It's not at all obvious. Perhaps reviewers in general want to influence what gets read. But it is hard to believe that one review has much impact in a pile of 1,385 of them, or even among the 295 reviews of Freakonomics at Amazon.</p> <p>No doubt developing a reputation for being a top reviewer is a motivation for some people. Amazon obviously likes to encourage these kind of reviewers by giving frequent reviewers titles like "Top 1000 reviewer." By accident, I found out that amazon.com has a huge selection of MP3 downloads! </p> <p>They have albums on special every day, and a section of "MP3 Albums Under $5.99," they also offer free selections every day, not just one obscure song like on iTunes. I got five free easy listening songs for free at once, and they were popular AM Radio Gold ones. Several years ago I could hardly find eco-friendly or organic products online. Now they have a whole section dedicated to environmentally friendly products. They also carry various name brand items and offer deals that are hard to pass up like their free shipping program and the suscribe and save program. Without these deals the prices can be a little higher than average compared to other places.</p> <p>I love that just about every survey site and incentive program online offeres Amazon gift cards as rewards because this allows me to save up my rewards and purchase items I need or want that I could otherwise not afford without the the gift certificates.</p> <p>My main complaint about amazon is their packaging and shipping department. I have never been disappointed with anything I have received and things always arrive in a timely matter. Amazon also has a WIDE selection of products. I have been lucky enough to almost always get free shipping. I am always surprised that I can get the big name products for such bargain basement prices. They do sell some reconditioned items, but I always buy new. I have trouble walking for long periods so this is a fantastic way to do my Christmas shopping. I also love the free shipping that you can receive on order over $25 for thousands of items. I do my Christmas shopping, birthday shopping, &amp; shopping for myself all on Amazon.com. Another feature of Amazon.com that makes things easier for me is the wish list. I can look up items that I might want to buy &amp; add it to my wish list, then when I have some money available I can go to my wish list &amp; select what I wanted.
