LoveisJoy says "A Gift Given is A Gift Received" about All About Me

I bought this book after reading a positive review about it here at Viewpoints (Thanks PattyTherre!) As a genealogy buff, I had been thinking about getting more information from my mother, as she is getting on in years. When my grandmother passed away, she left me a few letters describing her life. It was good information to know, but I found myself wishing I had thought to ask her more probing questions to get a more complete picture of her life. After reading Patty's review, I knew that this book--All About Me--could provide an easy way for my mother to gather her thoughts and share them with her descendants. I bought the book as a gift to my mother, and she filled it out and returned it as a gift to me. This book has become one of the most precious items I own.
All About Me is described as a journal for self-discovery and self-revelation, and it is. However, it is also a journal that allows you to share your discoveries, revelations, and life lessons with loved ones. ...
...

crjackson2008 says "Good way to entertain yourself" about All About Me

I like the book as a way to spend time when you need time to yourself. What I don't like about the book is that there are some questions that I am just really not interested in answering. But I guess that is unavoidable, nothing that they could improve on....

plkgirl says "Very cool book but you gotta invest a lot of time and thought" about All About Me

This book is really cool and I can see how it could be therapeutic and take the "reader" on a journey to get to know themselves. Unfortunately as a new mom, I just to not have the time to do the "work" right now. The questions run the gamut, but many of them require lots of introspected thought and then rethought before you put your thoughts down on paper. I would say if you have quite a bit of spare time then you should absolutely get this book - it seems fun and frank and like the benefits would be tenfold. If you do not have a lot of time, you may want to put it on hold. I absolutely plan on filling this out someday. For now, we use it for fun and pick a question out of it now and then to answer at a get together or on a quiet night. ...

A boy gave me this book as a way to ask me to banquet. The "clues" I followed to find out who was asking me were the answers to many questions in this book. It was a FANTASTIC ice breaker and when He wrote in the front about how many people are very mundane and predictable, but not me. I was unique. I think I cried. It was so much better than flowers and I learned so much about myself. I find myself going back to this book to find ice breaker questions to ask new friends....

I bought this book as a gift for my girlfriend. I filled it out and gave it to her for an anniversary. It was one of the best gifts I could give her. The other gifts were second to this book. It really allowed us to progress. A wonderful way to express how much you care about someone....

tide1800 says "one of the best books of all time" about All About Me

All About Me can serve as a fine tool for improving your self-knowledge; it's also been used by couples who want to get to know each other better, and would make great fodder for getting a party going (especially the question, "Does a photo of you naked exist?"). If you're interested in self-actualization or improving your relationships, you'll find the book fascinating, while anyone just looking for a fun way to spend a rainy day or make a long trip go by faster will be rewarded, too....

fira54 says "I love, love, love these books!!!" about All About Me

There are at least two books in this series. There is this one and a relationship book entitled, "All About Us". I am a huge, huge fan of these books!!!

What this book is, is a series of questions to get inside and find out who you really are. You write your answers directly in the pages. Alot of these questions are very deep and personal, so it can sometimes help you figure out things about yourself that you wouldn't normally realise.

I personally enjoy going back a year or two later from filling the book out and writing in new answers. Its amazing to see excactly how much you have changed in just a few years, by the everchanging responses. Sometimes, you don't always realise just how much you have grown until you see it there in black and white.

I would suggest this book to anyone and I also think it would make a great gift! If you are a couple, make sure you also check out "All About Us".
...

Readit says "Unique gift for the person who has everything!" about All About Me

Are you looking for a one of a kind gift? Is the recipient hard to please or have everything that they could ever want? This book is the answer! The book features many questions with blank lines to fill in the answers. Some questions are though provoking, some fun, some will bring back long forgotten memories. This is a good starter book if someone is interested in starting a journal or for journal prompts.

Some questions are of an adult nature, therefore eighteen and over would be a good age to give this book to. I have this book and add to it every so often. I received it as a gift, with a nice pen, and entered the date that I started answering the questions. Ten years later, and I am still answering the questions. It is good to look back and see the changes in life.

If you have a person that enjoys Q&A and journaling, this is the perfect gift!

...

PattyTherre says "Give the gift of yourself. Fill out All About Me & pass it on." about All About Me

Quick View: I have written a lot of reviews about my various written journals and how much I love to hand write in unique journals. This journal, All About Me, is more of a gift to someone after it's filled out or good to give as a gift and ask for it back filled out. Filled with all kinds of questions to answer, this journal gives a snapshot of the person filling it out, from simple things like favorite color to complex things to biggest regrets. I bought one for each of my sons to fill out and give back to me. I filled mine out for them.

About All About Me

This hardcover journal looks like a thin book. The cover is black with simple white writing. Inside, it starts right out with personal information to fill out. Then it is broken into many categories such as family, emotions, wishes and dreams, morals, favorites, fears, and much more. Some questions are fill in the blank, some are yes or no and some are multiple choice. Each section reveals different things about the person filling...
...
