While everyone raves about the Mac book, I find it limiting. I use it because it was provided by my employer, but find it difficult to download games.

The one positive thing I can say is that it's less prone to viruses, but basically, I find it not worth the price compared with a PC laptop, especially the fine laptops HP makes.
...

jeaniewilby says "The MacBook is the perfect size for a laptop." about Apple Macbook

We were in the market for a new laptop after a lightning strike ruined the one we had. My husband had been talking about a Mac, but when we priced them, we were hesitant. He needed a big screen for photo work and that would cost over $2000. So, we settled on a Sony for around $1000. Well, not long afterwards, we took off for a 2-month RV trip and I found the heavy Sony a pain in the neck to carry back and forth. Within a week, we decided to "bite the bullet" and found ourselves in the Apple store buying the smaller MacBook for me (about $1000). I must say the MacBook has been great. Though I'm still getting use to it, as I'v always had a PC, it's simple to use and quick to boot up and turn off. One feature I love is the Dashboard. It's a quick click and I can set it up to show features like the local weather, stock quotes, a dictionary, calendar, computer, clock, and many more. Note: If you are a teacher, you can get a discount when you purchase a Mac.
...

First of all once you go Mac you never go back! As soon as I ordered my MacBook I knew that I was going to love it. I was so excited when it arrived on my doorstep. When I opened the package I was pleased to see the crisp white color and to feel how light weight it is! I also liked the presentation when I opened my box it came with everything that one needs for the up keep of their new baby! After opening the box I moved from one great impression to the next. I excitedly turned my new Mac on and was pleased to know that moving around it was so simple. I didn't even have to pick up the manual, and I'm so not a manual reader! I've had my Mac for a little over a year now and I still love it. I haven't had one virus on my Mac, and I love the constant FREE updates on all applications! Another bonus is that its so fast! I have a lot of pictures and other documents and it still goes fast. So are you still not convinced that Macs are the best? Well there's a way to split your computer and have...
...

My employer chose to give us MacBooks as our company computer. I used to be a PC user, but I think now I've been converted. The laptop itself is very sturdy, and has survived a few bangs and drops here and there. Since the keyboard is white, it gets kind of grimy-looking after a while. The two USB ports are too close together to use simultaneously with most things (wide thumb drives, etc.), which kind of defeats the purpose of having two. But the magnetic charger port is great, and so is the ease with which I can check battery life on the back of the laptop. I also love all of the applications--iPhoto, iWeb, iDVD, and iCal are the best for non-professional use! I still haven't converted from Powerpoint to Keynote and other applications in that suite, but it might be worth a look. My favorite features are the keyboard shortcuts and the ability to activate hotspots in the corners of the screen.
...

I have had my MacBook for a few months now. My daughter has had Macs for longer. I could not be happier. I no longer have those "Report Errors" messages, I don't have to worry about viruses and the speed is fabulous.

iPhoto is so easy to use and interfaces with flickr easily. I was so surprised that I did not have to find a disc for each of my cameras, you just plug in the usb and Mac recognizes what you are using.

Then I decided I should jump totally in the boat and get an iPod! Wow iTunes and iPod together has made my life better. I have easy access to all my music and find myself listening to stuff I have not listen to in ages because it is so easy!

The screen is clear though sometimes I wish I'd put out the additional $$ and gotten to MacBook Pro. It takes and little bit of time to get use to the new operating system but once you do, you will never go back to PC. And I finally have a computer that has the battery life that it was advertised to have. Then there are the little things...
...

I've been always dreaming to have a Macbook laptop since my college days.. But only able to buy it few months ago when the bangs in my pocket was quite enough :p..I was so thrilled when I got my Macbook package in front of my house door :) It's just like receiving your christmas gift earlier..:)

I have been using IBM Thinkpad and DELL laptops for few years, but now I would say - like maybe most of Mac's users thoughts-.."Once you bite the Apple, you'll never want to go back!!!!"..As a first time user, I have been in a period of excitement and ackwardness all at once - I need some times to get used to it..switching all of kind of stuffs that I was more familiar with before; such as "Windows, MS Office etc..."

