andrewroxx says "French Movie, French Love, One Word: Amelie!" about Amelie

Amelie, only hearing the name you get interested on that one. It is a movie that really rocks! From the start to the end.

Audrey Tautou is simply excellent! She has the little charm that cautivates you on all the film. It talks about one thing we all know: love, but not just love as it is... True love, love with all its words. Described on a way you can never expect. The director does an excellent work and the Cameras Director is also good, he gave to the movie a beauty out of this world.

Is visually nice, and the dialogues are cutes, but well selected. It gives you a message of what the true love is, excellent for see it with your girl/boyfriend or with the family, friends, lover even your dog =D!

If you haven't see it, what are you waiting for? This weekend is a great day to watch it, go buy this film, it worth it. Also, there is another movie with Audrey Tautou, is called "Hors de prix" and it's also a great film! Don't miss the chance to see both!
...

love it, love it, loveit. this movie just makes me really happy. a friend introduced me to it, becasue he thought me similar to the main character, amelie. not so much. shes much to adorable and clever. while the cinamatography is simple, it is visually intersting. the colors, also simple, pop. and the characters are to out there to relate to in one way or another....

Without all the hype, this is a pretty decent movie. But don't fool yourselves into thinking that it represents foreign/independent film - it's not. This movie has a huge budget and is basically a good example of a non-English Hollywood production....

caffienelush says "simply stunning!" about Amelie

I just shared this movie with my 23 year old daughter a few nights ago... she loved it. And what's not to love?! It's a stunning movie that should appeal to just about anyone.
Amelie is a not-to-be-missed movie that should make you rethink your life a bit... what is it really about? Working 10 hours a day? or enjoying life to the best of your ability?
Amelie is sub-titled and while that may turn some people off I think it makes it that much more endearing. In our family, when we watch a movie we often multitask... checking email or other busy work... we often don't give the movies our full attention. When you have to read subtitles you have to give the film full attention. This movie deserves the extra work!
Visually this film is wonderful!
Watch it, you won't be disappointed.
...

From the first scene in Amelie I felt as if my whole body was giggling. This movie is simple, yet deep. The characters have very distinct personalities and I fell in love with everyone of them.

Watching this movie made me feel very satisfied and happy at the end. There are so many cute scenes, cute plots turns, beautiful imagery, and a unique storyline.

It's not as dark as the other Jean-Pierre Jeunet films, but just as visually satisfying and unique.

This is my most favorite movie.
...

I know, I know.. Everyone loves this movie, right?
Sherryta says "A movie for all the quirky daydreamers out there!" about Amelie

When I first saw this movie, the connections I had with the protagonist didn't quite click. But by the second time, I was in love. We see her daydreams, her fears, her fantasies, and all the great quirkiness one could hope for in a character - as well as in other ones. It goes over some people's heads sometimes, but this movie should actually increase sensitivity - or at least make people think of others a bit more.

There are so many great things in this film (the cinematography, the dialogue, the talking pictures, the transitions through time, the good deeds being shown, - I could go on, but you should see it for yourself. I've only met one person that didn't love this film, and he could never give me a very good explanation as to why. I suppose I'm not doing good to hype it up for you, which is what probably happened to him. Try to go in with a clear, open mind, and just look for the things I said, but don't try to guess how they will be done. I believe I can say that this is my all-time...
...

fortitudo says "Makes you remember that life shouldn't be so serious." about Amelie

I love this movie so much. The music is wonderful and the story line is fun. It is a good indie film and I think that anyone open to enjoying life will like it too. It is not your typical blockbuster film, but I think that it has alot more to learn from than most films these days....
