What can I say, even if it was lower somewhere else (which I've checked and it isn't), I would not move insurance companies, and more importantly agents. My agent knows me by name and always has the time and makes me feel important. Mike Eddy from American Family Insurance and his son Sean (in Minden, NV) are on top of any and every weird request we have. Recently my husband and I were both laid off and these guys went to bat for us making sure that we had everything changed to reflect our current needs. It is so nice not to feel judged or pressured into adding something we don't need, and to make it even better, they are always trying to get us the best rates and coverage. They do the work to make sure we have what we need, not just what makes the company money and their day easier. I cannot recommend them enough. Thanks American Family, you are my Insurance Family!

I was 18 when I purchased my first vehicle. I called many insurance companies and only one got back to me in a timely matter; American Family. I didn't shop around or really know what I was doing when I purchased auto insurance. Jenny was so nice to me and often gave me AmFam paraphenelia. As I got older and my circumstances changed Jenny worked with me and always gave me the best discounts she could. Eventually I decided to shop around a bit to see if maybe I was just being too trusting. What I did find was that no one even came within $100 of my 6 month coverage while still having the same protection. At one point I was asked to participate in a AmFam focus group. They paid us cash and had food for us. They wanted to know how their customers or former customers felt about them. There was hardly a bad word spoken. Some people had switched because they thought they were getting a better deal but with American Family the longer you stay with them the better their already great rates get....

When I purchased my new mini van in 2006, I also decided to look for a new insurance company. American Family came to my attention so I decided to give them a try. The agent was very personable and friendly. He even came to my house to drop off the information and insurance cards. He even sent special event ticket offers for local arena football games. I was impressed. Everything went beautifully for the first six months. After that, it was time for my renewal and my rates were increased. I did not have any claims or tickets so I didn't understand. I called to ask and I was told there was a general rate increase. I accepted that and carried on for another six months. Then when my next renewal came through, there was yet again an rate increase even though I had no accidents or tickets. Once again I called because this did not make sense to me. Rate are suppose to go down for good driving. I was told that it was because the rates were based on my credit score and...

American Family insurance, I love it, We went through a lot of insurance companies and I have got to say, American Family gave us auto and rental insurance at a very low price something we could actually afford. They are always there when we need them. This is the first insurance company I don't feel ripped off from.We insure a truck , car and our rental for under 100 dollars for us that is cheap.

I have been with American Family Insurance for 15 years. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for my insurace needs even for less money. My agent is wonderful. He always trys to help us save money on our insurance needs. I have sent many people to him over the years. Several times we have needed his help and he is always there 24/7. I think I feel more protected by him than what he sells.

I recently decided to go through a thorough review of all of my homeowners and automobile insurance requirements and coverages. I used to be very lax about this, but over the past several years as my financial position has improved and my family has grown (both in size and count), i have tended to become more aware of the nuances and differences between different insurance companies, and between the coverages that they offer. I was pleasantly surprised to find American Family Insurance company through a quote from the "NetQuote" service... I was contacted directly by a local agent who was clearly motivated to get my business, but who was also extremely knowledgeable, and who i felt was very open with me on my needs and how much I "should" be covered for. She pointed out several holes in my total coverage amounts (particularly in liability), and after further study, i completely agreed i needed more. I've been using American Family Insurance for the last 6 years and have found that they are a great company willing to help you out as best as they can. When you have a questions they will do whatever they can to answer them.

Whether you have full coverage or liability they are one of the cheapest insurance companies I know of, so far.

Most of the other companies out there look at you credit and then give you a quote. I'll tell you now, this company never did that and i'm glad I went shopping around. To get the best deals for your insurance, you should always shop around and find out what is the cheapest for you.

American Family has 24 hour costumer service so if you need to contact them there is someone there. To get the best deals they have to save you money, find out what discounts they have and try to get those. Saving money, even in times as they are right now, is important.

American Family Insurance is a great company to take a look at.

Only problem I've ever had is they've increased my rates for no reason without contacting me. They always handle questions in a timely fashion and they try to keep up with your life. Very kind staff and a pleasant experience for the last 5+ years. Will continue to use them!...
