I was a hardcore Luddite for almost 35 years. I had a rotary phone, manual typewriter, and used paper, pen, envelope, and stamp for correspondance. Then I ended up snowbound in an airport. Made a collect call to a friend to let her know I was getting into a rent car with toal strangers and should be home in two or three days. The next week my friend presented me with the $15.00 charge for the collect call and an iPhone. I know I can do anything, get anything, go anywhere now with this phone. The battery charge is long lasting and the possibilities are limitless. It doesn't matter where or how I travel, I do so now feeling safe and confident with my iPhone. While riding my bicycle, I can call for help if I get a flat. I can let friends and relatives know exactly where I am and when they can expect me. I can find a gas station when I'm near empty and somewhere I do not know at all. I can do my banking while waiting in the ddentist's office. I could write forever and still not cover all the...

My partner and I have 2 iPhones, both the first generation and the newer 3G model. Both have been a blessing for both work and personal use, we have our own business and this device allows us to send and receive email, text messages, attachments, etc. anywhere [well almost anywhere, the AT&T network has some limitations]. We also use the Apple MobileMe service, which allows us to sync our address books, email, calendars, and all apps so that anything we update on one device is pushed to the other iPhone + our iMac and both laptops.

What other device allows you to do so much, with so little problems? Well worth the cost.

Great phone other than the fact that AT&T has not supported the photo feature when being sent a photo from someone else's phone. Giant waste of time trying to go to their website to try and retrieve.

Hello Everyone,

Now although this iPhone 3G is pretty sweet, not gunna lie, it's cost is way too much. Especially with this economy. Now the 16GB iPhone is only $199, it sounds like a great deal right! But then you get the calling bill, ugh, Now that can cost a lot. Most people pay around $300 the first month, with all the apps, and free wifi that comes with it, and the calling/ texting. Now that price may go down (depending on how you manage you calling), yet it might even go up. But you have to admit... that is pretty unfair! Now I'm not saying that some people can't afford it, but trust me... I used to have an iPhone, and I traded it back in right when i got my first bill. Thats how dissapointed i was.

Another interesting flaw of the iPhone is that it has one. Just one, very, vrery fragile screen. One drop, bash, crack, spill, cut, plunge, and or hit on that screen you are pretty much screwed. The cost to fix that would be horendous! Now I don't know about you but I drop things all...

There is alot to say about the iphone in general.I really think that this is a great product,but it is very liminted. i am with verizon and i have been for over 10 years.I have no plan for changing companies BUT i do want the iphone,So if apple could make a different verison for other companies such as verizon,sprint,and so on ;this would be a great move/idea for apple.If they make there product avaiable to more people then it would be better ofr there company.Besides that, the 16gb iphone is the best 3g smartphone coming withh tons of great and helpful apps and the abbility to update when it needs to.The iphone works good with almost all ages It has the games that lote of preteens and teens like, and the tools that alot of adults can use for there jobs.Sometimes it can freze up and there are some othere problems that it can have sometimes it can have very bad reception,it is very fragile and it gets scratched up real easily.Also it is a little pricey.But eside thoose little problems...

Wow! With the apple iPhone, who needs a computer! It has the finest in technology all in this little rectangular box. I don't personally own one, however, a good friend of mine does and I have played with it many times. I am afraid to buy one because I would spend to much time messing with it. It does way too many things and is so cool. It is fun just to touch the screen and see what's next. Music, email, text, phone...it has everything. The games are a lot of fun and I could play with the phone for hours.
