so far the best allergy medicine I have used is Allegra D. It really works. Other than the only one side effect that I had which was extremely dry mouth I think this medicine works wonders

Allegra-D has been my allergy medication for 4 years. I take it twice a day and it works. I have tried others, but this works and does not make you drowsy. I am a nurse, and I cannot be sleepy on the job, and with Allegra-D, my allergies are under control and I am able to work a 12 hour shift without any problem....

There are times when my allergies to pollen, dust and detergent wreaks havoc with my sinuses. WHen that happens, I get viscious sinus headaches. Over the counter medications have no real effect to relieve this. The only product that I have ever found to be effective is Allegra. The headaches go away and stay away....

I have taken the 24 hour and the 12 hour and I much prefer the 24 hour pill.
The 12 hour is an oval caplet with 2 colors. One on the top and one on the bottom. I suppose this is some sort of time release method; however it is VERY hard on my stomach. Typically a portion of the pill never even gets broken down, so I can assume that I am not getting the full effects either.

I find that; although it is the decongestant formula, the antihistimine portion takes over and causes me to have very dry nasal passages and throat. It makes my throat audibly dry and scratchy. The advantage is that I do seem to not sneeze as much when I use it.

Overall, I will take it when I have nothing else, but I don't find that it offers me any type of amazing result. I'm still looking for that "miracle" drug that will allow me to breathe AND not sneeze!...

As I was at the doctor this Fall once again suffering from a severe attack of the outside world, he gave me a wonderful sample of Allegra D to try. And I must tell you that within a days time, I could breathe easier, sneeze less and I was not afraid of letting the windows down in the car. My husband loves fresh air in the house and in the car, he is always wanting to let the windows down, but can't for fear that I won't be able to breathe the fresh air. Not the case here recently when the doctor gave me Allegra D to try. I was able to open the windows in the car and enjoy the same fresh air that my husband was trying to get too....