But now, I would say that I can't live without my Mac..I love it because it's so stylish, lightweight and boot so fast - compare to other laptops that used Windows operating system :p On the other hand, I am also getting a better result when editing my digital photos..the graphic...
...

Macbook so far is an amazing piece of technology. For a start you are supplied with many options for connecting to the internet. You can simply connect to the built in Wi-Fi Airport, or even use Bluetooth to connect to your phone for dial-up! It can immediately pick up a Wi-Fi signal for you so you don't have to waste time dealing with settings. With Bluetooth, you can also connect to external mouse and keyboard or other devices. Of course there are the old ways of plugging in Network cables for those who have not upgraded their type of internet connections.

One things about Apple computers in general is that they are always better for displaying graphics. Whether it's an extremely detailed game or if you are working on Photoshop or Illustrator, you will always get better looking results. The graphics seem to connect with the speed of the laptop where it will always load up faster than on a PC.

The best part of the Macbook is how it can catch a virus before it tries to harm your computer....
...

We've all seen the apple commercials on television, from the two men who represent the mac and the pc to the iPhone's "There's an app for that" commercials, catchy right? Well the products are just as described. The Apple Macbook both black and white are the easiest, most user friendly laptops out there. I used to be completely against Macs because i did not want to adjust to a new system but once you go mac you never go back. If you want a super fast processor, huge amount of storage space, and a sleek and stylish, not to mention popular laptop, then Mac is the way to go. It comes with many programs specifically for the Mac from music editing to video and photo editing, all built in! and the best part of it all? There are no viruses so your computer will never crash. Batteries can last up to 4 or 5 hours, screen quality is magnificent, clear and high quality. Easy access buttons for ejecting CD's or DVD's, changing volume level, changing screen lighting. Mac is the way to go for everyone....
...

When I needed a new laptop for college, a Mac was not my first choice, but the college I attended said to get it so I did. First I must say that the price was ridiculous. I ended up paying $1900...for a computer! I'll admit when I got it I had fun taking pictures with the webcam, but other than that it was nothing special. And after all the years I had spent using a PC it was hard to get used to not being able to right click and just the whole experience was different. So I had my MAC for less than a year when one night after using it I put it on the counter like I did everynight. Well, I went to use it the next sayand when I turned it on, the whole screen was white and there was ink "dripping" inside the screen. I took it to the genious bar at the MAC store, and they told me the only way that could've happened was if I put a pen on my laptop and then slammed the top down. Well, I most definately did not put a pen inside my $1900 laptop and the slam the lid. Then they said that it was not...
...

We bought a used mac book from a friend of a relative. I could not have been happier. I received some protective covers and other little goodies with the computer. It is fast on the internet and since I have never owned a laptop, I love the convenience of being mobile. I was concerned that I would be able to understand the "language" of a Mac since I have always been a PC user. With a little help from the kids, I have learned some of the "little tricks and feel comfortable that I can get to the things I am looking for. I had a battery problem and took it to he Genius Bar. It was under apple care so I got a new battery that now has 4 hours of battery life before having to be recharged. I have added microsoft office for Mac because that is the one thing I didn't want to have to "relearn". I would recommend a Mac to anyone who needs a reliable computer. I of course like the fact that I don't deal with virus issues.
...

the apple mac book is the best laptop i have ever had. i've had a gateway and a dell before getting my macbooks. it may seem like a lot of money compared to other laptops out there but because of all the things that are included with the macbook it is well worth the price tag. it is amazing to be able to make an appointment and meet with someone in person to help with any problems you may have. the programs on the laptop are awesome. all of the basic programs that are included when you purchase the laptop are great and the programs you can purchase to add on to your laptop are even more amazing. there are constantly updates to make the laptop and its programs run smoothly. the only issues i've had with my macbook is from cracks in keyboard cover which apple will replace. i use my laptop for school and work and it is so lightweight to carry around all day long. i know a lot of people who use the macbook for their photobusiness very successfully and also have friends who...
...
