Okay i would like to say that the Apple iMac is a Good computer i Enjoy it VERY much it is definatly a buy. My best friend owns a iMac and he is a mac addict he would reccoment this as 5 star.... But i would rate it as a three star because i dont like the cost of a mac very mcuh it can cost up to Five hundered- Up to 1 thousand dollars or more

The mac is a great computer though it is quick in internet, Good iwht games And smooth very Smooth, But Alot of games are created for Windows. If you are a computer gamer i would not suggest buying the mac, If you are A Coder howver the mac is PERFECT.

If you use a mac when coding it is almost certain that you wont Kill the program Or something bad happenes in windows, While using a mac it might be hard to use Some games Because alot of games are high priced because it costs alot to Make it for iMac

Honostly i would really suggest buying the imac because it is very useful in many situation where windows would fail.
...

I am a Mac addict. But, I was not ALWAYS a Mac Addict. Mac Addicts are not BORN, Mac Addicts are MADE.

After buying a couple of "PC's" and struggling with software conflicts and hardware conflicts, I bought my first Mac, an 8500, and I have never looked back.

If you want to putz and futz with your "system", maybe you want a Windows OS machine. BUT, if you want to get your work done, and if you want to have FUN and do cool things with EASE, then you NEED a Mac! No ifs, ands or buts. It's simple.

Don't be fooled by people who tell you Macs just "look good"...those are desperate words, whispered to anyone who will listen, by MicroSoft because, if people realize that they don't have to deal with the blue screen of death, crashed computers and lots of software and hardware conflicts, Mr. Softie, as Microsoft is called by some, will very very quickly lose it's market share.

Don't be fooled by people who tell you you can't do anything and everything you NEED and WANT to do on a Mac....
...

The iMac was first considered as an option for me when I realized how costly the more powerful Mac Pro towers are. Of course the Mac Pros are working with much greater components and are monstrous computers but the price is still quite high for a user who is not completely invested in their computer for their work. The iMac offered a cost effective alternative to my problem and I am very happy with the way it worked out.

People still are impressed or maybe even skeptical about how the iMac contains the entire computer in what seems to be the monitor. But think about it this way, a laptop, and very powerful ones at that are able to pack an huge amount of processing power into a small laptop body so why is it so suprising for the iMac? This fact makes the iMac a very easy to move machine that I am not afraid to use onsite for any work since all I have to do is have a desk and a power outlet to bring the whole thing with me. Also, the iMacs have grown greatly as time has passed and now are...
...

Up until recently, I had never even touched a Mac computer. All I've ever know were Dell's. However, for my birthday, my fiance bought me a 24" iMac computer. It is amazing. The graphics are awesome. It comes with some incredible software. For instance, Garage Band... allows you to record your own songs/voice/music. And iMovie, which allows you to create and edit your own movies. iPhoto, which keeps all of your photos organized by date, location, event.. it is incredible. The best thing about a Mac, for me, is that they are virus free. I don't ever have to worry about whether or not my computer is going to bog down. And my iMac is incredibly fast. Not only does it have high-tech graphics, but it has speed. It also comes with iTunes automatically installed. Most everything you need to get started is already on the computer when you turn it on. I literally did not download anything. I didn't have to install one program, everything was ready from the start. I also love the keyboard that comes...
...

When I was in high school my mom bought me a computer for christmas. It was a dell and I was so mad. I had been asking her for a apple computer for months but she thought I would like the dell better. Boy was she wrong. I had the computer for four years and for that entire time I probably had to get someone to fix it or wipe it clean at least a hundred times. I was constantly getting viruses and losing all of the pictures and files. It was the worst computer experience of my life. I bought myself a 24" Apple iMac Desktop Computer just over a year ago. I absolutely love it. I haven't had one virus. It is always reliable and extremely easy to use. There are so many different applications to use that you won't find on a PC. The size of the screen is crazy. Everyone that sees it thinks I was insane to buy one so large. However, whenever I am using this computer I am working on multiple things at one time and the large screen makes it easier. If I was going to recommend...
...

Because I am fairly computer illiterate, I have always used Macs. They are simple, intuitive and are simply immune to viruses and the breakdowns that plage PCs. My new iMac is no different.

Even though it's a newer system than on my Mac Book, it's easy enough to figure out. I've never owned a desktop (I bought this for a new internet-based business), and the screen is absolutely beautiful. It's also SO compact — no towers or anything external to take up space.

