AshleyMarieMireles says "American Made. Stylish. Comfy. What's not to like?" about American Apparel

I love t-shirts. That needs to be said first. I'm also very picky about necklines and materials. American Apparel covers both issues. They have a wide array of necklines on their t-shirts from boatneck to crew and deep-v, and they come in the most comfortable stretch cotton i've ever come across. Not only are their t-shirts uber comfy! They sell very cute gym shorts and simple cotton dresses. Yeah, some of the things they have to buy are a little odd and I wouldn't wear them by hey, in America we have the freedom to dress as we please and If that means two toned tights and rompers so be it! The shipping isn't too bad and the clothes came in record time. When they say 3-5 days think 3. More than that I love that it's an American Company that employees Americans to make their product. I'm supporting job creation! Yay! You should support them as well!
...

shalineko says "American Apparel---something for everyone." about American Apparel

American Apparel is probably one of the most well known brand names in the US. Perhaps because of the versatility, practicality, or style of their clothes. Or perhaps simply because all of their clothes are American made rather than in sweat shops. Sure, it may be a bit pricier than other websites that carry similar clothing, but the truth is that you will not find these other clothes to be as comfortable nor as high quality.

I recently ordered a kelly green mini skirt and found myself excited, elated even when I put it on. Not only did it fit like a glove but it was also very flattering. It was the perfect length and I love how soft the material is! I also own a few t-shirts and can say the same for their softness. Even after a few washes, the shirts fit very well and almost seem to mold to your body.

I recommend buying clothes in batches off of the website if you don't have an American Apparel retailer near you, however. Shipping costs are quite high to order just one item at a time....
...

the idea is great, but the reality is that american apparel is overpriced and the clothes are cut for skinny, tall kids. there is a generosity of length in the tank tops, but not of breadth. these tank tops run small, but they are longer than most other tanks. when you shrink them, there's still some length so that your stomach isn't showing. but they're basically junior sized without saying so. i'm looking for another resource for tank tops.
...

I love this place! The website and the stores. Their clothes are so fashionable right now--celebs are wearing them and they're so cheap for something that isn't made in a sweat-shop in china.

They are always adding new items to their line and colors and patterns. I feel like they have great potential.

Plus hot girl and guy models on the website. Real life cute!
...

American Apparel has the best clothes in my opinion and I'm willing to pay extra for american made items.

There was a problem with sizing in their "slim slack". I own two pairs in a size 26" already: in peacock and midnight blue which fit beautifullly (except peacock is a little baggy on me). I ordered a pair in black and i couldn't even zip them. I can't understand how three pairs of pants that are "true to size" could fit so differently.

I was a little ticked that I couldn't return them in a store and that I had to pay to ship them back; when I don't think inconsistent sizing is "my mistake".

It's not going to stop me from buying AA items, but I will only do so from their B&M stores from now on so I can try everything on. The folks who work in the stores are friendly and will order anything that is out of stock for you and not charge shipping.

Their website is a nightmare in terms of customer service and shipping.
...

RudiXeno says "The home of American-made cotton basics" about American Apparel

When you live in a household dominated by females you get used to seeing at least one new shopping bag a day containing more clothing. Usually it's more of the basics. New sweats, tanks, tees, hoodies, etc.

You name the color and the style and chances are it's found its way into this home. When it's not an issue of designer label, our brand of choice has been American Apparel.

Located in Los Angeles, they are one of the few remaining clothing manufacturers that produce their wares here in the U.S.

About a year ago we discovered their web-site and their on-line store (www.americanapparel.net).

There you can go through their entire catalog, assemble an order and have it shipped the same day.

Enormous Selection

The lovely Veronica and our daughter Jenna seem to have fallen in love with American Apparel. They love the ability to select from a broad range of basics, be confident in the fit, and have an almost limitless color palette to choose from.

The senior Xeno sister who has recently had...
...
