I love the ease of using a Mac and I love all the desktop and graphic stuff available for them. The programs take you by the hand and do most of the work for you.

I purchased my ibook G4 in 2005 after graduation. 4 years later and it is still running strong. I have had to replace the battery and the charger cord a few times, but i use the computer every day and it works well.

I absolutely love my iBook G4. It's almost 4 years old and I'm still using it multiple times a day with little complain of anything. Yes, I've had it check in to the Mac Store a few times to get a new hard drive (BACK UP OFTEN), but it's been incredibly reliable as a great, functioning computer. I love that this world is becoming more compatible with Mac's, so I when I upgrade, it will definitely be another laptop....

I have owned an Apple iBook for four years and I could never go back to a Windows computer. It is easy to use, you do not need to worry about viruses, and has run completely smoothly for me. I had one problem with it and took it to the store, they sent it away - had it back in 36 hours and they even cleaned it and replaced some of the rubber stoppers on the bottom that were worn! Their customer service is amazing and I would highly recommend going Apple if you havn't already. The only thing I recommend is shelling out a bit for a warranty because then you don't have to worry at all and their customer service is well worth it!

Although I absolutely love my Mac and will never switch back to a PC now, I have to admit I've had some problems with the Ibook G4. The logic board has died on me 2x now in 3 years (I bought it April 2005), which is unacceptable in my opinion. I had the AppleCare protection plan so they've replaced it for free each time. However I've had to take it to an Apple Genius bar and they've had to mail it in for repairs each time. And that really shouldn't be happening on a computer this new. Otherwise, it is fast, sleek, and so much simpler than using a Windows PC. I will never stray from Apple!...

We have one of the very early iBook G4 12" 800MHz laptops that came originally with OSX 10.3, Panther operating system. We have had many other computers since we bought this iBook about seven years ago. The battery is good for abut 50 minutes of runtime now, but when new we could use this little charmer for about 5 hours.

We have recently updated the little iBook's operating system to Tiger, OSX 10.4.11 and now it operates better than ever. We also have the newest MacBook Pro. We can imagine it being the most ever used used computer in our household. The MacBook is turning out to be much more intuitive, useful and flexible for us. It's more like what a computer is suppose to be. We met with a teacher last night that bought a new iPhone just a week ago and has hooked it up to a projector to teach his students in class.

Wow! Only with an Apple.

We bought this computer for home use because I used Apple's at work. Now I work on a PC at work and would much rather have an Apple. The iBook is small, light, convenient to carry around and easy to use. It is so easy to maneaver and remove software etc. I'm very pleased with this computer. I bought an iBook G4 12inch in 2004 just before heading to college. I of course insisted on getting everything added, increased and sped up. I wanted it fast, and I wanted it ASAP. I ordered it in store with my student discount during tax free weekend and saved hundreds of dollars. It came express FedEx next day, and was perfect in every way. I had that computer for a total of just under 5 years, and not once did I have to take it in to the store for repairs. It came with everything I needed, except for Microsoft Office, but that was provided for me, and the installation of it was a breeze. I used the computer for pictures, music and school work mostly. It isnt available for sale from Apple anymore since the MacBooks came out, but if you are looking for a cheaper Apple product alternative to the MacBook and you come across one for sale online, take it! It is a great product and lasts a long long time.

I love the Leopard OS on my iBookG4 - my previous two ibooks both had the hard drives fail after 18-24 months. I think they should have lasted longer....

I have had a Mac laptop that I have used for the past 8 years. Although it has become slightly slower in the past year or so - it stills works very well. The creative programs on a Mac cannot be beat, as well as its ability to use Microsoft products. This is for the adventurous computer user who is not afraid of learning a little. Great piece of technology....

I've used this computer for four years. Every day. Almost all day. And it still works like a dream. You'll want to throw it against the wall the first few weeks you own it, mainly because you're getting used to the way a Mac thinks. Mind you, a Mac does a lot of the "thinking" for you. Once you get used to it, you'll get more work done faster than you had previously dreamed.

I have always used both Mac's and Pc's and have had Pc laptops in the past. I have a work pc laptop that was purchased around the same time and the Mac blows it away on performance. The OSX operating system is not only easy to use and maintain but very fast. I haven't even found a need to boot up my pc.

Comes loaded with great software for music and video editing. Great for home movies or podcast making.

I got a late 2004 generation ibook G4. Not only have I needed to get the power adapter replaced twice, not only was my battery recalled for having been a fire hazard, but my logic board fried, due to no fault of my own, which tends to be a problem with ibook G4, that apple refuses to awknoledge or repair gratis.

Either get a PowerBook with an extra-long warranty, or skip Apple products entirely. You don't need them....

I love my computer! When I purchased it 4 years ago, I was considered about paying more for a Mac. However, after learning how to use the Mac system, I found it to be very user friendly. Now, 4 years later, my computer is still going strong while many of my friends have had nothing but problems with their PC's. I've even dropped my computer twice and there is not even a dent. It's durability is amazing and lightweight design was easy to carry around campus. I will definitely be a mac user from now on!...
