I got my Little iBook G4 as a wedding present 4 years ago. I LOVE mac's they have amazing programs for Media projects. Well about a year ago my house flooded while we were at Disneyland. Our neighbor's called us at around 9 pm to inform us that their was water flowing out our front door. We of course rushed home to find our downstairs in about 4 inches of standing water. My laptop was left on the floor next to my chair, I know HORRIBLE place to leave my laptop and I learned my lesson. When I picked it up water came streaming out of it, I was SO sad. I took the battery out of it and let it dry for two weeks before trying to turn it on.

Miraculously when I finally replaced the battery and turned it on, it worked just fine! And still to this day I have had no problems with it. Apple has always been the computer of choice with my whole family growing up so I Just wanted to say THANK YOU APPLE for making an AMAZING little Laptop!

I never had a laptop computer before until my sons bought us one for Christmas a few years ago and i just love this computer it is so handy to have when you need to have it close by whenever i need it.

I have always had the mac desktop computers which were nice, but they are just not as handy as having the laptop when you need to take it to another room. And i love everything about it including the free updates on computer software that apple sends to you when there is a new software for it.

And it has lots of ram for space and it also has your virus protecter so that is a wonderful thing about having a apple computer i have never had a virus and never have to worry about getting a virus.

And it has your good applications like photo shop, itunes, ichat, dictionary and dashboard just to name a few. And you can always download the new programs when they are sent to you from the apple updates.

And a couple of years ago my sons bought us the airport which is so nice to have. When you charge...

I have had the iBook G4 (IBM PowerPC based) for nearly four years now, and have not had more than a few complaints the entire time, even now when it should be giving up on me. I had heard great things about the ease of setup and use of the "new" Apples, but had not used one since back in the original days of IIEs and the original Macintosh. I was not disappointed when i got the new thing going after essentially zero setup time, and i still am not disappointed today. The only minor complaints i have had are that the keys take some serious abuse and start popping off/breaking after awhile, and that the rubber feet on the back come loose and tend to disappear. However, both of these concerns were remedied, for free, by my local Maclife store, which is just another continuation of the Apple experience. OK, one other gripe... lately Apple has started to force OS and hardware upgrades by making new items (such as Ipods) and software not backwards compatible... not a HUGE deal, but could...

I love my Mac iBook G4 laptop. I use it for web browsing, email, pictures and making CDs and DVDs. It has wireless internet so I can take it anywhere and surf the web, download stuff and check email. The reason I wanted a Mac after being a life long PC user is the extra security of virus immunity. Most viruses are written for PCs. I download music a lot so I wanted to be sure I was protected against viruses that can sometimes go with that. My daughter has a desktop PC and is always combatting viruses from downloaded music. The battery life is adequate for the way I use my computer. I use it predominately at home so it's usually plugged in. I have a small lightweight printer that is compatible with with my Mac. That is important to me because I have limited space for my computer and printer. The monitor is a little dark at times. This has not been a major problem for me. It is mostly a problem when battery is low or I have it in bright sun light. I found the transition from PC to Apple programs...

Love my Apple iBook G4. It is my soulmate - there for me any and all the time. I am in my seventies and not too computer savvy, but I can easily do what I need with this computer. It is my third Apple and won't be my last. This laptop is about 4 years old now - I got it right after they first came out. The only problem I ever had with it was that the lettering came off the first keyboard. The second keyboard had the very same problem, so back to the Apple Store once again. This time I was out of warranty, but since it was a repeat problem, the second keyboard was happily replaced at no charge to me by Apple and I have had no problems since then. I just purchased my third battery which really is not bad considering the amoount of use the computer gets. As I get older, it seems like the laptop is getting heavier, but I can't justify getting the thin air one, when there is absolutely nothing wrong with this one! Fits me like an old glove! One very satisffied Apple...

I bought my IBook through apple as a refurbished Mac when I went back to college in 2004. This computer is still going strong! I have only had to replace the battery (I should have read up on how to prolong a computer battery-not just leave it plugged in all the time--it drains the battery) and I eventually added more memory (I have all my music, pictures, papers I have written, movies and much more saved on here). I have never had a functional problem with this computer and recently purchased an iMac (desk top) and love it also. I have had many friends who love their non-apple laptops and then experience tons of problems with them. I did not want to list myself as a apple only user, but I may be a junkie now. I can't believe this computer is still functioning the way it is. I cannot recommend this computer or any other apple computer more. I love that it is so completely user friendly and reliable. Love, love, love it.

