (which is a great game...btw), I took it to the genius bar and they couldn't fix it so they gave me a new one. That was all good and everything, but the hours I spent were gone. I did it all over again, then as soon as I put Peggle on, again, it froze and reset with everything gone, again!!!! I was upset, took it back. This time they reminded me that although it is a portable player, that it really isn't meant to be jiggled AT ALL. So, I restarted once again and left Peggle off. That has been over a year ago and I have not had a problem with the 3rd one. They do not make this model anymore. After researching the internet, many people were having this problem (minus the Peggle part...it would just constantly...
...

Jakki416 says "My iPod is my life!" about Apple - iPod Classic 160GB Media Player

I recently lost my 30G iPod with a 160G, and I absolutely love it! I've only got 3000 songs, so it's nowhere near full, but who in the world says an iPod is only for music? It has become my lifeline, and has taken the place of my flashdrive permanently.

The huge amount of Gigs makes it perfect for almost everything. I save all the pictures I take from my phone and camera on my iPod. I've been converting all of my DVD's to be compatible with the iPod and iTunes and storing them on the iPod while we move, so I can put the endless amount of DVD's in storage while still having all of my entertainment at hand. I'm a singer/songwriter, so I've saved a folder with all of my music and lyrics onto my iPod. I've saved copies of all of my school papers, as well as important emails, computer settings. You name it, I've saved it. And best of all, I still have plenty of room for more!

Investing in the 160G iPod is definitely worth it in the long run, and best of all the price is a LOT less than it...
...

jbdallas4 says "A premium product for the serious MP3 user. Great sound quality." about Apple - iPod Classic 160GB Media Player

I have to admit that I have been an avid MP3 user for years; however up until purchasing this Ipod Classic 160gb I had completely avoided Ipod and Apple all together and as you will soon read that was my loss.

Why did I buy the Ipod ? In short because I tried several different competitors MP3 players and grew very frustrated. I don’t use the headphones at all; I use my MP3 players exclusively for playing either in my home, boat or car and most every unit I tried had a very weak pre-amp section and generally bad sound. Finally I decided to try the Ipod.

The first thing I noticed was that the Ipod has a massively better pre-amp section. What this means is that when you hook up your Ipod to whatever external device you are using; you do not need to turn up the volume to nearly full blast in order to hear music at a decent level; this is something that I have found with every other MP3 player and Ipod is unique in this regard.

I must also comment on the sound quality when...
...

CaptainChristmas says "I didn't *need* it until I did... iPod Classic 160 GB" about Apple - iPod Classic 160GB Media Player

My old iPod (60GB video) went missing for about a week at precisely the same time my boyfriend was desperately looking for Christmas present ideas for me, so he bought me this fancy new iPod. Much to his chagrin, I discovered that in all of the holiday hullabaloo, my old iPod had simply fallen into a dresser drawer. Of course this was AFTER the item had been ordered and personalized.

So on Christmas, I opened up my new iPod Classic 160GB, slightly puzzled about why I needed a new iPod when my old one worked just fine. I came up with a segmentation strategy about which activities I would use my new iPod for and which ones I would use my old iPod, but once I discovered all of the new features built in, I put the old iPod back in the dresser drawer...

Undoubtedly, my favorite feature is that "genius" is built right in! Which means I can have my iPod create a playlist for me on the fly. At the gym, at my desk at work, in the car, all I have to do is pick the "root" song, and voila, 25 songs......

More space than you could ever need, so if you aren't planning on keeping a lot of movies or tv shows on it, you might want to go with the 80 GB model. More durable than it looks, I've dropped it plenty of times with no adverse effects yet. ...

droopy says "The wonderful world of IPod" about Apple - iPod Classic 160GB Media Player

The 160 Gb Ipod is something that I am glad I own. It is easy to use, produces great sound, and the video playback is outstanding. I've had no problem with the one I bought. I listen to a lot of different styles of music, and they all sound good. Itunes makes transferring songs to the Ipod device easy. I do not really like Itunes, and wish that it would sync with something other, but I can live with it. I had software that allowed me to transfer DVD to the IPod format, and the movie came out great. Very clear picture, although the sound was a bit out of sync, but the Ipod itself played it nicely. It allows you to store all your addresses and phone numbers as well. Since my Ipod is with me just about wherever I go,that is a very nice feature. I can't say it enough, but I love this little thing....

I upgraded to this from a 60 gb iPod. Loved both. The screen and display on the 160 gb Classic is outstanding. If you choose from iTunes, you can display the album cover art, and it is nice! You can search for your favourite album or song easily. Watching TV shows or a movie is nice, although the screen is small, it is so clear that it is fun. The storage is also phenomenal, I have my CD collection of over 400 stored onto it, ranging from Classical music, jazz, rock, and celtic and I still have room for various audiobooks, TV shows, movies, and photos. It comes with a few games, and although I am not a big gamer one can certainly download some fun looking ones. And while I haven't done it yet, I am planning on storing my contact info onto it as well. So, this is a great device and I use it every day. The only problem I've had is that syncing this iPod to iTunes has not been great trying to do it automatically. I have to manually do it, which took me a long time with...
...

If I would have known how useful and entertaining the I Pod is, I would have bought one long ago. I have thousands of songs on it and am very near having the entire Bible on it. I have all of the New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs. the Pentateuch and most of the History books recorded. All I lack is the Praphets. I am considering upgrading in the near future to the 180 GB version with video. I am sure that it also will be a wonderful product.....

My first Ipod and I love it. Except for the fact that I had to buy new earphones and a wall charger, this Ipod is way better than I could have imagined. It's nice being able to put any movie from my dvd collection onto this unit and watching it anywhere. I can do anything I want which is great!...
