The good: The Apple iPhone has a stunning display, a sleek design, and an innovative multitouch user interface. Its Safari browser makes for a superb Web surfing experience, and it offers easy-to-use apps. As an iPod, it shines.

The bad: The Apple iPhone has variable call quality and lacks some basic features found in many cell phones, including stereo Bluetooth support and 3G compatibility. Integrated memory is stingy for an iPod, and you have to sync the iPhone to manage music content.
...

As with hundreds of other cell phones, Voice Control lets you make calls by speaking the contact's name or phone number into the receiver. After you say your command, you'll get audio confirmation and the name or number will show on the display. If the iPhone makes a mistake, you can press an "undo" touch control at the bottom of the screen. The feature is speaker-independent, so you won't need to train it to recognize your voice; you'll be ready to go the first time you turn on the phone.

In our tests, the voice dialing performed well. When using names, it understood us accurately most of the time. It made occasional mistakes--for example, it wanted to call "Siemens" instead of "Stephen"--but that's hardly unusual for a voice dialer. Voice Control performed better when using only numbers. We didn't have to speak loudly, except in noisy environments, but it was capable of filtering out most background noise.

If you call a contact with multiple numbers, but don't specify which number you...
...

I bought this phone after waiting 2 years since the first iphone was launched and i must say what a delayed gratification i am having. firstly i paid very less price for the phone itself and i must say the new phone is so much better than its predecessors. the best thing about the 3GS is its speed with which the things execute. secondly, the interface to emails of all the accounts has made life so much easier on the go. on top that, with 75000 apps in the app store has made life so much easy.. the favorite apps are starbucks, amazon, google, vonage etc etc.. the only thing i dont like is 30$ extra for data plan and i cant have one data plan for whole family.. but overall a great phone..

The only thing i dont like about this phone is the battery life on it. I have to charge almost daily after using it for whole day checking emails, watching videos, playing games. I wish they could add an extra battery to package.

I received the 3G S Apple iPhone as a gift and I have found it to be the best cell phone I have ever used. Maybe the reason is because it's more like having a miniature personal computer than a cell phone, but I have really fallen in love with this flashy new iPhone. Its construction is the same as iPhone models that have come before it, but the improvements have made it one of those must have products when it comes to cell phone technology. Now I can't really think of the time where I could survive with a phone that couldn't perform as well as this one, and there is no turning back for my future cell phone use.

One of the major improvements to the new iPhone is that it works much faster than the old one. Internet pages load up immediately, text messages get sent quicker, and games respond quicker to individual requests while they are being played. Now it's like having a little laptop in front of me at all times, with the exception being that this little iPhone has a great...
...

Just purchased my iPhone 3gs 2 weeks ago and love it love it love it. It is easy to use for those who are technology challenged. The only down fall is my acrilic nails make it hard to use the touch pad, but there is a stylus you can purchase separate that works great. I could not live without my iPhone & stylus.
...

I was one of the lucky users of the original Apple iPhone. This meant I got in on the ground floor. Not only did I pay $600 originally (and have many people laugh at me), but I've sat witness to all of its changes. What started out to be a really expensive phone is turning into what I originally envisioned, a really small mobile computing center. My original two year contract was up, and I just couldn't help myself but buy the new and improved Apple iPhone 3GS to get in on the additional speed and features.

Don't get me wrong; I could have gone along using my old iPhone for quite some time and been quite happy. But I knew there was something else out there calling my name. Last year when the first 3G came out, it wasn't quite as enticing, as it was just faster, and I wasn't about to break contract to upgrade. But faster and more features, without having to break contract? Now you're talking.

We have to first realize that the greatest improvement made to the iPhone over the last few years...
...

I began my journey with Apple when i got my ROKR E1. Now this was the first phone with Itunes on it and I did not really care much about it. I was happy that I had a phone. When other people wanted to see my phone, People were shocked that I had Itunes on my phone. I grew to feel the Itunes, until, my phone began breaking down. My contract had ended a year before so I was up for an upgrade. The Phone I got was the Iphone 3G. Now this was a beauty. I was so happy with it, until, the 3GS came out. I Then got that.

Iphone 3GS

What A Phone!!!! Its got the same touch screen, same keyboard, and layout as the iphones before, but, the speed on this was amazing. It literally cut the time it took me to open an app in half. I was getting amazin speeds and better storage amount for the price i previously paid. This phone has voice control, 3.0 MP camera, Video Recorder, MMS, You can trim the videos you record, and virtually millions of apps that can do just about anything. ...
...

About: Apple - Iphone 3gs 32 GB Cell Phone

Three years after the first rumors of an Apple cell phone began to make the rounds, the iPhone continues to garner huge buzz, long lines, and a growing share of the cell phone market. And as we approach the second anniversary of the first model's frenzied launch day, Apple drops the newest model in our laps. The iPhone 3GS, which will hit stores June 19, promises faster processing and network speeds, extended battery life, more memory, and additional features. It's enough to get our attention, but not enough to get us completely excited.

In many ways, the iPhone 3GS delivers on its promises. The battery, which could sometimes deplete in less than a day on the iPhone 3G, lasted longer in our preliminary tests, and the phone's software ran noticeably faster. Yet, we still have some concerns. A faster AT&T 3G network isn't going to happen overnight, and some features, like tethering and multimedia messaging, aren't scheduled until later in summer...

...

Recently, I waited until my old phone died to buy the new iphone 3GS but I should have never waited that long. This phone is literally the best invention since the television. Literally, I see no need for a computer, television or home phone after this invention. Plus, it has a camcorder and camera as well so another added benefit.

I love the fact that you are able to select specific contacts as your favorites from all of your contacts as those are the people you most likely will call the most. Also, I enjoy the feature of having contact home/business addresses, birth dates and email addresses easily accessible for lookup. Additionally, you can have many of your email addresses sent to the mail button and it is very simple to switch between the two or in my case three.

Plus, I have downloaded a couple of apps for my preschool toddler that will come in handy when we have to wait and I can keep him preoccupied and just the other day my daughter and I were able to view the nightly...
...

I just got the Iphone 3Gs, I originally had the 3G. I don't think it is worth the extra money for this phone. The only big differnce is that you get a video camera....

I do love the Iphone though and have played with a bunch of touch screen phone.. The Iphone is by far the best out there. The Blackberry Storm's touch screen isn't as smooth as the Iphone.