I purchased an Apple Ibook G4 and absolutely love it. The internal airport card makes it possible for me to get wifi almost anywhere. The size and weight is perfect for my home party business. The widgets available to help with my business are amazing. The dashboard is great for all the programs I use regularly as it is located directly on the desktop. There are great professionals available at Apple to help with any questions or concerns I have concerning my Mac. I find using the apple operating systems was a bit difficult at the start, but the more I used it I was able to find things much easier. My next laptop purchase will also be an Apple. I love my iBook G4. I've had it for five years now, and it can still keep up with me; for the most part. I can't even say how many times I've dropped it, dinged it, I even found it under a couch leg once... and I am using it right now! Amazing battery life if you don't restart it too often. The best part of the iBook, though, and any mac for the matter is the ability to be creative. I write and record music with the built in microphone and Garage Band, put in a couple of pre-made loops from Garage Band, and it sounds semi-professional. I actually had a song published on a various artists album that I created on my iBook. Programs also collaborate with eachother. iTunes and Garageband and iCalendar and iPhoto all work together and create customized reminders. I'm sure that there are much better computers out there in terms of speed and technology, but my iBook is perfect for me; a creative girl who frequently checks her email!

I had been looking for a new laptop for quite some time. I actually bought my Apple iBook G4 used on ebay. I had such confidence in Apple products that I knew I was purchasing a quality product. I have not had to worry about all of the online viruses that one tends to look out for on a pc. Furthermore, the possibilities are endless with an Apple computer for web design, print design and such. The apple comes with a host of programs for creating. Also the newer Apples are more compatible with microsoft programs making them more useful for office use. Finding pc's confusing to navigate, Apples streamline approach to the finder is a refreshing difference. Everything is laid out and simple to find and follow. I would recommend an Apple computer to anyone that has ever had that I want to throw my computer out the window feeling. You can find them in any price range and size making them perfect for students.

I received the Apple iBook G4 for my sixteenth birthday in December of 2005. It was my first Mac, so it took some getting used to. It did not take very long to adjust, and now I am confident I will use Apple computers from here on out. Now that it is over three years old, the iBook G4 has become pretty outdated. With the size of photo/video files these days, it has become pretty slow. However, it is still working! I'm sure if we added some RAM to it, it would run much more smoothly. I love its compact size. It is very easy to travel with. It is also very durable. It has been dropped a few more times than I would like to mention, and did not seem to suffer any damage. One of my favorite things about Apple computers is that it is very rare for them to get viruses. The files are more complex, so few people write virus files for them. This eliminates the need for pricey and somewhat annoying anti-virus software.

I purchased my ibook G4 in 2005 after graduation. 4 years later and it is still running strong. I have had to replace the battery and the charger cord a few times, but i use the computer every day and it works well.

I absolutely love my iBook G4. It's almost 4 years old and I'm still using it multiple times a day with little complain of anything. Yes, I've had it check in to the Mac Store a few times to get a new hard drive (BACK UP OFTEN), but it's been incredibly reliable as a great, functioning computer. I love that this world is becoming more compatible with Mac's, so I when I upgrade, it will definitely be another laptop....

I have owned an Apple iBook for four years and I could never go back to a Windows computer. It is easy to use, you do not need to worry about viruses, and has run completely smoothly for me. I had one problem with it and took it to the store, they sent it away - had it back in 36 hours and they even cleaned it and replaced some of the rubber stoppers on the bottom that were worn! Their customer service is amazing and I would highly recommend going Apple if you havn't already. The only thing I recommend is shelling out a bit for a warranty because then you don't have to worry at all and their customer service is well worth it!

Although I absolutely love my Mac and will never switch back to a PC now, I have to admit I've had some problems with the Ibook G4. The logic board has died on me 2x now in 3 years (I bought it April 2005), which is unacceptable in my opinion. I had the AppleCare protection plan so they've replaced it for free each time. However I've had to take it to an Apple Genius bar and they've had to mail it in for repairs each time. And that really shouldn't be happening on a computer this new. Otherwise, it is fast, sleek, and so much simpler than using a Windows PC. I will never stray from Apple!...