Yes, there's a problems with apps that don't like Mac, but that's their problem, not this computer's. I just work my way around that or find a different app. The best thing is, I bought this refurbished, saved $300 and still got a brand new computer. (As a disclaimer, I have NEVER bought a new Mac — they ALL have been refurbished and ran like champs.)

Plus, while it may be a bit more expesive out the box, you save with not having to buy virus avoidance programs and the like.

I know die-hard PC users will never be convinced, but...
...

When my husband first tried to convince me to buy this outrageously huge desktop, I have to admit that I was skeptical due to the size and cost. We already had two Mac laptops, so I didn't think this was necessary. But, since we didn't have a TV, this looked like a good way to buy both at the same time. It has an HD flat screen, so we end up watching movies and TV shows online, and it is fantastic. This computer is very fast, and it has great programs. I LOVE the size of the screen now. It makes it so easy to do anything online...even more than one thing online. Because the screen is the computer, it is compact, so we don't have lots of equipment all over the place. All USB ports are located on the back of the computer, which also helps keeps cords out of the way. As with all Macs, we never have to worry about getting viruses, though we do run into the occasional problem with online software or emails that don't function on a Mac. We also purchased the wireless keyboard...
...

We use a 24" iMac in our living room as a family computer/"TV". We have it connected to a home file server where a number of kid friendly movies and TV episodes are stored as separate files. With the remote control that came with the computer and "Front Row" software built into the iMac, our kids can easily browse and watch videos they want (during the time they are allowed to watch).

We also use it often throughout the day for looking up something on the Internet, searching, using Google Map for direction, etc.

When not in use, the screen saver showing photos from our various vacations and events make a really nice decoration for the room.

This is one of the best purchases we've made for the living room, and the entire family is very pleased with it. And we haven't even loaded any video games onto the iMac yet!

On the technical side, the sharpness of the screen is quite amazing. and the viewing angle is pretty wide also. The computer is also very snappy and comes with a bunch...
...

The 24" iMac is a beauty of a desktop. Its sleek design and aluminum accents make it a feast for the eyes. However, it is one powerful system. I originally purchased mine as a replacement for my broken PC. I had been wanting to make the switch to Mac for quite some time. I will never go back now.

I use the iMac for Photoshop and Graphics work mainly but it also stores my music as well. I am completely in love with this system. The only thing I wish I could change would be to have a matte screen instead of a glossy. I have found it difficult to correctly calibrate the monitor. With that said, I still get glorious results as long as watch my color management. The screen is so much brighter than a regular screen so you might need to adjust down for that. I also added additional RAM to my system. The dual core processors have run smoothly and efficiently. I do wish they would have given it more USB ports. I use a graphics tablet and several other devices. I have...
...

the Apple iMac 24 inch desktop computer is perfect for students with tight room space given the fact that you don't have to have a separate CPU unit. It clearly was designed to have a broad range of uses. From the fun of having a built in mic and camera for Internet applications. Apple makes good on its promise of keeping its sleek appearance with six USB ports wireless mouse in one of the best feature the leopard operating system included. If you still like your Windows applications you can now get built into your computer windows via the VMware. the best thing about the Mac though is the fact that to this day there has not been a single virus so you don't have to pay $200 or more yearly for virus software's. Now some might say but why get a Mac that's $2000 when I can get a PC for $500? The answer is is that you dearly will spend well over $2000 when you figure in the cost of the operating system the cost of virus protection systems cost of speakers microphones cameras and additional...
...

I have been a PC user for the past 30 years, starting with dos!!!! After my daughter purchase a mac pro for college, I was surprised with what she could do and with such ease. I was tired of having viruses and slow working "high speed" internet, and my daughter said, lets go to Apple! Within 30 minutes I was the new owner of a Apple iMac 24" and just love it! I look forward to getting on the internet in the morning with my coffee and never fear viruses anymore! Technical support is also a dream! The most friendly, tech sound people I have ever dealt with! We then went out and purchased a mac book for my husband who was using my daughters old pc laptop, which then had 57 attached viruses! He was thrilled to get it, and it hasn't left his side! He takes it everywhere, Starbucks, Panera's etc. We are also Skype users, and with a Mac it is awesome! I have not looked back since buying my iMac, and only regret that I didn't do it sooner! Thank You
...
