Ok let me say that I read and read often...I have many subscriptions to magazines. I read an allure magazine and was surprised at the ads and the content that is being read by young females. It is a sad commentary on our society to have gargbage out there readily available in grocery stores at check out counters. I will not recommend this magazine nor will I purchase it ever again.

As a subscriber I receive my bible every month, for that's what Allure Magazine is to me. It keeps me up to date on what the latest fashions are and what the best beauty products are.

Allure Magazine has great fashion ideas. It informs its readers of the absolute latest in fashion styles and how to wear them. It shows the trendiest of clothes as well as the classics. What bag is hot? What shoes are right for you? How should I wear last year's sweater with this year's dress? Where do I buy these great finds? Find out in Allure Magazine!

In addition to fashion Allure Magazine offers the best advice on makeup and cosmetics. It informs you where you can get a wonderful massage, manicure, pedicure, and facial. Allure Magazine also reviews products from its readers and has articles and how to's to help readers make the decisions that are just right for them.

Allure is a great magazine for women of all ages. Every issue is filled to the brim with information on the latest cosmetics, hair products, shoes and clothes. It's my go to when I want information regarding the latest on facial products. I read each issue cover to cover then pass it on to my daughter. It's the magazine I read as soon as I get it and I will never let my subscription expire.

Great beauty advice 4 every budget! Great Short Stories with plenty of informative articles - learn the looks that will work best for you whether for work, school or for a big night out! This magazine has gotten better within the last 2 years

Can't beat the $12 subscription fee :)

I'm not sure any more how long Allure has been in publication....but it's been a while! I've been with them just about the entire time. I can count on Allure to give me up to date fashion and beauty advice and tell me of new products that I would otherwise never know about. I live in a small town where there is little shopping...my high end purchases are usually ordered from Sephora - after I read about them in Allure, of course. I love the contests Allure has every month. Hundreds of giveaways - I've actually won a few! There were a few issues some years ago that included several samples of eyeshadows and lipsticks..wish they'd start that up again. There is interesting reading in Allure as well. It's not rocket science but i don't think that's why we buy this magazine. Perfect reading for a day at the beach...you can have a glass of wine and still comprehend what you've read! Don't stop now Allure...I'm addicted!

oh, subscription price is dirt cheap....$10.00 - $12.00!

If you are wanting a magazine that provides strictly fashion and beauty advice with not a lot of extra fluff and reading to do, here is your magazine. I have a subscription to Allure along with several other beauty magazines. Like I said before, there is not a lot of reading to do but it's definitely one of the best magazines to flip through and check out quick tips and new products. I don't like Allure as well as Glamour. But it is probably one of my top 3 favorite Fashion/Beauty magazines.

Allure is a magazine that works. It works because it takes its reader on a flight of fantasy and glamour.

For many years, I noticed the seductive and dramatic covers of Allure magazine looking out from magazine racks. Yet, I rarely chose to pick up a copy. I always expected it to be shallow and perhaps even a little bit obscene. When I finally decided to pick up a copy, I was surprised to find I thoroughly enjoyed it. Allure is edgy, without falling off the edge. Its photography is creative and a bit surreal. And the choice of features is sometimes unique, sometimes informative, and often a bit absurd and amusing.

Mostly though, it is the 'nuts and bolts' of good magazine production that pulls it all together. First of all, the writing is simple and creative. The following sentence from the December of 2008's issue is an example of this: "Our new Stakeout Style blog gathers the fashion secrets of real women on the streets of New York and beyond." ...

Allure magazine is the definitive beauty source - no other magazine gives in-depth and the most current news about beauty products. Most magazines have a small sections devoted to the beauty scene but are mostly concerned with fashion and articles of, to me, useless info. I am a beauty professional and this is a subscription that I will forever keep - it gives me a quick resource to new products and more importantly - products that I know my clients are going to hear about/see and want to know more about and hopefully buy!!

The only beef I have, and I have written to the editor is that I don't appreciate that when crediting specific cosmetics used in a photo, the photo is never close up or in appropriate lighting to actually see the shades. I mean I can see the model is made up but you wouldn't be able to tell what eyeshadow, eyeliner or even lipcolor she is actually wearing! I think that this is purposely done, the credits are being paid for by the vendor and who knows what......

Very much love this magazine! Maybe one thing don't like, but not enough to ever cancel my subscription! All the new products and best ways for makeup application and hair styles! I have been a subscriber for 4 years and do not see me stopping anytime in the future!!!...

This magazine is the most vapid and pointless piece of fluff I've ever read. I would like at least one intelligent article in a magazine. To each her own, I suppose, but I will never buy it again....

This magaizine is focused on the look of its clientel and it doesnt disappoint. Like alot of other magazines geared toward's women, they all tend to cover the same topics. Glamour does a descent job of trying to bring in articles that differ some from other woman's magazine. Its an entertaining magazine that is fun to read....

This is a good magazine to catch up on the new trends! Make-up is a huge thing in this magazine. I have learned though, that they dont exactly show you or give real instructions on how to do so. But they show a lot of great pictures. They feature a lot of the stars that i personally like on the cover. You must be a trendy person to like this magazine....

Allure is one magazine that I cannot wait to receive in the mail. Although it's a simple read, and you will hardly find anything of "substance", that is the reason why I read allure. If I want hard-hitting substance or something serious, I will turn on the news or read a book. Allure is fashion magazine and thus is meant to be fun. It is full of advice on the latest beauty, fashion and accessory trends and how to pull them off successfully. It is meant for women over 17 or 18 and unlike Vogue or Instyle, where every item featured is a brand most cannot afford, allure features mostly items that are affordable. For a fun read to keep you in the know with fashion, Allure is a great read!...

I like Allure as it keeps me in style. Also, it is inexpensive entertainment for me. Then, I like free stuff they offer on their website.

And I've subscribed for their AllureRewards program. So I can save 5-15% on famous beauty and fashion stores.
